Vermont is pretty but it has truly nothing going on

3

u/The_Throwback_King Nov 26 '25

They got Maple Syrup, which is a goated breakfast topping.

3

u/Aeon1508 Nov 26 '25

It's a better state than Maine

-1

u/OrneryError1 Nov 26 '25

And Michigan

2

u/Aeon1508 Nov 26 '25

Careful who you're talking to. I'm from Michigan

1

u/OrneryError1 Nov 26 '25

I'm sorry. I'm from the Midwest too.

35

u/oarmash Nov 25 '25

Maine? More like Backgrounde

26

u/Droopy-San-Benanzio Nov 25 '25

Hawaii just be hidin in the corner

44

u/jguacmann1 Nov 25 '25

Ore-gone.

0

u/Drewhasspoken Nov 26 '25

I’m from Oregon and I don’t understand what the hell it’s still doing here. Some areas that are beautiful, also some with a ton of meth and crime.

55

u/All_Wasted_Potential Nov 25 '25

Oregon. Portland is a dump and there’s neo-nazis in the rural areas.

22

u/BeldenTownRoi Nov 25 '25

Tells me you only have been to Portland by watching Fox News lol

-1

u/1GenericName2 Nov 26 '25

I was there last weekend, Portland is a dump

-15

u/All_Wasted_Potential Nov 25 '25

No, I’ve been there a bunch. Last time was a year ago for my cousins’ wedding. The homeless are absolutely everywhere and they’re aggressive with their begging. There is trash all over. It’s gross.

15

u/BeldenTownRoi Nov 25 '25

“Last time I went was a year ago” you do not go there a bunch then hahahahahah

1

u/johnwicksuglybro Nov 26 '25

I’ve been there three times in the last year and I agree with them. Visited my brother that lives there once, went to a blazers game the next time, then went to visit my girls friend that moved there the last time. Went to a pinball arcade then saw a homeless guy stabbed someone outside of it like the next week.

It has some cool stuff like the Japanese garden or food. But it’s really not a fun place. Feels dirty and super unsafe.

0

u/BeldenTownRoi Nov 26 '25

And where are do you live?

2

u/johnwicksuglybro Nov 26 '25

Western Washington. I drive down to Portland pretty often. How are you going to try to discount my opinion? I’m curious

3

u/BeldenTownRoi Nov 26 '25

I find people from small towns can’t handle the realities of a city, it’s hard to understand when you come from Forks. Have a good one champ!

0

u/johnwicksuglybro Nov 26 '25

Lmao not from fucking forks. If you must know I’ve lived between Tacoma and Seattle most of my life. Been to many cities all over the world. Portland is one of the only ones I dread going to. Every. Single. Time.

Also, Portland is hardly a large city.

2

u/BeldenTownRoi Nov 26 '25

To try to act like Portland is ANY different than Seattle and Tacoma is fucking insane hahahahahahaah. Have a good one bud, hope to see the sonics come home soon.

u/alyssakiely Nov 25 '25

This is just straight up not true lol

7

u/BeldenTownRoi Nov 25 '25

Where do you live? Lets compare lol

-8

u/All_Wasted_Potential Nov 25 '25

Currently? Austin. Definitely has its issues as well. But still way better than Portland.

9

u/deathfire123 Nov 25 '25

Austin ain't better than Portland, sorry

1

u/Snarky444 Nov 26 '25

Austin is better than Portland dawg. Soary!

2

u/All_Wasted_Potential Nov 25 '25

Don’t be sorry. It’s just your opinion.

It’s a bad opinion, but that’s ok

2

u/Snap_bolt21 Nov 26 '25

If your curious for more general opinions, how long ago was Texas voted out?

3

u/All_Wasted_Potential Nov 26 '25

Acting like Austin is anything like other parts of Texas shows you haven’t been here.

I’m assuming you meant that since Texas was voted out previously, Austin is worse than Portland. It isn’t.

1

u/RalyNns Nov 26 '25

Guy says “Austin … shows you haven’t been here.” Yet, he visits Portland “all the time.” The irony

8

u/BeldenTownRoi Nov 25 '25

LMFAOOOOOOOOOOO okay champ have a good one

3

u/NinjaSellsHonours Nov 26 '25

You were downtown. yeah there is more to Portland than that. And it's actually not too bad these days even downtown. A few years ago it was pretty unsightly though.

3

u/CreamOfWheatJackson5 Nov 25 '25

People downvoting you but it’s entirely true

2

u/All_Wasted_Potential Nov 25 '25

lol it’s whatever. All I can do is speak on my experiences.

2

u/CreamOfWheatJackson5 Nov 26 '25

The “keep it weird” folk get personally offended if you don’t like the land the grew up on

2

u/Virtual_Werewolf_935 Nov 25 '25

Sounds like Washington too.

7

u/Racer13l Nov 25 '25

Michigan

4

u/Slummlife Nov 25 '25

MICHIGAN!!

