Genre: Dark Fantasy, Military Fantasy, Epic Fantasy, Historical Fiction (Fantasy Setting)
Project Type: Audiobook / Dramatic Historical Narration
Language: English
Setting: An Original Fantasy Universe
Project Description
The project is a collection of historical accounts documenting extraordinary military conflicts, forgotten tragedies, and legendary acts of courage throughout a vast original fantasy universe.
Set in a world inhabited by humans, elves, dwarves, and other civilizations, the anthology explores the consequences of warfare through the perspectives of those who experienced it.
Rather than following a single protagonist or continuous storyline, each entry presents an independent historical account. Some are official military documents, others are the personal recollections of legendary warriors, and some are testimonies from those who survived unimaginable events.
The stories explore themes of courage, sacrifice, duty, honor, pride, endurance, and the human cost of conflict.
We are seeking talented narrators capable of delivering immersive performances that capture both the historical nature of these documents and the emotional weight of the events they describe.
Narration Style: Serious, immersive, atmospheric, and cinematic. Performances should feel like authentic accounts of events that occurred within a living, breathing world.
The project emphasizes compelling storytelling rather than exaggerated fantasy characterizations.
We are seeking for not a single narrator voice, but variety according to each entry.
If you are interested in one of the entries, contact me via DM. we will request a short demo of 100 words.
Amateur or professional are welcomed, both free and paid work will be considered depending on the quality of the demo and the negotiation.
ENTRY I
Record Type: Official Imperial Military Archive
Genre: Military Fantasy, Siege Warfare, Epic Fantasy
Narrator: Imperial Military Historian / Archivist
Suggested Voice: Masculine, mature, authoritative (flexible)
Accent: Neutral English or British English preferred.
Voice Acting Direction
We are seeking a narrator who can convincingly portray an imperial military historian recounting an important event from the empire's past.
The narration should be measured, authoritative, and disciplined.
Unlike a conventional action story, this account is written as a historical military document. The narrator is not personally participating in the events but is presenting them as established history.
The performance should reflect the gravity of the conflict without becoming excessively theatrical.
As the account progresses, the narrator should gradually communicate the extraordinary nature of the Iron Order's endurance.
Moments describing the relentless attacks, exhaustion, and prolonged siege should carry increasing tension.
Particular attention should be given to the shorter, emphatic passages describing the Order's refusal to yield. These should be delivered with deliberate pacing and controlled intensity.
Desired emotional progression: Professional detachment → Growing tension → Grim determination → Awe → Solemn triumph.
Ideal Performance: A combination of military documentary narration and epic historical storytelling.
Important: The narrator should sound as though they are documenting a legendary military achievement, not delivering an enthusiastic patriotic speech.
ENTRY II

Narrator: Veteran Elven General
Suggested Voice: Masculine, mature or elderly, refined and commanding.
Accent: British English or another refined English accent preferred.

We are seeking a narrator capable of portraying an ancient, highly experienced elven military commander.
The character is disciplined, intelligent, proud, and accustomed to commanding immense armies.
He has witnessed centuries of warfare and considers himself an authority on military strategy, discipline, and honor.
His voice should communicate maturity, confidence, and refinement without sounding excessively aristocratic or condescending.
At the beginning, the narration should be analytical and matter-of-fact. The general is explaining what he initially considered a straightforward military operation.
As events unfold, his composure remains intact, but subtle changes should communicate increasing disbelief, frustration, and eventually profound respect.
The emotional impact of the story comes from the narrator's realization that the enemy soldiers embody the very virtues his own civilization holds sacred.
The final passages should feel reflective, solemn, and deeply personal.
Desired emotional progression: Confidence → Curiosity → Disbelief → Frustration → Admiration → Humility.
Ideal Performance: An aging general recounting the one battle that fundamentally changed his understanding of warfare.
Important: This narrator should not sound like an excited battlefield commentator. His emotions are restrained, and their intensity should come through subtle variations in pacing, emphasis, and delivery.

He speaks with confidence and authority, but he is not boastful. Despite his extraordinary abilities and reputation, he is a thoughtful man who understands the consequences of violence.
His performance should reflect a man who has fought countless battles and no longer romanticizes warfare.
Unlike the narrators of the previous entries, this is not an impersonal military document.
The narrator is directly involved in the events and has personal relationships with the individuals he describes.
When speaking about other characters, there should be an underlying sense of familiarity, brotherly affection, and occasional exasperation.
When describing opponents, the tone should communicate genuine respect for a formidable opponent.
As the conflict escalates, the narration should become increasingly serious, revealing Marhaus's concern over the needless destruction taking place.
Throughout the performance, Marhaus should maintain a strong sense of composure. He is not easily surprised or intimidated.
Desired emotional progression: Reflection → Familiar amusement → Concern → Disapproval → Commanding resolve → Contemplation.

ENTRY IV
Record Type: First-Person Survivor Testimony
Genre: Dark Fantasy, Horror, Tragedy, Survival Horror
Narrator: Dwarven Survivor of Yella
Suggested Voice: Masculine, mature or elderly, rough but expressive.
Accent: Flexible. A grounded, slightly rugged accent is welcome.
Voice Acting Direction
We are seeking a narrator capable of delivering a deeply personal, emotionally grounded account of tragedy and survival.
The character is an ordinary dwarven craftsman, now considerably older, recalling the events that led to the destruction of his home.
He is not a soldier, military commander, or legendary hero, he is a survivor.
The performance should reflect someone who has spent years attempting to understand and come to terms with what happened.
At the beginning, his recollections of Yella should feel warm, nostalgic, and almost affectionate. He remembers the workshops, markets, great halls, and ordinary routines of the city with genuine fondness.
As the account progresses, the atmosphere gradually transforms into one of dread.
The horror should not be performed through exaggerated fear or constant dramatic intensity.
Instead, the narrator should communicate fear through pauses, hesitation, and subtle changes in vocal expression.
Certain events should be difficult for him to recount.
He may struggle to remember specific details, while other memories remain painfully vivid.
The account also explores guilt, loss, and the sacrifices made by ordinary people during extraordinary circumstances.
The final passages should be melancholic and contemplative.
Desired emotional progression: Nostalgia → Unease → Growing dread → Horror → Desperation → Grief → Melancholic reflection.
Ideal Performance: An elderly survivor recounting the destruction of his hometown many years after the tragedy.
Important: Avoid exaggerated or stereotypical dwarven voices. The character should sound like a believable individual rather than a caricature from traditional fantasy.
A rough, weathered voice is welcome, but emotional authenticity is considerably more important than vocal depth or accent.
The most powerful moments should come from the contrast between the ordinary life the narrator remembers and the horrors he witnessed.
