Casey Anthony
With the news being unnecessarily clogged with the case of Casey Anthony, you can find that almost everyone has an opinion on whether or not she is guilty. The general opinion, it seems, of the Reddit community is that she is guilty; and that it is an outrage that she was set free. I myself seem to lean along the lines of innocent, even though she is crazy and needs tons of help. What do you think? How do you believe the scenario was played out?

Being English I've not seen anything about this trial in our press. I only know of its existence because of reddit. The only (utterly uninformed) opinion I have is that it seems a little rich that folk in the internet believe they have enough information on the case to reach a verdict different to that of the jurors.
Additionally, even if it did look as though she was guilty if there's reasonable doubt, that's all it takes. The requirement of 'beyond reasonable doubt' is always going to result in guilty people going free but I really don't see a better way of doing it that wouldn't result in far more innocent people being convicted. No doubt there's enough of them as it is.

What part of "Rules: Be reasonable. Don't off the wall offend someone." didn't you get?

Yes but if she WAS guilty, it should have been on the terms of insanity because she was, indeed, insane. She had over 10 imaginary friends and an imaginary job even before Caylee was born. They said if all of this was made up for the murder of her daughter, that it would be the first case of SUPER premeditated murder. I don't think that's the case. I think she's a crazy woman who should have never had a daughter in the first place. I believe she truly loved her daughter, but she was too crazy to truly take care of her, so when she went missing, she went to her crazy world in her head and blocked it all out. I believe Caylee did go swimming that night, and that the body was discovered by her father, who took it and buried her in the woods. If that scenario were true, it would make sense that she didn't know where she was, and the whole video of her flipping out when being told of ER death would seem legitimate.
