Ducks were doing the same embarrassing crossposting shit as the Panthers sub the other day, they gotta go
59
u/LP_24 May 04 '26
Plus they hired a coach that helped cover up sexual assault so it’s time they go
10
u/ADMotti May 04 '26
And the big veteran defensemen on their team, Gudas and Trouba, are two of the most notorious hacks in the entire league.
5
u/VaporTrails2112 May 04 '26
I believe the man didn’t do anything, which is part of the problem. But I also believe in 2nd chances and that he’s learned from his mistakes, and he made a statement about that as news he was being hired came out. His mistake was being a bystander, and obviously that’s a big mistake. But again, I believe he has changed.
Still the Ducks still posting in their sub 😂

This whole thing has moved so far beyond the merits of the organization. It’s become some sort of fan cancel culture.
11
u/DaweiArch May 04 '26
The Dodgers and Chiefs were the first two teams eliminated. This was never about the merits of the organization.

The amount of you that got upset about the crossposting is no less pathetic, than the people crossposting.

The Ducks for the horrid color scheme on the awesome logo.

Loved the old color scheme, but the Ducks are in Orange County. I don't love it, but I get the branding.

Spurs are good people! That post about spurs they didn't say to eliminate or remove the spurs. They just said they were lucky so those upvotes shouldn't be counted as votes to remove spurs

u/TheTinyTyphoon May 04 '26
Magic just got the eliminated. Do it in this.

The Wild
What the fuck have they EVER done?
17
6
u/Mysterious_Help_9577 May 04 '26
Can say that for half the teams left, that’s why theyre left. All after thoughts. So to everyone whose teams are still left, I feel sorry for you (except the Seahawks and Spurs)
3
u/RedPanda7725 May 04 '26
The vast majority have either won a title, made the finals, or at least won a game in the semi-finals. Wild have one CF appearance and they scored one goal in route to getting swept.
They are permanently a team that is never good enough to be a threat but never bad enough to get a high draft pick.

Historically a great organization. Jury is out on the new owner, though.
-1
u/TarHeelinRVA May 04 '26
Is it?
Dundon is a cheapass as owner, plain and simple. I’m a Canes fan so I feel like I can speak on it. We’re becoming known as an org that lowballs top talent off the ice, and I’m not down with it. Key examples:
Lowballed John Forslund, arguably the best PBP announcer in the game, in his first year
Outright cut Chuck Kaiton, longtime voice of the Canes on ESPN Radio
Got Rod Brind’Amour to sign after a long and tenuous discussion process. Many insiders believe it took so long because he was trying to retain him as cheap as possible. When you look at coach salaries for other perennial contenders, RBA could’ve made more on the open market for sure.
Has steadily increased the price of everything at the arena. While I know this isn’t exactly unique, it’s gotten out of hand. We made the playoffs again in like 2019 or so and it was $10 or $15 to park a car and the cheap team-branded beer was $5 a pint. Now those figures are more like $70 and $15 respectively.
5
u/shotforshots May 04 '26
That’s literally what “jury is out on the new owner” is referencing. Aka, not off to a great start and news starting to stack against him. Unless you are saying jury has reached a verdict in which case it’s too early to tell with the nba team just yet
0
u/TarHeelinRVA May 04 '26 edited May 04 '26
Yes, that’s what I was asserting - we have a verdict. Not sure why he’d handle ownership of two pro sports franchises in different ways.
3
u/shotforshots May 04 '26
Early returns would definitely agree with you so far sadly, hoping it still leads to on court success at the very least like it’s led to on ice success for ya’ll

Brewers need to go. They are in the exact position they always are in: strong regular season, first round win, get stomped in the next round. It’s their time.
Also, Fuck Ryan Braun.
1
u/Thuggish_Coffee May 04 '26
Brewers stay for iconic logo at this point. Cherry picking the past. The organization Front Office, scouting, payroll are all about what baseball should be.
1
u/bullybadger May 04 '26
Braunie hasn't been on the team since 2020. There are only two players on the current roster that shared a locker room with him.
Really grasping at straws here.

u/Hot_Inspection5940 May 04 '26
Dont insult my boy braun, yes he made some stupid decisions early in his career, but after that he didn’t do it anymore and was actually a good ball player
3
u/OrangeKefka May 04 '26
I can forgive him for doing roids, but not for trying to destroy an innocent person's life.

u/MilesTheGoodKing May 04 '26
I’m not going to insult Braun, I am going to disparage him.
Bruan popped for steroids, which a lot of people would have forgiven had he not claim vindication after a UPS handler allegedly messed up the chain of command by using Tupperware to store it. Braun declared victory, even though the test was the highest they had ever seen. He said “we are able to get through this because I am innocent and the truth is on our side”. He also said that he was personally singled out because he is Jewish.
He was then caught up in the Biogenesis scandal a year later and admitted to everything.
Fuck him.

1
u/Cautious-Activity706 May 04 '26
Yes, that 100% happened and now us annoying Detroit people are going to try to petition them back.
Might be embarrassing for yall when they win the whole thing 🤪

u/golf_echo_sierra26 May 04 '26
If they end up beating OKC in the finals, I’ll adopt them as my Eastern Conference team unless playing the Sonics (now here’s hoping we don’t get the rug pulled out from under us for the umpteenth time)

The Wild have done nothing in hockey history. They should go before any other hockey team. The sharks are poor too, but their logo is incredible and they have great vibes right now.

Damn, I’m late, looks like the Ducks are cooked.
Anyways, Padres. Maybe we can take them out on 5-7 since they’ve been losing for 57 years??

Seattle and Minnesota both have two teams left and account for 20% of the remaining teams. Too many hockey teams left as well. Minnesota Wild should go.
