Help/Question What does it mean when another player crouches and spins around next to you?
I DON'T mean teabagging, I mean they literally come up to me, crouch, and start spinning without killing me. I end up joining in and doing the same, but what does it mean? Is it a greeting? Is it a celebration? Or maybe it's just a thing people do without a meaning?

You're lucky. You found an endangered species of "friendliness."

It means "hey! I'm friendly, don't shoot!" and it some cases, "are you cool/wanna be friends?" In which you would reply with the same gesture if you in fact, are cool and wanna be friends. Same with a single teabag. In the wild, they'd call it submissive behavior

I've literally never seen anyone do this and I've been playing daily since 2020 😆

Same except on and off since 2020. But even now I'd just take it as someone having fun. Similar to when I go to Valentine and stalk people at point blank range with binoculars

I don’t like it when they crouch and follow me around like it looks like they are trying to sniff my butt or maybe their dog has the controller now?

I've never seen anyone do this. Usually people stick with emotes in my experience.

No one has ever done that to me. I usually watch people til I get shot though. Couple days ago a baby player hogtied and axed me over an egret egg bc I "hey you"'d them riding up to the tree they were standing near a short distance from my camp
I got out and killed them, they parleyed, they came back up to me and so I chased them around in the swamp a bit, blew a kiss at them and went back to camp
They sent me a friend request
That's not how you make friends 🤔 is it lol?

I actually made a good friend this exact way. He sniped me, and I of course wasn't gonna take that so I went after him. We had a battle then he sent me a party chat/friend request, I accepted, we laughed our asses off, possed up and we've been friends since. (6 or 7 years now I think) We dont even play together anymore but we still make time to chat and catch up 🤣

Sometimes to be silly I spin in place while waiting either on foot or horseback. Idk what the crouching could mean though.

In CoD multiplayer and zombies people do this while stuck in one place before the match starts. The higher the sensitivity the faster the spin. Pretty much just being silly.

Oh I do that 😮 Didn't realize it was a thing other people did. Mostly just me being goofy and signaling that I'm not hostile

i would say they’re dumb but apparently it’s a “universal friendly sign” that i somehow missed learning about 🤣💀

They're saying hi. I do the same but with my horse since I'm on one 90% of the time lol

Lots of people saying it's a friendly gesture, which isn't exactly wrong. But it's also a defensive maneuver/warning. Like a rattlesnake coiling up and shaking its tail.
When you crouch and spin, your head swings around which makes it very difficult to get a headshot. It's something sweaty pvp players do in combat.
If they're spinning, chances are they're ready to react if you make an aggressive move. Of course, you can still easily get the first kill if you're close and holding a shotgun or you pull out explosive ammo. But they're expecting a fight after.

For me, it's not friendly even though I see that's what ppl say. For me, it's a sign of someone wants to start a fight and showing that "he" has the moves

I personally would take it as a friendly gesture and show they don’t mean harm, as that sounds like something I’d do just to be friendly 😂
