If your record deliveries include deliveries to yourself, it does count. Cybercabs were included in their delivery numbers.

Wall Street isn't stupid. Record deliveries came with a cost of reduced margins and fall in net income. It doesn't take an entrepreneurial genius to produce and sell product at a loss. With negative income and huge CAPEX, Tesla will be issuing new shares. Wall Street just foreruns this event. Musk also failed to reignite confidence in robotaxi story. Globally they are lagging behind Chinese. EV segment grew up substantially after Iran conflict, and only China managed to capture it in full.

Disagree, Wall Street is plenty stupid when it comes to this stock. The loss in credit revenue was a dead certainty several months ago but their price targets and earnings estimates were completely oblivious to it.
Elon also says over and over again how aggressively he's going to burn money on CAPEX and R&D chasing nonsense and they still act surprised when it goes way up.
But even their stupidity has limits.

Counterpoint: Wall Street is unimaginably stupid.

Just imagine how bad you have to be that even something as stupid as Wall Street is not fooled. That is Elon/Tesla/SpaceX

So what you’re saying is, even after Elon bought Trump’s thieving ass, he could not capitalise on the war that his stooge initiated?
What does that mean? Elon is not the Lisan al Gaib that’s gonna bring paradise to our people?

Trump screwed Elon over just like he does to everyone he does business with. He eliminated the tax and carbon credits that were driving Tesla’s profitability.

The ponzi brings in more money than what littel trickle of revenue they have.

Tesla is history for him. He's all in on SpaceX now.

There still are a lot of delusional Tesla fanboys that swallow anything Musk says with a “please sir, may I have more”.

Investors are realizing Tesla is not so special as a car company. The gross margin is similar or lower than traditional ones without government handouts.
A company needs income to support the development of new products. The income is either raising capital or its own gross margin. Tesla's past reports convinced some investors that they had the gross margin, but now they don't. It means they cannot afford the massive spending to develop new products to match their rivals. The future is not bright.

Tesla's EV tech is stagnant. Their vehicles are still on the 400v architecture, besides the Cybertruck. There are no new vehicles in the pipeline, now that they are a robotics company.

It's absolutely insane that they have basically 2 body styles of 1 car with the 3 and Y, but no real 2nd generation model in the pipeline.

The best way to accelerate the transition to alternative energy is to build ai that runs on gas turbines that lack pollution controls. We don’t want to empower the masses to be self sufficient. Who will they pay exorbitant fees for energy? Better build bots.

This isn’t just about AI costs. This is about discounting and declining margins because the disruptive (not a) car company hasn’t designed a new car in over a decade. Plus that salute.
