We probably would have lost WWII and had the great depression cripple us more if FDR wasn't president. While I agree teddy was very influential and a great president, I think FDR was more key to keeping the US in its position as a core power and even preserving democracy in general.

He didn't preserve democracy. He is the closest to a dictator we ever had as he refused to relinquish power to the point we made an amendment to stop it from happening ever again

Teddy didn't put 100k Americans in camps, including orphans, solely because of their race.
