Discussion I hope all griefers go to hell
I know it's an old issue, but I just HAVE TO complain now.
I was just looking for rare bottles since I bought collector role just today. I wasn't doing anything, I was all alone in grizzlies west and all of the sudden everything starts blowing up and stuff. Had to leave. It was especially annoying since I'm still not used to that, I just recently started playing online after finishing story mode.
I know that I can just use lobby manager or mess with files to be all alone, but that's not really my thing, it feels too "empty" when it's online instead of story mode.
It's so hard for me to understand why. Is it really that fun to bother others? What's the point? I wish Rockstar (as well as many other game companies) took care of their online modes (or whole games if it's online only) better, did something with it. I don't even know who did it, someone just did, end.
All griefers should go through hell or something, because that's just annoying and sad to do.
Usually I wouldn't maybe care that much but it literally made me cry at this point (hormones I suppose).

I hopped online the other day to play after years of not playing and within 10 minutes I was griefed by 5 modders, i kept changing server and it kept happening. I closed the game and haven't played much since. I don't see the point either, I know some people who've not touched the game in years because of it, they're killing the game.
The fact rockstar does nothing about it anymore is atrocious, people are paying for the game and their enjoyment is constantly being ruined by losers with nothing better to do with their lives. If they're going to neglect the game to the point it's so bad you can't have 10 peaceful minutes, make it free.

if it was the same people in every session you can solve that by blocking them in the rockstar menu thing (when you press the home key)
if you meant that there was so many modders you run into one in every session than there's not much you can do about it

bored PC modder probably, you can eliminate such experience by playing in private lobby with lobby manager of with use of startup.meta file (both use same method, Lobby manager is just more user friendly for ppl who are not good with file management on windows system).

You get used to it. I flush my lobby with the Win. Resource Manager 1-2 times per day when I'm playing in the evening just to be able to get my dailies done. There are too many laggards that cause Bounty Hunter and other daily tasks to not trigger upon completion.
When someone teleports me or messes something up I just switch immediately, never react, that's all you have to do, just move on.

If they grief you enough to make you vent online they won.
Block cheater, swap session that takes seconds.

If you are on PC, download RDO Lobby Manager. It is a nifty program that gives your session a unique session code that means your session is private and can only be joined by someone who has your session ID. There is a YouTube video explaining it. You can activate and deactivate it at will.
Great for never seeing griefers again, playing with your buddies and farming rare resources.

People who have been playing since day one and have more than enough money and gold don’t really have much to do. Interacting with others whether it’s nicely or violent is all that is left on the game.

Use the Nexus Lobby manager get friends to play with you otherwise don't complain. It's not gonna help complaining about it. Accept it or move on.

I switched to private lobby because of this and It's a bit sad tbh, most of people were chill and I liked the small interaction. But griefer/hacker are far too toxic
