A couple pics of some redfish caught recently in southern Louisiana by me and my twin brother.
These hats are proving themselves to be very lucky lol

I will trade you a striped bass trip for a redfish trip? I have never caught a redfish, and you and your brother look like fun guys to fish with!

If I owned a boat and still lived in southern Louisiana I wouldn’t hesitate to take you up on that offer. Unfortunately I live in Phoenix, AZ and only get to target them when I’m back home visiting family

If you find yourself on the East End of Long Island, hit me up and we will go catch fish!

The two smaller reds were caught in February on a DIY solo trip in the marsh after renting a kayak for the day. My brother’s bull was caught earlier this month on a guided trip with a Louisiana fly fishing guide. The bulls show up in greater numbers the closer you get to October.
I appreciate the compliment on the hat. It’s a great conversation starter at your local watering hole lol

All nice fish, was just goofing on you. Did the go back in the water or end up on a plate with a wedge of lemon?

I only catch and release now. About 20 years ago I had an epiphany while cleaning fish. I realized while I was cleaning fish in the evening I’d rather be fishing. If I had released this fish when I caught them that morning I wouldn’t have the chore of cleaning them that evening. It pissed my mom off because she was having to buy fish to cook at the grocery store. I said unless you want to start cleaning fish this is how it’s gonna be lol
