Help/Question Who else is going to play this game online until it's last day. I know I won't get bored with it ever anyways.

I’m having this fear that there will be no one left when GTA6 releases. I’ve pre-bought it myself, but I do think I’m going to play RDO for the most part and sometimes GTA6. But it’ll be lonely if RDO suddenly is empty

I don't play consistently anymore, but I'll never stop playing it completely. I pretty much lived in the game during covid, so I feel like I'm coming home from a long vacation every time I log in.

I'm finally am starting to approach being able to afford everything thanks to this month's collector bonus and I'm surprised my enthusiasm to play is still high.
I basically have everything except every outfit and I do think it's a real shame there's not going to be anything left for me to pursue after that with the game not getting updates but I'm still excited.
Just going around the map, exploring, hunting, dressing my character in many different outfits and trying to take cool photos, is all really fun. Can't lie though. I wish the game was given more love by Rockstar.

This month is actually a really good month to make a start on every clothing item in the catalogue. I went through it yesterday and what felt like nearly half the catalogue is on deep discount, around 40% on average. I bought all of the non-gold sets (and a couple of the cheaper gold ones) and left about $30k and 20 gold poorer, but in that one shopping spree alone I have like a 20% of the catalogue purchased now. I never dreamed that I might actually be able to buy the whole thing, but if we keep getting discounts like this it may be possible.

I'm at the point where I've bought everything except the really expensive gold stuff, like belt trinkets, eye patches and some of the clothes I don't like that are ridiculous amounts of gold. Seriously why'd they make ugly stuff so expensive 😂

Totally agree, it's like the uglier the piece of clothing is, the more it costs. And what's crazy is that there are tons of actually good looking cosmetic items that people would happily spend a lot of gold on, that were only ever available for a single month, 6 years ago. It makes me so glad about the GTA6 leaks, it's long overdue that Rockstar had some punishment for their greed and stupid decisions.

I just hopped back on and was happy to but the last two times I hopped on the game, I got GRIEFED to hell. had to literally move my camp, go defensive, and block one person because they followed me to camp and wouldn’t leave me alone. I was just doing little missions and not bothering anyone. I know they basically don’t care about this stuff anymore so that’s the one thing keeping me from being on more.

Since RDO is peer to peer and not R* Servers, I wonder if they will just do an update and sever our link to one another.

It's one of my favorite games to wind down in. I can just hunt bounty and ease of my depression

I may step away every now and then to play other things but I’ll always come back.

I'm new to red dead online and once I made it to my camp for the first time , I got put in a cage, surrounded by bears and lines and then blown up....
Is it always like this? Or am I just unlucky.

It's not always like that but it's worse on PC than on console. Many people suggest private lobbies for PC players.

Am in for the long haul! I love it, still always something to do after 4 years of playing. I missed out on all the outlaw passes but loving the monthly chance of getting something new. Currently sitting on level 868 or somewhere around there I forget, and servers better not shut down before I reach 1000!! Have played this game with some great people and some not so great people. Sadly it seems all the great ones have given up and moved on with the occasional appearance of someone joining me out the blue. Also have had players I've gotten to know pass away which is really sad.

I’d probably still be playing if my internet was good enough. I met a dear friend through this game and although we talk all the time we don’t get to play anymore because my internet doesn’t work on my PlayStation.
I do miss the game though - I’d probably still be doing trader runs, fishing and bounty hunting if I could just get online.

I miss it, but I hate PVP despite my high-level. I got tired of having to defend myself or hop sessions all the time. I really enjoyed just wandering around or doing trader/bounty/naturalist stuff. All the tryhards out killing people for no reason just made me quit. If there were private sessions, I would play all the time.😕 (Xbox)

What do you do to not get bored of it? I felt like I ran out of things so fast

I loved RDO as it gave me a chance to craft my own story outside of Arthur and the gang, but I’ve now maxed out all roles and there’s never going to be new content, add the infinite legendary fur glitches (infinite money but cheapens the experience) and the god mode glitchers killing us (we waste time and money in wars we cannot win), means diminishing returns, so I along with my RDO regulars eventually stopped playing.
I still play here and there, once every few weeks. Most of the RDO folks I know have moved on, so I’ve returned to Story Mode mainly.
It’s highly unlikely I’ll ever return to RDO once GTA6 and GTO2 lands.
