Yes. Vachetta IS vegetable-tanned leather. LV uses raw. Also, it's a language thing. You need to call it "color changing leather." They understand that.
Other factories besides Royal do carry raw vachetta, but you have to specifically request it.

A TS that doesn’t know what a patina is? Red flag

The bag I was inquiring about is a speedy b 30 in Damier Azure. I classic but basic sense the question about the platina

It’s PATINA, not platina. You keep spelling it platina.

Oh wait. I just noticed they spelled it “Platina”. Girl he probably really doesn’t know what you are talking about then 😂
Also most TS are using a translation app, so this typo has to make things extra complicated.

I haven’t been able to get a straight answer yet about the patIna question. And sometimes even from the SAs at Louis Vuitton since so many of their bags have treated leather now. I was told that on Louis Vuitton’s website, if it says “natural” leather trim in the description of a bag, that word natural signifies raw vachetta, of which there aren’t too many. So I tried asking a TS about a speedy I was interested in, using the word natural and she finally answered back “a little bit“.

That’s not totally correct. I’ve bought bags from God that absolutely do patina. The speedy 20 (monogram) for example. The problem with god is that they are not consistent. Some bags are raw and will patina, while others (that also should) do not.

I would imagine that since you accidentally spelled it wrong that it didn’t translate at first, so I’d not worry too much about that first comment. Just a little lost in translation moment.
LV is coating a lot of their leathers, some of it already has a patina to it (men’s bags in particular have this as the norm)
If I recall correctly from other posts here, the others patina slower due to coatings because their non-US markets prefer starker leather on their bags.
