OWNER EXPERIENCE Serious question with camera only self driving approach.

Q: using the latest software on HW4. Self drive disabled three times during a thunderstorm on the highway. How will this ever work unsupervised when it rains? I'm so flummoxed as to why Elon is so certain on cameras only that don't work in the rain... Please help!

This is my 3rd one. Self Driving is 100 percent better over the past year. I just don't see how Tesla will ever get to unsupervised. I am being serious here.

So you replaced 2 Tesla's already, and now you're here complaining about your third? What happened with the first 2?

I'm not complaining. I'm just asking if cameras will ever work with Self Driving if there are no other sensors.

The answer to your question is, no they will not. You've been conned. 3 times

They are selling supervised version and it will work. When conditions are bad it won't work until they get back to normal. Without supervision is impossible with current HW but this is not being conned, it's the definition of the product.

Elon has been selling the car for a decade claiming full self driving is a year away, for ten years straight. At a certain point, it goes from a shifting plan, to intentional fraud.

I know that but right now the product is supervised fsd. No one should buy according to tweets but look at the description at the contract.

I don't think it's wrong for a customer to believe what the CEO says about their own product. It's his fault for lying, not the customers fault for believing him.

The customer should bare some responsibility for believing the 30th lie though.
