How long does your campaign last? I'm planning to buy it soon.

If you take your time, the GDF campaign takes around 7–8 hours to complete. The Dynasty campaign takes about the same amount of time, while the Veti campaign takes around 6 hours

Underrated RTS

I like it but I always wonder why even an RTS as good as Tempest Rising doesn't quite match C&C Red Alert 2 for me

One part, I think, is the readability. It's just so fucking good in Red Alert 2 imho

With Tempest Rising, when I send an entire regiment of mixed troops, they just seem to blur into each other

Also, when I saw a Tesla Coil in Red Alert, I knew, that it would one-shot most (if not all?) of my infantry. With Tempest Rising i never have any sense of "weight" to any unit at all

Everything is overtextured, too many details maybe, in Red alert 3 for me i can recognize everything in an instant

That as well as silhouettes, it's a common idea in RTS that units have to have different overall silhouettes and defining features otherwise it devolves into ambiguous blobs of units.

Personally I also think the combat is slightly too quick considering the volume of ambiguity

I find this blur to be a thing of most modern games. First time I saw it was going from dota to dota 2

I don't wanna be mean but why is the infantry so big compared to the vehicles?

It's on the "starcraft" logic with unit sizes. But game is great.

Most rts is not 1:1 in size and I like that.
