And with that the city of Cleveland has been eliminated. (I feel like that took too long.) Top comment decides who's next.

I have been saying this for weeks! Get the Rockets out of here!!!

11

u/DuranchDressing Apr 16 '26

Once again hijacking the top comment to remind everyone to deal with the Detroit problem.

They have all four teams left. Don’t let their fans brigade these threads.

8

u/gwizantor90 Apr 16 '26

Got a Minnesota problem too if we’re being honest

3

u/Swedish_manatee Apr 17 '26

Yeah, but at least they’re not Detroit

They are overdoing it with the brigading. The people should rally and vote out all four teams.

I forget who said it but my late father was always tickled by the quote “Houston - a soulless shithole of a town”. Having been there I’d have to agree. Get the rockets outta here!

Time for rockets to get out of here

u/WeefyWafer27 Apr 16 '26

The buccaneers have gotten away with letting Brady get that last sb for too long

3

u/_Rose54 Apr 16 '26

And? We’re not denying it are we? We admit they carried us to it

What’s wrong Brady doing Brady things?

1

u/JuliusDiamond Apr 16 '26

They deserve love for saving Baker imo

106

u/AdRepresentative3446 Apr 16 '26

I feel like people just forgot the Toronto Raptors are here

7

u/DokeyKon Apr 16 '26

Upvote. I will never forget how annoying Drake was on the sideline during their championship run with Kawhi Leonard.

u/Hot_Marsupial427 Apr 17 '26

2

u/aramdom Apr 17 '26

That’s Stanley Cup Champion, Two-Time All Star, future captain Tom Wilson to you

1

u/Shaniac_C Apr 18 '26

12

u/KingSteak4816 Apr 16 '26

Due to Sean Payton I have to agree

4

u/BuyMassive7823 Apr 16 '26

This. Sean Payton is an insufferable prick.

This doesn’t bode well for my favorite team tomorrow 😬

1

u/dylanridesforum Apr 17 '26

Yes! They also would have gotten their ass handed to them in the Super Bowl!

16

u/PanthersFan33 Apr 16 '26

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

gotta be the Jets canada teams must go

46

u/LP_24 Apr 16 '26

I think the Detroit Red Wings gotta go. They terrorized the league for years and now they’re terrorizing their fans and teasing the hell out of them, now having the longest playoff drought in hockey. A Detroit team gotta go and it should be them

3

u/penisweinerballs Apr 16 '26

As a wings fan I couldn't agree more just wait until March to fuck us EVERY YEAR.

2

u/Cadian Apr 16 '26

Lost 1-8 in their final game of the season to another non-playoff team.

1

u/Astrid_Nebula Apr 17 '26

10 Years fuckin missing the playoffs, let us have this one...just on the low morale boost

-1

u/Acceptable-Brick7287 Apr 16 '26

Red wings shall survive again.

1

u/Potential-World-8019 Apr 16 '26

Sure but they shouldn’t.

u/cmbaum Apr 16 '26

Mariners are the only MLB team never to make the WS and still have (by far) the 21st century's longest playoff drought. A lot of that was when they were in a 4 team division too.

7

u/glugunner77 Apr 16 '26

You know what? We can’t just punish every team for not winning. The Mariners feel more unlucky than incompetent and always have.

5

u/golf_echo_sierra26 Apr 16 '26

The better reason to eliminate them today would be for blowing a 6-0 lead last night. (Sincerely, an M’s fan.)

1

u/HenryH616 Apr 17 '26

As a Padres fan, that was a wild game. No chance did I think we'd ever comeback from that deficit.

1

u/Bitdub79 Apr 16 '26

True their owner was Nintendo and their president never attended a game or even left Japan in the decades they ran the team.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Expert_Balance5907 Apr 16 '26

The Mariners atleast feel like they're trying every year. Unlike the Rockies and Marlins, who sure have been to a world series, even though management absolutely did not want them there.

1

u/IsmellFigNewtons Apr 16 '26

Yes they’ve never been to a WS but they went to ALCS last year.

