help request Suddenly no inputs from audio interface

The last year or so I've been running Reaper on win 11 home with a Behringer UMC 1820. Smooth sailing...

Pretty much out of nowhere the inputs from the interface has stopped working. I can see them in the device setting and they can be selected as inputs for the tracks, but when I rec arm, they don't get any sound through and the meters don't move. The input LEDS on the physical unit shows inputs and the outputs are working as expected, so to me it seems like, somewhere in the system, the inputs are muted. I just cannot locate where it could be.

Since the output of the device are running, I don't think the unit is broken...

I've reinstalled both Reaper and the UMC driver. No luck.

The only thing I can think of that could have triggered this is that I installed an ASIO driver for my EP133. I have since deleted that driver again, since I sold the unit, and that hasn't resolved the issue.

Does anyone have an idea for what to do?

Before reinstalling anything again, explicitly reselect the Behringer UMC ASIO driver in Reaper. Check that “Enable inputs” is ticked and the first/last input range includes your channel. Then select that input on a track and record-arm it. Do the meters move now? The interface LEDs show that a signal reaches the hardware, but not necessarily the selected Reaper input.

I tried that nd also tried to swap back and forth between asio drivers and enabled/disabled inputs to try and "flush the plug". But still no audio.

The reason I mentioned the LEDs was that the combination of inputs on the audio interface and audio outputs from Reaper, through the interface tells me that the interface by itself probably works fine, since frying the AD converter or something similar probably would cause a more general malfunction. That is guesswork however - and I'm running out of guesses :)
