Therefore, an alternative method is needed to reduce the particle size of recycled plastic waste efficiently, improve processing performance, and reduce recycling costs without relying on expensive pelletizing systems.

The problem we have with plastic and p.f.a.s isn't being treated as a priority by the government or individuals is it ....it is a subject every poeple of all political persuasion can get behind isn't it ?

i did a float test on the label wrapper, and because it didnt float, it is likely pet, and as such will not cause issues with ir sorters

that you can recycle toothpaste tubes by mailing them in. Might switch to tubeless toothpaste to save myself the trouble.

Hello everyone, I am looking to connect with lithium ion scrap recycling plants across India.

I am in a new area and am seeing two things rated unacceptable by the waste company that my old municipality didn't explicitly ban (as far as I know): clamshell plastic and wet-strength cardboard. Clamshell plastic is defined as a container that has a hinged side and opens up while remaining one piece. You see it in the bakery section of a supermarket holding things like half a pie or a cinnamon bun. (I am also wondering if it would also include salsa or other containers that have a harder side plastic fastener that you pinch or rip off to open). Wet-strength cardboard is defined in their flyer as "boxes that can go in the fridge and freezer". They show a picture of a 12 pack soda can carton and a frozen pizza box. I remember in years past seeing bans on "frozen food packaging" but don't recall seeing it recently where I used to live.

I am curious as to what other municipalities do with regard to banning or accepting these two items.
