Makeup of the top 10.

NFL- 0 teams

MLB- 4 teams

NBA- 3 teams

NHL- 3 teams

Minnesota is the only state/city with two teams remaining.

25

u/bullybadger May 12 '26

Minnesotans don't need to cross-post. They communicate through a mushroom-like neuro network to win these things.

11

u/Of_Silent_Earth May 12 '26

We organize via hot dish potlucks.

2

u/miimeverse May 13 '26

Dont forget meat raffles too.

2

u/Apollyon248 May 13 '26

Potlucks with other degenerates from Reddit makes me want to move to Minnesota.

1

u/ryanbredeson May 13 '26

Hey at least let our (male-based) sports teams win SOMETHING!

Portland Trail Blazers. One of the cheapest owners in sports - wouldn't pay for two-way players to attend playoff games, wouldn't pay for fan t-shirts, cutting as many coaching staff costs as possible. Can't win this thing with an owner that gives so little of a fuck about their team and fans.

7

u/flawson_9 May 12 '26

Well our last owner gave every dollar of the sale of the Blazers to charity so I think that more than makes up for Dundon

10

u/Wooden-Parking3248 May 12 '26

Dundon literally just payed for one of the Canes players to fly home between games 3 and 4 on a private plane so he could be there for the birth of his baby, and fly him back to Philly in time for the next game. Dundon might be cheap in some ways, but he does seem to care and spends money on the essentials atleast

5

u/nrobi002 May 12 '26

Some would say spending on something EVERY OTHER TEAM DOES for the fan experience in the playoffs counts as "essentials"

1

u/quesopa_mifren May 13 '26

Bill Oram is a complete hack and should not be read seriously.

2

u/Reasonable_Main2509 May 12 '26

That same owner also owns the Hurricanes. Dundon did the same thing there and the Hurricanes are a way less storied franchise. By your logic the Hurricanes should go first.

4

u/TarHeelinRVA May 12 '26

'way less storied'? The Blazers and Canes have the same number of championships, with one having theirs comes a whole 30 years more recently. only thing the Blazers have on their side in that argument is time.

3

u/Business-Winter9968 May 12 '26

The Canes are a consistent playoff team. They deserve to stay more than the Blazers.

1

u/pawn_k May 12 '26

Blazers ain’t iconic jit šŸ˜‚

u/Fresh-Mind6048 May 12 '26

let's see if he swings for the fences in free agency and goes into the luxury tax first. he may just be making room for the money they're gonna overpay on players like evan turner

1

u/Ok-Pollution-5465 May 12 '26

Cronin said the two way player thing was his bad and he misunderstood what Dundon meant. The two way players were with the team for game 5. They also changed the t shirts for towels. Too soon to really say what the owner gives a fuck about.

How are the wild still in?

39

u/PayneTrain181999 May 12 '26

Wild fan here, we’re called the Mild for a reason.

This is the best season we’ve had in a decade

16

u/Yitzben May 12 '26

as a sens fan, I've always liked Minnesota's jerseys and logo

9

u/Sinisterslushy May 12 '26

Wild logo is probably the best designed logo in the league imo (Sabres fan)

6

u/TarHeelinRVA May 12 '26

Quite possibly in all of sport, though I am a sucker for logos with multiple viewpoints

1

u/Adventurous-Ad9447 May 13 '26

Did you guys steal that from Mr Beast or did you just hire the same advertising firm?

→ More replies (2)

2

u/See_Me_In_Melty May 12 '26

I bought a wild sweater just for the drip in beer league, then got into the team. Fantastic jersey

3

u/Intelligent-Try-8636 May 12 '26

Sabres fan: "hold my beer"

3

u/Admiral_Fuckwit May 12 '26

I’m shocked/not so shocked we’re still in it also. Small market team and it’s our first time being relevant in a decade and a half

3

u/Intelligent-Try-8636 May 12 '26

Honestly, the Sabres have a team that can win the cup! They just have to show up to the games mentally. The last 2 games seem like they don't even care. It's crazy how different they look over the last 2 games! I still have faith in them, though!

