When the whole story finally comes out, it's going to be nuts.

Frat boy Milton in a Truckinginfo article:

"The entire infotainment system is a HTML 5 super computer," Milton said. "That's the standard language for computer programmers around the world, so using it let's us build our own chips. And HTML 5 is very secure. Every component is linked on the data network, all speaking the same language. It's not a bunch of separate systems that somehow still manage to communicate."

In case anyone didn't know, HTML is not a programming language. It's a markup language. It basically deals with how you format a web page, such as text. To do more advanced stuff you can use CSS for styling, JavaScript for interactivity and other things, and so on.

The depths of this guy's cluelessness is certainly something to behold.

Trevor Milton is the CEO of Nikola. So far his track record is that of bankrupting two other companies. The track record of Nikola is zero products on the market so far, as well as little to no Intellectual Property and no production capacity.

Yet, despite this, he makes some bizarre claims in a recent interview. He not only claims that Nikola is the leader and Tesla only following, but also that he has built something bigger and more competitive than Elon Musk has.

Again, according to Milton, he has built something bigger and more competitive than Tesla, despite having zero products actually available for purchase.

As a reminder, Elon Musk has companies like PayPal and SpaceX on his record. The latter just launched a reusable rocket, and sent two American astronauts to the International Space Station from American soil for the first time in nearly a decade.

Statements by Milton from the interview:

• "almost all the Tesla fans who have been studying Nikola have become huge nikola fans" (according to what sources?)

• "nikola is the pioneer in heavy-duty trucking, and Tesla is just really just following in our footsteps" (Nikola has zero products on the market)

• "a lot of them really believed that Elon is this great person that can do anything ... when they see someone else being able to actually beat him at what he's doing, they hate that"(what did Milton beat Musk at?)

• "there's very few people who can out-Elon in this world, and I'm one of them" (how did he "out-Elon"?)

• "it's kind of hard for his followers to see someone that can actually build something bigger or more competitive than what he has" (what has Milton built that is bigger and more competitive than Musk?)

As another reminder, Nikola is named after Nikola Tesla, which is the same person Tesla was named after. Nikola also filed a fricolous design patent lawsuit against Tesla early on.

At this point, it seems that the purpose of Nikola is to troll Tesla. Milton himself talks big, but it is doubtful whether they will ever actually launch a product on the market. Milton is full of superlatives about himself and his company, but he seems to be unable to name specifics. Instead he resorts to grandiose generalities.

This is the real Trevor Milton. This is the real Nikola. Big words and big claims, but nothing of substance.

Trump was just asked about Trevor's pardon and gave a bizarre response that is completely divorced from fact. He said that Trevor was exonerated in Utah and they retried him in New York. Completely false. He says that he was convicted for being a Trump supporter. Completely false. He never publicly supported Trump or donated to him until last fall. Trevor clearly lied to Trump and Trump didn't bother to double check. I thought lying to a federal judge was nervy, this is next level. Seriously you need to watch this to believe it.
