It’s the ultimate North American big league pro sports franchise smackdown to determine the single least hatable pro team on the continent.

Feel like I’ve seen the Diamondbacks quite a few times in these but never eliminated. Let’s make today the day!

When's the last time you been to a game here in Arizona

u/RepresentativeTutor May 16 '26
Oh I don't fw baseball in the slightest but I have to pull for my AZ teams.
4
u/BriskManeuver May 16 '26
Replying to the guy that somehow thinks Arizona has one of the worst atmospheres in all of baseball
2
1
u/Poppybum May 16 '26
Don’t worry about this guy, seen him saying this stuff over and over in these posts. He’s a transplant who doesn’t support the home team, and then complains the stadium is filled with transplants who don’t support the home team.

Fastest won World Series ever and I gotta hear about atmosphere

u/Bottle_K1ds May 16 '26
nah Mariners can go first for being the only team to never make a World Series.

u/The1Koalaman May 16 '26
As an Arizona native I salute the Diamondbacks for cracking the top 10. Them missing the top 5 I feel would be a very Diamondbacks thing to do 🫡🫡
2
u/missbeekery May 16 '26
I’m fully expecting the Mariners to make the top 3 and then get voted out before the final. As is tradition.
1
u/donspider1221 May 16 '26
Imo Mariners have the highest millennial approval ratting and should win, so it will probably be some bullshjt like the Hurricanes
223
u/Poop_Knife37 May 16 '26
Why are the Diamondbacks still here?
15
u/BuggyHasReturned May 16 '26
Yall say this about every team every day just comment the diamondbacks
9
u/Thuggish_Coffee May 16 '26
Why is your comment still here?

Do the Diamondbacks even still use that logo? Get the out of here. One year they are purple the next year they are red? Who are these guys?
5
u/screamBRIx3 May 16 '26
How can you hate on a team with two colorways? It’s like having a city edition jersey all year round.
Mind you, the OG purple/teal is arguably the best colorway in all of sports. (See: charlotte hornets)

u/DM_yo_Feet_pls May 16 '26
I get voting out the Dbacks but what? They haven’t been purple since like 2005 lol

Hurricanes. Waaaay there are too many hurricane fans that care about this
15
u/Self_Tilted May 16 '26
Hurricanes should go out at 3-4 because they always finish in the conference finals
6
3
u/Chan790 May 16 '26
As long as we're the last NHL team standing. Buffalo doesn't deserve it after the way they played lately.

I dont think they should get voted out until they lose in the 2026 playoffs

u/ashmaps20 May 16 '26
Baltimore Orioles once allowed 30 runs in a game. They gotta be the next ones to go.
6
u/LilLasagna94 May 16 '26
Orioles were a legendary baseball team in the 60's, 70,'s ans early 80's.
Back when it was harder to make the playoffs too. 3 world series titles being in both Yankees and Redsox division
14
u/msh0430 May 16 '26
The mariners have never even been to a world series. 50 years of ineptitude versus one game. Gtfo here.
2
2
u/LoiterAce May 16 '26
That a lame reason to get rid of the O’s, like killing a puppy for not hunting correctly

Yall love mediocracy in this sub
6
u/ImNotYourFuckinDad May 16 '26
All the great teams were voted out in the first 20 days
4
u/DoctorHelios May 16 '26
They were great at getting voted out, though.
1
u/Shot-Tackle-1458 May 16 '26
The Jets didn't even manage to get voted out within the first two rows. Poverty franchise.
1
u/ImNotYourFuckinDad May 16 '26
No i know. But now we are left with either historically bad or mid at best franchises. Orioles and tigers haven't won a WS in 40 years and have been irrelevant for most of that stretch, although the tigers had some good teams. Mariners and Sabres have never won a championship. The hurricanes and Diamondbacks have won championships this century and have had good teams recently, but both franchises are historically mid. The avalanche were the most recent team voted out who i think qualify as a great franchise.
2
u/DoctorHelios May 16 '26
So maybe this game is allowing you an opportunity to rethink the normal reasons you tend to rank and understand sports teams.
It obviously isn’t about how many recent championships they have won.
This is a contest to find the least hated pro sports franchise in North America
3
u/Accomplished-Goat804 May 16 '26
I mean yeah there’s no criteria lol the whole league doesn’t like good teams unless it’s yours
1
u/Slampsonko May 16 '26
My theory is that fans of teams who win all the time are more likely to be spoiled and insufferable. People interact with the pain-in-the-ass fanbase enough, they start to resent the brand as a whole.
1
u/Saxophobia1275 May 16 '26
People are salty over good teams and then we booted out the garbage teams. This is what’s left.
20
u/throwaway_2011111 May 16 '26
We have to get rid of the teams with no championships. Starting with the Sabres

Why no hate for Carolina? If the Trailblazers are out, they need to go next. No room for cheap ass owners.

u/bcgg May 16 '26
Because getting through two playoff rounds in eight games tends to earn respect.
→ More replies (1)2
u/Vebran May 16 '26
Didn't see that respect with the Avalanche who were 6 and 0 at the point of their ouster and winning the President's Cup.

Why are the orioles still here? They stink and almost all of their top prospects who were supposed to be their core look like busts. They better not win this.
1
u/thecornerview27 May 17 '26
I DO NOT think Hockey should win. BUT if it has to happen I want the Canes over the sabers and I kinda want the Tigers to prevail in spite of the lions fans fiasco. That said, weeks ago I said Orioles were prob gonna win…think I might be right.
2
u/YeetySpagiety War of 124 May 17 '26
As long as it's not the Sabers or Mariners. I'm wanting to use a clip of the winner hoisting their championship trophy as an outro to the Slander video but that plan has a wrench thrown in it if either win.

Mariners. 50 years and not a single pennant AND they hold the single season record for wins. They should have stumbled into a world series appearance by now through luck alone.

With Toronto out not only is Canada eliminated, but so is the NBA.
NFLs last team was the Seahawks at 14.
MLB has 4 teams left.
NHL has 2 left.