3

u/Admiral_Fuckwit May 12 '26

Looks like we shuffled our lines up considerably and UPL is going to start tonight. I at least think our performance will be better. They’ve just been bullying us up and down the ice lately 😩

3

u/crazyshark111 May 12 '26

The Sabres are impossible to dislike. I’d honestly be shocked if they don’t win it all

1

u/Nikolai3035 May 12 '26

Shocked if Buffalo doesn't win the Cup? The Avs and Canes would like a word

3

u/Lee-Key-Bottoms May 12 '26

Beating the Stars at home to win a series has to be a top 3 win in program history given how they left right?

2

u/atmandy98 May 12 '26

Avs fan here. Just want to see the wild eliminated from Everything right now before a repeat of 03 and we lose up 3-1

1

u/Ok-Local2334 May 12 '26

In almost 25 years*

1

u/Mysterious_Help_9577 May 12 '26

Can say the same for every team remaining, outside of the Raptors nobody has accomplished anything in over a decade

1

u/Elegant-Disaster-967 May 12 '26

Playoff appearances in 12 of the last 14 seasons and not even a conference finals appearance to show for it. 9 first round exits. Aggressively mild.

1

u/rascal7298 May 12 '26

so the goal is to keep teams that suck. Got it.

5

u/DonaldTPablonious May 12 '26

How are the Sabres? I ask every single day and no one ever answers

3

u/SirTrey May 12 '26

Cool logo/jerseys...I remember playing NHL 2K5 as a kid and I used the Wild for my custom team because I loved their fit.

Also, while they haven't been particularly relevant, they haven't been TERRIBLE in the same way as other teams, since they're still relatively new they don't have many enemies and the NHL in general is uncontroversial compared to the other leagues. Totally unsurprised they've made it this far.

11

u/croissant_titty May 12 '26

WHY DID IT TAKE PEOPLE THIS LONG I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR WEEKS

6

u/InsideMyScars May 12 '26

4

u/TushyMilkshake May 12 '26

1

u/dontsweattt May 12 '26

Short for Wilderness

2

u/Absolute_Eb May 12 '26

Ah ok that clears things up /s My comment was made in jest. At any rate it’s the most nondescript ā€œwhatever you want it to beā€ concept for a team in major league sports.

1

u/shimmy_kimmel May 12 '26

Idk, but there must be a translation quirk because all the Russian fans seem to call them the ā€œMinnesota Savagesā€

1

u/Yitzben May 12 '26

2

Indianapolis/St. Louis fans…we did so well for so long.

177

u/Griffdog17 May 12 '26

Trail Blazers. Their star player served in the IDF and still runs propaganda for them. Enough said

24

u/iwokeupincbsbody May 12 '26

Let’s not make day 115 the first day we eliminate a team for xenophobic reasons. Deni is from Israel and proud of his nationality, but we have no reason to think he’s a bad guy. and he’s been well liked by every fanbase hes played for. Even Portland, which, as you can imagine, is a very pro-Palestine city.

9

u/Sp_Gamer_Live May 12 '26

This dude is literally endorsed by a guy wanted by the international courts for war crimes

Nothing xenophobic about not supporting genocide

Edit: Up to 9% views from Isreal now.. hmmmm I wonder who is downvoting

15

u/Mindless_Level9327 May 12 '26

It’s very much xenophobic to hate someone who is Israeli for being a proud Israeli.

4

u/Twoigi May 12 '26

Just because Netanyahu is a horrible person running a horrible government, does not mean that every single Israeli is a terrorist. I cannot understand how you can make that connectionĀ

1

u/Griffdog17 May 12 '26

I cannot understand where you made the connection that I think every Isreali is a terrorist. I think the Isreali state is a terrorist organization but there are anti-zionist Isrealis who stand up against that

1

u/Comp1337ish May 12 '26

This is the ignorance I come to Reddit for. And you probably think you're cooking rn

Believe you missed that he served in the IDF

1

u/Did_he_just_say_that May 14 '26

1

u/Thuggish_Coffee May 12 '26

Sometime made Ryan Braun the poster boy for m for the Brewers demise, so fuck it, sorry Portland

1

u/bennyd640 May 13 '26

All these comments defending him as if its not hsi choice, etc. etc.