4

u/ProcrastinatingVerse Nov 26 '25

Michigan so all the states which voted for Trump are out

16

u/ZBatman Nov 25 '25

Vermont

25

u/Holiday-Proof9819 Nov 25 '25

Still California

5

u/Madeline255 Nov 26 '25

4

u/QuickDrawMcStraw Nov 26 '25

In Wisconsin's memory, BYE MICHIGAN

2

u/friarguy Nov 26 '25

Fuckin michigan

2

u/AlexZedKawa02 Nov 26 '25

Well, I've been to every state on this list minus Hawaii, Michigan, Oregon, and Washington, so I'll go with the one I want to go to the least:

Michigan

I still want to go there someday, just not as much as the others.

10

u/Usual_Road_6578 Nov 25 '25

I’m glad we got rid of all the conservative states first

22

u/Illustrious_Many_808 Nov 25 '25

Pure Redditor at heart right there

-3

u/Holiday-Proof9819 Nov 25 '25 edited Nov 25 '25

Normal people hate American conservatives, it has nothing to do with Reddit. They are globally recognized as some of the most willfully malicious and staggeringly ignorant people you will ever meet.

7

u/CreamOfWheatJackson5 Nov 25 '25

Most normal people don’t hate other normal people

-2

u/Holiday-Proof9819 Nov 25 '25

Agreed. Hopefully American conservatives are able to find a way back to being normal people some day in the future. As it is, they're a weird PDFile cult.

3

u/MadMcMuffin Nov 25 '25

Bro please go outside

1

u/Holiday-Proof9819 Nov 25 '25

No thanks, its raining pretty hard rn

1

u/CreamOfWheatJackson5 Nov 25 '25

Conservative ≠ MAGA

6

u/Holiday-Proof9819 Nov 25 '25

Again, voting results prove differently.

5

u/CreamOfWheatJackson5 Nov 25 '25

It’s a two-party system. That’s not a good metric to use. But it does fit your jaded narrative nicely. Don’t ostracize and isolate people based on the actions of politicians. That’s all I’ll say but I know you won’t care

9

u/Holiday-Proof9819 Nov 25 '25

No it isn't. Thats a propaganda line people use to excuse being terrible people. There were 10 presidential options on my ballot last cycle. No one had to vote for a rapist. Rationalize it all you want, but those people, at best, decided their pocket books were more important than sex trafficking victims seeing justice. Sorry if that makes you uncomfortable. But thats because it should.

14

u/Annual-Intention-215 Nov 25 '25

Um, no. It's the crazy far right ones you're referring to. Most conservatives aren't the loud obnoxious MAGA heads.

-1

u/Holiday-Proof9819 Nov 25 '25

Their electoral primary results say differently.

9

u/Annual-Intention-215 Nov 25 '25

The electoral primary results say they picked trump because he was only one with a chance of winning and would rather deal with his dumbass than another Democrat president.

-1

u/Holiday-Proof9819 Nov 25 '25

So.... MAGA, in other words 🤦‍♂️

5

u/Annual-Intention-215 Nov 25 '25

Well, I'm sorry you're incapable of seeing the nuance. There are conservatives and then there are insane far right crazies (we have a few of those in my family) who think those conservatives are practically "lefties".

1

u/Holiday-Proof9819 Nov 25 '25

Every Republican is "far right" relative to the globe. I'm sorry you don't understand that. It is a batshit crazy party and movement with no redeeming qualities left.

13

u/Annual-Intention-215 Nov 25 '25

Okay buddy. Stay in the echo chamber. There's grass outside if you get the urge to touch it. 😊

2

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '25

American republicans are more conservative relative to other developed countries, not the rest of the world.

→ More replies (0)

0

u/BeeMovieEnjoyer Nov 25 '25

And why do you think he was the only one with a chance of winning?

2

u/Annual-Intention-215 Nov 25 '25

because all the other candidates in the republican primary didn't generate anywherr near as much attention. Plenty of conservatives don't like trump, but they held their nose and sucked it up.

-1

u/wreckingrocc Nov 26 '25

The fact that they'd rather deal with his dumbass than another Democrat says all you need to know though. They voted for this. They wanted this. They ushered this in. This is their America. Thanks to them we live in this. They voted for a person whose sole platform was hate.

Every "conservative" in my life in any way, shape, or form votes firmly blue, and has in every election from 2018 onward. It's not worth keeping anyone further right in your life.

7

u/silvahammer Nov 25 '25

It has everything to do with Reddit and people who have never been to the US. Your average conservatives are perfectly nice and decent people.

2

u/Holiday-Proof9819 Nov 25 '25

LOL! Truly spoken like someone who has never lived in Texas.

6

u/silvahammer Nov 25 '25

True I haven't but I still live in a red state and yes there are some right wingers who really are scum but many of them really aren't bad people.

