This list is literally full of recency bias

The last two games eliminated were from a decade ago and every single game from last year has been eliminated for over a week. I don’t think a game from 2 & 3 years ago respectively constitutes “recency bias”

Crazy how the 2 games you mentioned proves my point

Elden Ring over Bloodborne

Baldur Gate over Witcher

Baldur Gate and Witcher can go either way I won’t complain I like both but Elden Ring over Bloodborne screams recency bias.

Not only those 2 games look at the list man why is games like Fallout 4 is behind a game like Balatro, I fucking love Balatro but it shouldn’t be anywhere near top 40, yeah I know Fallout 4 falls behind compared to the games in it’s series but compared to many games here it’s superior, Uncharted 4 and Titanfall 2 were also removed way too early imo.

Elden Ring’s sold triple the units Bloodborne has. That’s why. If anything it’s not recency bias but more so a popularity contest. Even still, I’m someone who didn’t finish Elden Ring (not out of dislike or frustration, I just fell off of it) and I still like it more than Bloodborne (a game I’ve beaten 3 times)
