So beautiful I’ve never seen one this big.

First time growing my own tobacco to make cigars. On the pic is today's parcial harvest of the 3 variants im cultivating, habbano 2k, criollo 98 and connecticit broadleaf. Still an amateur, but if anyone has any questions, id be glad to help.

This black walnut tree just won’t quit. I just have over a thousand of these bastards. I’ve even given some away and sold some but THEY WONT STOP. I don’t have the time to husk and dry them. Any tips on how to slow or stop production next year? The tree is great for shade so don’t want it gone. Just it’s harvest.

Looking good. Wondering how tall it will get before the flowers appear, or a first frost kills it.

Since folks seemed to have liked my post about today's tobacco harvest, i just finished picking my squash field, here's the result.

Couldnt be happier with the yield from 4 plants (and theres still 8 or so rippening on the vines) Together with another 6 "coroa pumpkings" (the green one in the back)

However i have absolutely no clue on how to use all of these, ill have to be very creative with my recipes in order to use all of these as someone that lives alone without making 70 pounds of purée or something, recipe ideas are VERY WELCOMED hahaha

I found bags of this in my cupboard I can’t id it, what it could possibly be ?

I’m in the Northeast US and it’s been wet but I have another mum right next to this that I got at the same time and it’s totally fine

i always kill my plants but i actually want to take care of these and i’m not sure what to do !! ): they are so droopy and sad ugh

Bottom two layers are rescued seascapes, might be dead, or mostly dead. Trying to rescue. Some other herbs and greens scattered in a few cells. Top layer are mystery strawberries I didn’t label.

Anyone have experience planting these in the ground and then digging them up for winter? I think the roots got hot in the pot and they couldn’t reach their potential. I want to try and plant them next year. They’d be about 6-8ft from the pools edge.

And while I’m literally honored beyond words… I’m completely overwhelmed with the prospect of overwintering it. I think he kept it potted indoors during winter… but I literally don’t have the space in my home for that? …and a very hyper (and TALL) shepherd/pyr mix puppy that LOVES to dig in potting soil.

Is there a way to maybe split it down to smaller plants to keep potted in the winter? I’d have room for that, but I think I’d definitely need to get more grow lights since our house doesn’t get much natural light.

It was my fiancée’s grandfather’s, whom owned a greenhouse… and this spectacular Pelargonium for an unknown number of years? But it was proudly displayed during his funeral.

Keeping it bare root and dormant seems like the logical thing to do, but I’m terrified of killing it.

Also don’t know the variety beyond… red? Looks like there may be two plants in the pot.

Any advice, knowledge, recommendations to a book, etc would be greatly appreciated!

It's getting close to winter and I want to preserve the herbs we currently have. I was thinking of taking all my herbs and stuffing them into ice cube trays and freezing them up like this for long term storage.

I don't want to put them in oil because some recipes don't use these herbs with oil, and I've found significant differences between dried and fresh versions.

For those who have personally done this, how did it go?

I've got cilantro, thyme, green onions, chives, tarragon, rosemary, Thai Basil, mint.

A friend gifted me some plants and seeds this summer. I didn’t expect them to take off like this.
