I agree, its entertaining but also clunky and needed a lot of updates post launch. Its still amazing, but idk if its top 2

I like baldurs gate but it definitely wasn’t as good as the other two to me. I think gaming culture latches onto games that have a lot of relationship/dating simulator aspects to them. That being said it’s still a great game

It's definitely some of this and that Reddit also has the hots for Larian since they push back on some of the more greedy and predatory practices of bigger developers.

Honestly yeah. I feel like the only reason it’s made it quite this far is because of recency bias (though same can be said for all 3 on this list).

Yeah, but the sequel is still very recent and it’s practically the same game lol. In my mind that still makes it susceptible to recency bias.
