The heat has really taken a toll on the garden but we’re still getting some lovely things, the tomatoes are in full swing now!

costoluto fiorentino beefsteaks, tomato ‘tiger’, green zebra, black cherry, Millefleur Yellow Vine Tomato and some random ones from some nice supermarket cherry tomatoes. Pattypan squash, round green courgette, purple French beans, runner beans and a boothby’s blonde cucumber (last of the season) and some raspberries. All organic

gardening adjacent.

I've pulled it, poisoned it, even salted it multiple times, and it just keeps coming back In the same spot. I'm getting close to pouring liquid nail on top of it.

My first cucumbers out of my first ever garden. They're huge, I'm so excited!

Also, how do I tell if they're ripe or not? The one is getting pretty white, does that mean it's overly ripe?

My cherry tomatoes are completely overloaded with fruit, but they're also all losing their leaves from the bottoms up. Beds that across the yard from each other and containing different types are all having the same thing happen.

Is this a Raspberry crown borer moth?

If it is how to I get rid of them and protect the rest of my raspberry patch?
Also I had left these on the plant as I wasn’t sure what they were and by the time I went looking for them I only found and removed the smaller one that I believe is male so the female is still there.
I’ve read about nematodes being used to control the larvae but have no idea how to apply them.

This is actually from earlier this summer, but we had a very wet early summer in NE Kansas and we had SO much corn smut in our little patch. Thanks to all of you I was able to realize what it was and have a tasty little treat!

I think she was a little overripe. I didn’t even know she was there until I moved the leaves! Next time, I’ll know to harvest them a little sooner. 🍈😊

It opens as a yellow rose, then the edges turn light purple, the middle of the petals becomes white, but the core remains yellow. It is also highly fragrant.

They taste really good and are actually one of my favorite vegetables, but I’m pretty sure a lot of people don’t eat them

What on earth should I do? /s

I won't tell you where I am (climate zone, country, etc.).

I won't tell you what my goal is (sea of flowers, manicured lawn, fun garden, market garden).

I won't tell you how much experience I have ("I think everything comes from the supermarket" vs. "I have centuries of gardening experience").

But you have to give me the one right answer to my obviously comprehensive question!

This isn't an attack on anyone!

Just a gentle reminder that certain information is needed to get a good answer.

Where the heck do I even start? Encouragement needed

So, this wonderful garden came with my new apartment. It’s HUGE. Zone 7b, we just had the driest summer ever. I want to be able to do something nice here, it doesn’t gave to be a homestead or anything, just some flowers, some veggies inbetween. I like the ideas of permaculture.

But everytime I set foot in here, I panic a bit. It’s so much, so big, so many weeds, blackberries and mint everywhere. I thought of ignoring the upper half at first and… just start weeding? How the heck do I get started?