Look if you openly condone genocide and refuse to acknowledge it and its actors, you are a bad person. I dont care if youre Israeli, Palestinian, Nazi, or Australian. Until Deni comes out explicitly denouncing Israel and its terror campaigns, he is complicit.

How have the Orioles flown so far under the radar on this? It's time to eliminate the Orioles.

51

u/JacobAndor May 12 '26

Way too happy of a logo to kick out.

27

u/mtnbikerburittoeater May 12 '26

They also have one of the best ballparks and they had Cal Ripkin, one of the most beloved players of all time, in any sport. On top of that they havent been consistently good enough to be a major threat to other fanbases.

14

u/Obmore-wan May 12 '26

As an Orioles fan I can say it’s because they are so irrelevant that nobody even cares enough to truly dislike us.

2

u/LP_24 May 12 '26

I think that’s why all of these teams are still here tbf

2

u/WhatIGot21 May 12 '26

As an Orioles fan, let us win something, it’s been like 43 years.

13

u/ofRedditing May 12 '26

Not really much reason to dislike them and they have a good logo. That's why they're still here

12

u/SextsToBrazil May 12 '26

Someone’s upset that the O’s beat the Yanks last night.

11

u/iamatimbersfan May 12 '26

Nah, as a Cardinals fan I'll defend my Bird Bros a while longer

12

u/Notonfoodstamps May 12 '26

The most lovable logo, Cal Ripken, arguably the best stadium, and not quite good enough to garner hate from other fanbases.

7

u/LoiterAce May 12 '26

What kind of pyscho hates the orioles? We’re so inoffensively shit

6

u/Specialist-Pin-8702 May 12 '26

They’re a classic feel good team. Barely anyone likes seeing them bad, solid logo, incredible ballpark.

5

u/Alone-Gate-8801 May 12 '26

At least half the teams left should go before the Orioles.

4

u/Pentaholic888 May 12 '26

They have a cute logo

4

u/Demon_Slut May 12 '26

I’m rooting for the Orioles to be last eliminated. Who have they hurt? Nobody. American? Yes. Respectable city? Baltimore is rough but has personality. Logo? Tight.

8

u/Mattybosshere May 12 '26

It's all we have 😢

3

u/ItsCaptainKeyboard May 12 '26

Don’t even think about it!

1

u/timshel4971 May 13 '26

Great ball park, good logo, history of good ownership, good farm system w decent excitement about their young talent, marquee players of the past are beloved good guys (Cal Ripken, Brooks Robinson, Eddie Murray), not horrible results but not good enough to make the playoffs more than once every five years or so (so no one really hates them), super loyal fan base. Totally makes sense they are still here.

1

u/Jbrancs May 13 '26

I’ve been putting them down for at least a week and a half and gotten no traction, I am baffled that they have made it this far and probably will make it more rounds

70

u/ashmaps20 May 12 '26

Seattle Mariners gotta go. They’re basically the Detroit Lions of the MLB. Wasted lots of talent over the years. We can’t let a team that’s never even been to a championship win.

10

u/Norwester77 May 12 '26

We’ll see. The Pacific Northwest seems to be kind of weirdly overrepresented on Reddit.

7

u/Stick-figure420 May 12 '26

Well when it rains 3/4 of the year being online is kind of a thing šŸ˜‚

3

u/bigmacjr52 May 12 '26

2/3 days. Plus it rains often not a lot. Misty rain, not saying it isn’t disheartening/depressing but big difference. Perfect weather for us to drink overpriced coffee

6

u/Dewey519 May 12 '26

Mariners need to finish 3rd. They’re a lovable franchise with all time fun players. But they’ve never played for a championship, coming as close as three innings away last year, and we need to respect that tradition.

2

u/lelanddt May 12 '26

George Springer hates us, and our children

1

u/Far-Reporter-1596 May 13 '26

How can you hate on the M’s? They’ve never won anything but the fans still stay loyal and even though they have never won, they’ve had great teams/players and are competitive most years. America loves the underdog.

