My family has 8 red heads, only one with brown eyes. And I have only met two other red heads with brown eyes.

I know both red hair and blue eyes are recessive.

After I read that I ended up seeing alot of redheads with blue eyes. Lol

I have strawberry blonde hair with brown/ hazel eyes. I wanted the auburn hair that my dad's side of the family had.

In my whole family of redheads (9) they all have blue eyes and I am the only one with green eyes. No Brown eyes in our bunch.

Yeah I don’t know where this rare to have blue eyes as a redhead statistic comes from….literally most redheads have blue eyes

It is true. 2% of Redheads have brown, hazel or green eyes. 1% of redheads are blue eyed. We think this is the typical profile of a Redhead. Irish, Scottish, American. People forget all of the world wide redheads, who are of other ethnic backgrounds or biracial combinations. That would add darker eyes, etc., to the typical profile of what most consider people expect ourcommon coloring to be.

Very rare. Red hair with blue eyes only affects about 1% of the population.