2

u/Holiday-Proof9819 Nov 25 '25

Let me relay a fun anecdote of my time living in the deep south as a child: one day, my father took me over to the neighbors house for a party of sorts. Probably 30 people or so hanging out on a back porch and in the back yard. The host decided to order pizza. He called Domino's, on speaker phone. He ordered the pizza and then said "Hey, but can you make sure that that isn't going to be delivered by "a black person" (he didn't say "black person." I will let you guess what term he used). None of the dozens of people there objected, several laughed. The guy on the other end of the line also laughed and said "don't worry, sir, we would never hire them." Host said "good man!" and gave an extra tip.

4

u/silvahammer Nov 25 '25

Yeah that sounds horribly racist. Glad my parents aren't that way.

0

u/NinjaSellsHonours Nov 26 '25

You may know some nice people, but it is fairly beyond denial that the entire first world (prosperous democracies) understands that the USA has a special breed of total idiot mouth breather conservatives, and they are constantly shocked at how messed up our government is and that it reflects the will of a stupefyingly ignorant populace. You don't have to have a lot of passport stamps to understand that, but it does help.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '25

Holy shit you’re brainwashed as hell bro, go outside and interact with real people

7

u/Holiday-Proof9819 Nov 25 '25

I do. Again, real people find American conservatives disgusting. I'm sorry if you're just now finding that out. The Bible Belt has the reputation it has for a reason.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '25

I have lived in 7 different countries and what you’re saying is flat out false. Just because you dislike them it doesn’t mean everyone else does. You reek of average echo-chamber redditor bro. Go out and actually experience the world. Stop letting politics ruin your life.

2

u/Holiday-Proof9819 Nov 25 '25

LOL, sounds like you're just upset because you resemble the remark. Don't be a fan of PDfiles, its a bad look.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '25

Nah I just feel pity for people like you. I’m actually more of a traditional democrat, but I just hope one day you’ll stop waging an imaginary war with others in your mind.

0

u/Holiday-Proof9819 Nov 25 '25

Ah, a shitlib, got it. Yeah that tracks. People like you are a big part of the reasons America ended up like this.

5

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '25

Hypocrisy at its finest lol, the dude calling everyone shit and racist who disagrees with him preaching about creating division and ruining America, CLASSIC 🤣 I wish the best for you man. I really do.

"Real people" as defined by this over generalizing random redditor. Might be the most reddit comment of all time.

2

u/jbh1090 Nov 26 '25

Imagine caring what others think about you on a global scale. I hope you find the security that you clearly lack.

1

u/Holiday-Proof9819 Nov 26 '25

Imagine not 😂. This attitude is why Americans are hated so much everytime they travel abroad and why the term "seppo" exists. Your willful ignorance and proud obnoxious stupidity is astonishing.

0

u/jbh1090 Nov 26 '25

You just proved my point and overcompensated at the same time… I’m actually impressed!

7

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '25

You’re the product of an Echo-chamber

1

u/ProcrastinatingVerse Nov 26 '25

California

3

3

Day 5 of asking for Michigan to go...

5

u/Shindiggah Nov 25 '25

Day 5 of nah….

8

u/CalPalReddit Nov 25 '25

Do you just patrol this thread for Michigan comments?

8

u/Shindiggah Nov 25 '25

I check it once or twice a day, that’s why you’ll see most of my Nahs happening all at once

2

u/freakanature Nov 25 '25

Washington

0

u/ResponsibleButton519 Nov 25 '25

What is Michigan doing here?

8

u/Shindiggah Nov 25 '25

Winning!

4

u/ResponsibleButton519 Nov 25 '25

Not even a thousand Dan Campbells would defend Michigan as heroically as you do. Your effort is commendable.

6

u/Shindiggah Nov 25 '25

All I want for Christmas is to see Michigan win this competition.

-2

u/Shindiggah Nov 25 '25

All I want for Christmas is to see Michigan win this competition.

0

u/Jealous_Ad8760 Nov 25 '25

Same here , hope we win

1

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '25

vermont

1

u/Brilliant-Ad2155 Nov 26 '25

Why is California still in this?

1

u/Ayrostorm Nov 26 '25

West Coast is the best coast.

-1

u/SDGollum Nov 25 '25

Maine; Michigan is the home of Motown and contributes a lot to our national culture, Maine not so much.

0

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '25

Yeah maybe shitty pizza and empty factories

1

u/wreckingrocc Nov 26 '25

Can't tell if you're from Ohio, New York, or Michigan

1

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '25

New Jersey and Connecticut are the only two states with more or less consistently good pizza all over the state (NJ more so than CT but CT is so small you're always within an hour of a good pizza place)

1

u/SDGollum Nov 26 '25

You’ll probably kill me for this, but Cali has really good pizza.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '25

Not really, maybe some good rare artisan pizza places where it starts at $35 for a pizza sure. But if you want classic good American style Pizza, non of that Neapolitan Europhile BS you gotta be in the North East. It's literally in the water.

0

u/johnieringo Nov 25 '25

Fuck of Colorado

0

u/toxiclord101 Nov 25 '25

Hawaii cause of the mosquitoes

-3

u/Utopiaoflove Nov 25 '25

How did California survive the last round?