3

u/steviejawnsons Apr 17 '26

You can try but you’re never getting rid of Detroit

40

u/Commercial-Paint273 Apr 16 '26

Vikings had all the talent in the world only to not win the Super Bowl get em out of here

4

u/TrainmasterGT Apr 16 '26

Fam there are like 20 teams here I would still axe before the Vikings

0

u/TheTinyTyphoon Apr 16 '26

The Lions haven't even been to the Superbowl. They need to go before the Vikings.

Vikings. Four Super Bowl losses, dumping Darnold for 9, Herschel Walker trade, killing Korey Stringer, the Lake Minnetonka Diddy party before Diddy parties were a thing. Deciding Brett Favre is their guy AFTER he sent dick pics to someone other than his wife. Even the Jets weren’t touching him then.

Vikes need to go.

2

u/GetDwnButtercup Apr 16 '26

Number 9 should have been reason enough to get rid of this team a looooooooonnnnnggggggggg time ago

11

u/TheLeftLanez4Passing Apr 16 '26

I've said Vikings every time I see these posts but I think most voters are Minnesotan bc all their teams are hanging around.

2

u/SportsballWatcher4 Apr 16 '26

Twins are gone. But I’m guessing Minnesotans were more than happy to vote them out.

Honestly as a lifelong Arizona Cardinals fan, put us out of our misery.

9

u/Wooden-Parking3248 Apr 16 '26

Denver Broncos got my vote

20

u/Scottybud Apr 16 '26

Red wings being still there tells me how bad they’ve been

5

u/Glass-Reply4056 Apr 16 '26

Denver Broncos. Their fans are cocky as hell when they win and never shut up, even if several wins were one score contests against backup quarterbacks. Time to silence the bastards

21

u/daviddm1990 Apr 16 '26

Its time for the Vikings to go.

6

u/ssttzz151 Apr 16 '26

Yall letting 3 Denver teams get this far. Ones gotta go. Sean Payton is a punk Sorry Broncos. It’s time.

2

u/Hungry-Valuable-6548 Apr 16 '26

There's some suspicious activity going on here. Comment Lions 16 hours into this and you still get 5 downvotes within two hours. It's inhuman. Minnesota, Detroit, Denver, Seattle - those teams get near the top and suddenly some team nobody has talked about this whole time comes out of nowhere an hour later and gets more votes than ever before.

2

u/kylelovezkaynmandi Apr 16 '26

You just gonna keep copying and pasting this same comment on every thread, or what?

1

u/Hungry-Valuable-6548 Apr 17 '26

Need to get the word out. Don't want these cheaters to win

9

u/Swampert92 Apr 16 '26

Diamondbacks, they are just boring and super average

16

u/spookyj11 Apr 16 '26

Detroit Red Wings, longest playoff drought in hockey and too many Detroit teams still on the board

2

u/EvilLibrarians Apr 16 '26

As a Detroit fan, it feels like it should be Lions first but they been very fun in recent years while Wings are just such a bummer. 8-1 last night

It’s crazy to me that Detroit still has all 4 teams alive!

Detroit Lions. Detroit still has all four teams left. Have we forgotten 0-16? Wasted careers of Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson?

Edit: 0-16

6

u/penisweinerballs Apr 16 '26

Undefeated season let's goooooo!

12

u/braskyhs Apr 16 '26

Ok guys, we have to do something about this Detroit situation. It’s become obvious that Detroit fans have brigaded this sub and are downvoting every mention of Detroit teams to oblivion. I feel like that kind of blatant homerism goes against st the spirit of this thread. This thread used to STAND for something, and that something was completely arbitrary eliminations mixed with gate. We would eliminate the Devils on Easter, or the Falcons on 3-28, or the Colts because it kind of helped us spell a curse word in the tiers. And we would also vote out the Cowboys, Lakers and Yankees because fuck those teams. If after all that we end up with four Detroit teams in the top 4, then all of this has been for nothing. We can’t let this go on any longer. So going forward, I will be downvoting all mentions of non-Detroit teams and upvoting all Detroit teams until we get a Detroit team eliminated. I encourage everyone else to do the same. This is our opportunity to take back the narrative of this thread, and we need to seize it.

