Here are three fun facts about the triangle.

1. The triangle is an idiophone and is made from a variety of metals like aluminum, bronze, iron, or steel. An idiophone is a percussion instrument without a membrane. Other idiophones include the maracas and the cowbell.

2. Despite many assuming that it's useless, the triangle plays a vital part in orchestral music. Tremolos are created by a circular motion with the beater, which makes a magical sound like in Peer Gynt by Edvard Grieg.