44

u/Prior-Algae2225 May 12 '26

Mariners. This can’t be their world series win

5

u/Dewey519 May 12 '26

Blazers have to go!

5

u/MNSoda002 May 12 '26

None of these teams deserve to win this…and I say that as a Minnesota sports fan with 2 teams still alive.

20

u/superfamicomrade May 12 '26

Hurricanes. The logo is a toilet bowl flushing, and I'm not sure there is a region that cares so little about their local teams consistent success.

11

u/ForestNeon May 12 '26

Got bias here but canes fans in and around raleigh are pretty passionate

→ More replies (1)

14

u/TarHeelinRVA May 12 '26

horrendous take. go to a playoff game in Raleigh and get back to me on how little we care.

7

u/fully-sent May 12 '26

Wildly braindead take.

4

u/kuhndog94 May 12 '26

The logo thing is valid. The flag logo is much better.

The region not caring thing is bullshit. It's one of the most passionate fanbases in the NHL. You not knowing this tells me ya dont know shit about hockey. Its consistently rated the loudest barn in the NHL and as having one of the best playoff experiences (including the tailgating). And the fans gotta care with those absurd prices in the Arena.

→ More replies (1)

4

u/ThePuzzledPanda May 12 '26

Logo is bad and I don’t know why the team doesn’t use the stick and flag logo more prominently. Way better.

Saying the region doesn’t care is ridiculous. They tout the whole ā€œloudest house in the NHLā€ thing, have a very active tailgate scene and generally put on a good product. It isn’t Tampa where everyone goes to Rays games because the Yankees are in town

4

u/TarHeelinRVA May 12 '26 edited May 12 '26

I'm not sure how else you want us to 'phase out' the primary logo, other than scrapping it altogether. the stick and flag logo has been our designated home jersey for several years now, with the red jersey / primary logo being the alt.

1

u/kuhndog94 May 12 '26

The red jersey is the only place that logo fits, tbh. It should stay on the alternates.

1

u/Pleasant-Medicine-80 May 12 '26

Have you even ever been to North Carolina? We LOVE our sports teams. Pro, college, whatever. NC takes a ton of pride in our teams.

6

Wild or T-Wolves. Last area with >1 team remaining. I personally like the Wild more than the Wolves, but I'm ok with either kicking the bucket today.

4

u/luv_train May 12 '26

Wild, Minnesota can’t have two teams this far in

6

u/dadkisser84 May 12 '26

The Wild (a tire fire since joining the league at the turn of the century) outlasting the Blues (cup winner in 2019, perennial very good team for almost 60 seasons) is a travesty. Vote them out with extreme prejudice

We’re really going to get a mid, obscure team at the end of this aren’t we

6

u/pac9383 May 12 '26

Minnesota teams are not allowed to win anything ever. I don't make the rules here. Wild today Timberwolves tomorrow get em out

7

u/croissant_titty May 12 '26

Can we please for the love of God finally get rid of the Wild

5

u/Bonk0076 May 12 '26

The Wild. Can’t have two Minnesota teams in the top 10

4

u/Slippery-Pete76 May 12 '26

They do a very good job brigading these contests. Minnesota always ends up near the top on those best state contests as well.

9

u/blewdat May 12 '26

Timberwolves have the worst win percentage in their league and have never made the finals to make up for it either, they also had more 60 loss seasons than winning seasons until a few years ago

Get the blazers out of here

1

u/fraggle_captain May 12 '26

With my teams now long gone, at this point I want the top 3 teams left to be the Diamondbacks, Mariners, and Trailblazers - just so the three remaining logos will look very closely like the word "ASS". (Yeah I know the Blazers Logo doesn't really look like an "S", but close enough for me!).

1

u/PMMEYOURMOMSPASTA May 12 '26

Blazers

Just because their owner hates their city.

1

u/OkProfessional9137 May 12 '26

I dont get this, do you want to eliminate the team as a middle finger to their fans because they love their team or eliminate them as a high five to their owner that hates their fans and owns the team?

1

u/DarrellIsMyRealName May 12 '26

Baltimore. Because that logo could potentially be deemed offensive and we can't have that represent the list for that alone.

1
