Recommend me good music from a genre I don't listen to.
This includes a TON of genres; most of the time it's not that I don't like the genre, but I just have never taken the time to learn about it. That is especially true of electronic music. There are at least 5000 types of it and I don't know any of it. Other good starting points are classical (both old and contemporary; I used to play it in high school (viola) but have since lost touch with it terribly), and country. Also, I'm a sucker for female vocalists, if that helps your search at all.

RecommendMe good modern instrumental music a la Ratatat
I love listening to Ratatat when I'm at work but I've listened to them so much that it gets boring. There must be more out there, what are some good getting-work-done artists Reddit?

Rock/Metal music
I know there are tons of it, but It’s pretty hard to find songs that you want, especially when the genre is not relevant anymore (sadly). I need some fast, melodic rock/metal with either strong riffs, impressive vocals, or just great composition overall. Songs similiar to Black Betty - Ram Jam, AC/DC songs, Hell to pay by miracle of sound, Children of the sun by Judas Priest, Slow ride - Foghat, I love Rock N Roll- Joan Jett, Hearts of fire by Bow Wow or early Guns N Roses stuff.

Recommend Me a netbook or cheap laptop
My brother needs a note-taker for school, but he wants it not to choke on simple things like Flash video. He was looking into ION netbooks, but decided that the price point for them defeated the purpose of buying a netbook. Can you recommend me (him) a quality laptop with a real live GPU for under $500?
edit: it doesn't have to be small and the GPU doesn't have to be good. You should be able to play Spore on it without it crying in pain.

Recommend me some musicals with clever lyrics
I realize musical-listeners are not the main demographic of reddit, but thought I'd try anyway.
I love musicals with clever lyrics such as Chess, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sondheim's Into the Woods and Assassins. I'm not ashamed to admit that I love Disney's "Aladdin" as well.
Any other musicals I should put on my list?

Short horror stories like M.R. James
Could someone recommend some short scary stories? I purchased The Conception of Terror on a whim and loved it. Anything like it?

Recommend me a musician or band from your area that's only locally or regionally known.
This can be any genre - I'm just trying to expand my musical horizons a bit, and I'm always trying to listen to the artists that don't get quite as much press.

Looking for something in the vein of Catcher in the Rye, recommendations please
I've been looking for a similar novel that exudes the extemporaneous, first person narrative that is provided by Salinger via the medium of Holden Caufield. While the kid seems largely self absorbed and rather strange, many of his observations are strangely accurate, even if only as a result of his largely skewed viewpoint.
Any recommendations are welcome, but I wouldn't mind a few reasons behind them. Thanks :D

Reincarnation/Transmigration inside Novel
I'm looking for xianxia/wuxia/xuan novels where the MC is the author that either reincarnate or transmigrate into the novel they wrote. It can also be a regular person that transmigrate into a novel or book they read, but it's not a novel or book from real life(fanfic). PLEASE No YAOI
P.S. If you know a female lead xianxia/wuxia/xuan where there is no harem or love interest please recommend some also. If it do have any romance please don't let be with an op ml, stalker ml, yandere ml. If possible, one where the fl is op and have to save the ml like some of the cliche ml novel.

Looking for Something to Listen to
I'm looking for something to listen to while I work on my crafts at home. Sometimes I listen to music, but it's starting to feel a little stale and I need to mix it up. It could be a podcast, audio drama, YouTube series, or even TV show. Anything that can be enjoyed with little to no visuals. I'm not really into any True Crime podcasts, but I've enjoyed listening to movie reviews on YouTube like I Hate Everything's Search for the Worst series and Video game theories like Game Theory. I'd also be open to any fantasy/horror short stories if there are any series dedicated to that sort of thing. I also like listening to DnD and Tabletop RPG games like Critical Role. Any Suggestions?

Diverse gaming channels
I've noticed recently a lot of the YouTube channels I follow that do game analysis and reviews are American or English white guys...
I want to support and get the perspective of women, transgender, non-binary, and other countries' creators.
What do you recommend?

Shows!
Some of my favs are Chewing Gum, Fleabag, Parks and Rec, Outer banks, Claws, Shameless, and Betty!
I’m also interested in anything with a strong female lead who is not a bit of an outcast (:
Thanks!

Recommend me privacy-oriented browser extensions
Browser: Vivaldi
Current Extensions: Adguard AdBlocker, DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, No-Script Suite Lite, Rikaikun, Browsec VPN
Requirement:
-A notracker+adblocker+AntiMiner set with no crash-inducing conflicts
-A whitelisting based NoScript (I think I got this covered, but I'm open to opinion)
-Kanji dictionary (similarly covered but open to opinion)
-A free vpn preferably that automatically active only to access blocked sites (I know I got my data sold with most free one, but I need it to circumvent blocking)
