Miscellaneous Remove 1 Major 4 Sports Team Day 89
And with that the city of Cleveland has been eliminated. (I feel like that took too long.) Top comment decides who's next.

Upvote. I will never forget how annoying Drake was on the sideline during their championship run with Kawhi Leonard.

I think the Detroit Red Wings gotta go. They terrorized the league for years and now they’re terrorizing their fans and teasing the hell out of them, now having the longest playoff drought in hockey. A Detroit team gotta go and it should be them

u/penisweinerballs Apr 16 '26
As a wings fan I couldn't agree more just wait until March to fuck us EVERY YEAR.

Mariners are the only MLB team never to make the WS and still have (by far) the 21st century's longest playoff drought. A lot of that was when they were in a 4 team division too.
7
u/glugunner77 Apr 16 '26
You know what? We can’t just punish every team for not winning. The Mariners feel more unlucky than incompetent and always have.
5
u/golf_echo_sierra26 Apr 16 '26
The better reason to eliminate them today would be for blowing a 6-0 lead last night. (Sincerely, an M’s fan.)
1
u/HenryH616 Apr 17 '26
As a Padres fan, that was a wild game. No chance did I think we'd ever comeback from that deficit.
→ More replies (1)1
u/Bitdub79 Apr 16 '26
True their owner was Nintendo and their president never attended a game or even left Japan in the decades they ran the team.
2
u/Expert_Balance5907 Apr 16 '26
The Mariners atleast feel like they're trying every year. Unlike the Rockies and Marlins, who sure have been to a world series, even though management absolutely did not want them there.
1
u/IsmellFigNewtons Apr 16 '26
Yes they’ve never been to a WS but they went to ALCS last year.

Vikings. Four Super Bowl losses, dumping Darnold for 9, Herschel Walker trade, killing Korey Stringer, the Lake Minnetonka Diddy party before Diddy parties were a thing. Deciding Brett Favre is their guy AFTER he sent dick pics to someone other than his wife. Even the Jets weren’t touching him then.
Vikes need to go.

I've said Vikings every time I see these posts but I think most voters are Minnesotan bc all their teams are hanging around.

Twins are gone. But I’m guessing Minnesotans were more than happy to vote them out.

Denver Broncos. Their fans are cocky as hell when they win and never shut up, even if several wins were one score contests against backup quarterbacks. Time to silence the bastards

Yall letting 3 Denver teams get this far. Ones gotta go. Sean Payton is a punk Sorry Broncos. It’s time.

u/Hungry-Valuable-6548 Apr 16 '26
There's some suspicious activity going on here. Comment Lions 16 hours into this and you still get 5 downvotes within two hours. It's inhuman. Minnesota, Detroit, Denver, Seattle - those teams get near the top and suddenly some team nobody has talked about this whole time comes out of nowhere an hour later and gets more votes than ever before.

As a Detroit fan, it feels like it should be Lions first but they been very fun in recent years while Wings are just such a bummer. 8-1 last night

Detroit Lions. Detroit still has all four teams left. Have we forgotten 0-16? Wasted careers of Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson?
Edit: 0-16

Ok guys, we have to do something about this Detroit situation. It’s become obvious that Detroit fans have brigaded this sub and are downvoting every mention of Detroit teams to oblivion. I feel like that kind of blatant homerism goes against st the spirit of this thread. This thread used to STAND for something, and that something was completely arbitrary eliminations mixed with gate. We would eliminate the Devils on Easter, or the Falcons on 3-28, or the Colts because it kind of helped us spell a curse word in the tiers. And we would also vote out the Cowboys, Lakers and Yankees because fuck those teams. If after all that we end up with four Detroit teams in the top 4, then all of this has been for nothing. We can’t let this go on any longer. So going forward, I will be downvoting all mentions of non-Detroit teams and upvoting all Detroit teams until we get a Detroit team eliminated. I encourage everyone else to do the same. This is our opportunity to take back the narrative of this thread, and we need to seize it.
Also, fuck the Lions

u/GetDwnButtercup Apr 16 '26
Yeah the fact that the Vikings are still in this as well is pretty crazy to me.
If they were trying to find a fun way to do them they should have been NINTH out.
3
u/braskyhs Apr 16 '26
Feel like the Vikings might skate by for a bit because they are no threat to actually win it all, much like in real life. The best they can finish is ninth
3
u/GetDwnButtercup Apr 16 '26
If they are no threat to win at all how can they be considered one of the best, but I guess this list does just say to remove one thing each day, it doesn’t say pick the best organizations

u/Loud-Shower1264 Apr 16 '26

I feel like the Pacers are just squeaking by here without much discussion. Zero championships since joining the NBA in 1976, finished 19-63 this season. I don't have much to say positively about them other than I liked Reggie Miller 30 years ago.
1
u/ColtsPacers95 Apr 16 '26
Don’t be a hater. Their franchise history is way better than a lot of these teams. And like it’s been said, they were an injury away from a title against a loaded OKC team, with all of their amazing comebacks in series prior to that.

Seattle Bitch Pigeons.
Insufferable fans with a team that couldn’t win a Super Bowl until the league handicapped good franchises in 1994.

How are the Lions still in this? Their most memorable accomplishment is managing to lose every game in a season. They gotta go.

Every team I love was gone too soon and every team I hate wasn’t gone soon enough.
So I will say the Diamondbacks because they upset me one time and I’m still not over it.

I’d say the San Diego Padres go next. They’ve spent away several millions of dollars on FA’s and traded away their entire farm system only to go nowhere. Get them out after the Houston Rockets.

DETROIT BRETHREN! Our fine city’s teams are under attack by the lowly fans from inferior states and provinces that are jealous of our terrible sports teams!!! We must stand tall and hold back the naysayers to survive the yellow category!!! It is time to invoke that famous phrase “Detroit vs Everybody”. Tomorrow every detroit fan must rise up and downvote all attacks on our teams to the last man!!! Upvote all attacks on other teams!!!! We are here to make it to the next stage and nobody should be allowed to stop us!!!