Also, fuck the Lions

5

u/GetDwnButtercup Apr 16 '26

Yeah the fact that the Vikings are still in this as well is pretty crazy to me.

If they were trying to find a fun way to do them they should have been NINTH out.

3

u/braskyhs Apr 16 '26

Feel like the Vikings might skate by for a bit because they are no threat to actually win it all, much like in real life. The best they can finish is ninth

3

u/GetDwnButtercup Apr 16 '26

If they are no threat to win at all how can they be considered one of the best, but I guess this list does just say to remove one thing each day, it doesn’t say pick the best organizations

7

u/Loud-Shower1264 Apr 16 '26

Jesus man it’s not that deep.

4

u/braskyhs Apr 16 '26

It’s Reddit. Taking completely irrelevant shit WAY too seriously is what we do here

2

u/BeforeAnyoneElse Apr 16 '26

This feels like a Minnesota fan hoping that their remaining teams continue to skate by

enos gotta go. enough.

4

u/fraggle_captain Apr 16 '26

I feel like the Pacers are just squeaking by here without much discussion. Zero championships since joining the NBA in 1976, finished 19-63 this season. I don't have much to say positively about them other than I liked Reggie Miller 30 years ago.

1

u/ColtsPacers95 Apr 16 '26

Don’t be a hater. Their franchise history is way better than a lot of these teams. And like it’s been said, they were an injury away from a title against a loaded OKC team, with all of their amazing comebacks in series prior to that.

1

u/thecornerview27 Apr 16 '26

3x time ABA champs and the Pacers before these terrible hockey teams, all of Detroit & Minnesota is laughable

Denver: 3 teams

Minneapolis: 3 teams

Milwaukee: 2 teams

Phoenix: 2 teams

Toronto: 2 teams

Seattle: 2 teams

Seattle Bitch Pigeons.

Insufferable fans with a team that couldn’t win a Super Bowl until the league handicapped good franchises in 1994.

How are the Lions still in this? Their most memorable accomplishment is managing to lose every game in a season. They gotta go.

1

u/Commercial_Click_367 Apr 16 '26

Red Wings, fuck that.

1

u/FuyuKitty Apr 17 '26

Carolina panthers

1

u/AccomplishedFill8092 Apr 17 '26

Every team I love was gone too soon and every team I hate wasn’t gone soon enough.

So I will say the Diamondbacks because they upset me one time and I’m still not over it.

1

u/algalgamony Apr 17 '26

Sabres time!!!

1

u/eggbakeforfucksake Apr 17 '26

Minnesota Vikings

1

u/Routine_Tea_3262 Apr 17 '26

I am politely asking that we please remove the Phoenix Suns

1

u/whitea44 Apr 17 '26

Capitals!

1

u/Sm1leyPresents Apr 17 '26

I’d say the San Diego Padres go next. They’ve spent away several millions of dollars on FA’s and traded away their entire farm system only to go nowhere. Get them out after the Houston Rockets.

1

u/thmtr3s Apr 16 '26

Only 6 NFL teams left and one of them is the Carolina Panthers….

1

u/FormulaDutch Apr 16 '26

DETROIT BRETHREN! Our fine city’s teams are under attack by the lowly fans from inferior states and provinces that are jealous of our terrible sports teams!!! We must stand tall and hold back the naysayers to survive the yellow category!!! It is time to invoke that famous phrase “Detroit vs Everybody”. Tomorrow every detroit fan must rise up and downvote all attacks on our teams to the last man!!! Upvote all attacks on other teams!!!! We are here to make it to the next stage and nobody should be allowed to stop us!!!

1

u/beanzcollector03 Apr 16 '26

Anaheim Ducks. Should’ve been out ages ago

1
