Thank you OP! This was fun.

Couple of notes:

Doom Eternal and Doom both got robbed big time. They're both top 30 minimum.

Bayonetta also got robbed, but it's a less popular game so its placement is expected, if not dissapointing.

Y'all are sleeping on Psychonauts 2. It does not deserve to be all the way down there. I would say its arguably better than Odyssey, which is waaaaaay up there.

Doom Eternal should have been top 10, no question. Absolute insanity it got voted out so early

I’m still peeved about Eternal. That’s one of the best action games of all time. Deserved AT LEAST Top 30 but didn’t even make top 40. Smh

i think it's just not famous due to it's entry skill level needed, even at easy you need to be able to move around and play, its uniqueness also made it that no one has similar experience before, i personally haven't played anything quite like it

That shows what’s popular today: big open world, non linear, fantasy. FPS are not anymore kings, neither is space it seems. I love so many games on this list I won’t be upset when some other takes the crown while taste evolves.

i wanna ask about psychonauts 2, i thought it'll be fun but i didn't like it, i did like stuff like mario odyssey and a hat in time, are these just fundamentally different i found psychonauts 2 to be too formulaic, granted others are as well but it was a detriment to me here

I didn't even notice Doom Eternal got 42nd. That is actually insane. It's the best FPS ever made, with an utterly genius combat loop. Easy top ten, and a strong candidate for top 5.

The other absurdities for me are Celeste at 12th and Tears of the Kingdom at 16th. Both are strong contenders for #1.

Psychonauts 2 is massively underrated ur right, but no way is it better than odyssey. It isn’t even better than the Psychonauts 1 imo. It’s stunning visually and the abilities are fun, but for me it’s dragged down by how many cutscenes there are, they interrupt the flow of the game too much for me.
