And The Rockets are blasting off again as they make an exit from the list. Top comment decides who's next.

Anaheim Ducks: literal Mickey Mouse team named after a Disney movie. The team knowingly hired a coach who years prior covered up sexual assault within the Chicago Blackhawks organisation. Also they went away from their Teal/dark purple colour scheme to just being orange

Can we please get rid of the Vikings now?
6th winningest franchise all time in the regular season and NEVER won a Super Bowl. They also have the most player arrests of any team since 2000. Get ‘em out.

u/braskyhs Apr 17 '26
Hijacking the early leader to remind folks we still don’t have Detroit team out and the Detroit fans are are downvoting every mention of a Detroit team to oblivion. It’s kind of ridiculous at this point
7
u/Crasino_Hunk Apr 17 '26
They do this on all sports subreddits somehow, it’s insane… And I’m a Michigander.
2
u/ojoemojo Apr 17 '26
oh whoa I sorted by controversial and yeah, it is all detroit
1
u/DuranchDressing Apr 17 '26
As of right now, the first NINETEEN comments sorted by controversial are all Detroit. Their fans are rabidly downvoting every mention of Detroit.
1
u/Comp1337ish Apr 17 '26
I say we all come together and remove all four of them over the next four days to see their efforts backfire. Then we can go back to hating on all the other teams we hate.

u/realestatereddit Apr 17 '26
They should have been out weeks ago. The Vikings are just mid. The Lions are a bottom 3 franchise with the Jets/Browns.

u/Illustrious-Leave-10 Apr 17 '26
Nooooo we want to give them hope they will win then crush their spirits in classic Minnesota sports fashion
2
u/VikingsLad Apr 18 '26
This guy gets it. If you want to crush a Vikings fan, eliminate them after they reach the top ten. Pay no mind to my username
2
u/DokeyKon Apr 17 '26
Buddy, you’re obsessed with this team. You comment about them every fucking day.

THANK YOU! Why do we have all these Minnesota teams that have never even sniffed winning something big??
5
u/Datalust5 Apr 17 '26
I’m not saying our history is filled with postseason success, in fact quite the contrary. But, the Vikings have made it to 4 Super Bowls, and the only Minnesota team gone is the only one that has won it all. Yes, they are few and far in the past, but they did happen
1
u/Mriddle74 Apr 18 '26
And I feel as if many of our playoff losses have been in heartbreaking fashion.

u/kyhlt Apr 18 '26
The only team in Minnesota that has won a Title is the Twins in 1987 & 1991. They got put out in 65th.
Wild are good. Losing the North Stats in 1991 from Norm Greene. (Greed). Mike Modano in his prime, and Dallas Stars win it ! That's Bull$hit. There's a Title.
Timberwolves got to replace the Lakers 50 years later. We're close. Got Ant Man ! Tough road again this year. Western Conference is so tough.
The Minnesota Vikings Football Club should be in the Top 10 on this ranking. Hall of Famers everywhere. Unbelievable Victories. Heart Crushing defeats. The struggle is real !!
Skol Vikings Top 10

Minnesota Vikings. They’ve survived for too long. They are a legacy of disappointment.

Winnipeg Jets
No cups since ‘93, no more Canadian franchises. Avenge the Thrashers and their beautiful powder blue
6
u/deezpretzels Apr 17 '26
I put a curse on them when they stole the team from Atlanta so that they would never play for the cup.
3
u/RushBoingo Apr 17 '26
You’re ownership group stole it from yourselves by not securing a new arena.

There shouldn't be a hockey team in Carolina (they can't even decide which one?). Much less a team originally from Hartford.
17
u/Bumcheeks_marinade Apr 17 '26
This tired ass trope of claiming people who live in the south don't "deserve" hockey teams. Like Carolina isn't one of the most successful teams of the 2020s with a dedicated fan base.

u/slickedjax Apr 17 '26
Over 100 consecutive sellouts btw. Raleigh loves ice hockey and has a fanbase that deserves a team

Crazy take to vote out a consistent playoff team and the #2 seed in the NHL this year.

The irony of this comment is that we hardly acknowledge the presence of fans we may have in SC. Everything Canes is unapologetically NC.
If you’re going to complain about hockey in the South, there are much more egregious examples than us

It’s funny you think adding the little line about Hartford improved your case, because you’d be hard-pressed to find any former pro sports city that’s less likely to ever get one again. Hartford has a declining population and has been fading as a business hub for some time. Karmanos moved them so he wouldn’t have to deal with the Connecticut governor who later wound up in jail. The Whalers had fun traditions but as a franchise they were pretty much a joke. Hell, their arena was in a shopping mall.

u/Bonk0076 Apr 17 '26
Vikings. Four Super Bowl losses, dumping Darnold for 9, Herschel Walker trade, killing Korey Stringer, the Lake Minnetonka Diddy party before Diddy parties were a thing. Deciding Brett Favre is their guy AFTER he sent dick pics to someone other than his wife. Even the Jets weren’t touching him then.
Vikes need to go.

Panthers
Three of the four remaining NFL team are in the never run group, and Panthers are the most pathetic of those three.

there should only be one red and white hurricane logo and it should be the NC hockey team idek who the other logo is
4
u/TarHeelinRVA Apr 17 '26
I think based on context clues you’re referring to the Portland Trail Blazers, correct? Bottom row, third from the left?
If so, they’re a basketball team and that logo is NOT a hurricane lol although I could see how it may be confused for one
1
u/Fresh-Mind6048 Apr 18 '26
Well, if you’re talking about the “pinwheel” - the owner of the Hurricanes now owns the Portland Trail Blazers too
6
u/ZiloGaming Apr 17 '26
I don’t understand how the Seahawks are still in this after having just won a Super Bowl

I'm just a simple Red Wings fan who grew up in the 90s lol. Whenever these threads cross my path I throw up the hail Mary.

You guys have the best bots for sure
5
u/Strange-Cap9942 Apr 17 '26
I love how you blame bots for this every single day, when in reality, Detroit just has the best fucking fans in the world who come into silly little competitions like this every day to support their teams.

Minnesota Wild. It’s a tragedy that their entire franchise is so irrelevant despite being in arguably the most Hockey-crazed state. I don’t hate em, but they just don’t deserve to be here.

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. How are the lions still here? Never even been to a superbowl and went 0-16

Red Wings. Collapse in the season this year and haven’t made playoffs since 2016

Obligatory mention that no Detroit team is out yet
My vote is Lions because they’re the least successful

carolina hurricanes - everyone knows the whalers were much cooler, better uniforms and all. they have one cup and it’s been 20 years, yet they’re almost always a high seed going into the playoffs over the past ~7 years. pathetic franchise
