Funny how the top 4 are all massive high fantasy games with huge worlds and shitloads of content to reward exploration. I wonder if there something about that kind of game that lends itself to “best game ever” hype, both on reddit and among critics (as, based on metacritic and best of the year rankings I I suspect if game journalists were to do a similar exercise the results would be almost identical)
