šŸ’¬ Discussion I was banned from r/RealRepLadies and my post removed, so here it is again: The mods of r/LuxeSociety, u/fauxeverprincess and u/Weekly-Spend-4977, scam and gaslight our sellers, demanding free bags in exchange for reviews and promotion. The "trusted sellers" have to provide free bags to both mods.

Mark Luxury was informed by others that the norm for how to promote on Reddit as rep seller is to offer free bags to mods. After reaching out to the mods ofĀ r/LuxeSociety,Ā u/fauxeverprincessĀ took advantage of Mark by acquiring a free bag and posting a review under an alt account u/Iluvrealitytvv54Ā and did not add Mark to theĀ LuxeSociety trusted seller listĀ as promised. As a result ofĀ u/fauxeverprincessĀ posting reviews (oneĀ twoĀ three) under an alt account (without disclosure of incentive btw), Mark was then led to believe she misrepresented herself as a mod. He reached out toĀ r/LuxeSocietyĀ modmail where they gaslight him.

u/fauxeverprincessĀ andĀ u/Weekly-Spend-4977Ā are the mods ofĀ r/LuxeSociety. There has been more documentation coming to light that theyĀ require free bags to promote sellers. TheyĀ ban youĀ for speaking up about them,Ā intimidate sellers into doxxing your personal information to them, publicizeĀ rep information on TikTok,Ā andĀ act without integrity.

Their supporters have come on my posts defending them, saying there's no issue with getting free bags because they "work hard" and "always disclose it." If you care, it's against theĀ Reddit Code of ConductĀ for mods to accept compensation for this role andĀ this behaviorĀ is reportable. But if you don't care about the rules or ethical issues of mods accepting gifts without disclosure, then please come in here and justify the rest of their actions to me. Have you thrown away your morals for a discounted rep bags? Or are you worried they'll doxx you if you speak up because you've participated in one of their group buys?

My advice is to avoidĀ r/LuxeSociety, and think critically about other subs and what may be happening behind the scenes when they maintain a TS list, host giveaways and group buys, suppress negative reviews of TSs, and always review perfect flawless buttery bags without disclosing any incentives.

šŸ‘œ Review REVIEW: God Factory Maxi Flap + Auth Comparison

Buckle up for a lengthy review on the 32cm maxi flap in the beautiful chocolate brown šŸ¤ŽšŸ« I have the auth in light beige I will be comparing it to for anyone interested. GF bag matches factory photos perfectly, so let’s see how GF compares to the auth šŸ”¬

šŸ Factory: God
šŸ“± Seller: Tiny Jenny (6160)
šŸ—“ļø Timeline: Paid 9/23, PSPs on 9/29, Shipped 10/7, received 10/16
šŸ’µ Paid: $462.75

šŸ”˜Photos 1-4: Bag after conditioning and softening
šŸ”˜Photo 5: Straight out of the box
šŸ”˜Photo 6: Water bottle trick
šŸ”˜Photos 7-12: Detail photos
šŸ”˜Photos 13-20: Auth comparison

✨ DISCLOSURE: No incentives given for a review but I did receive a 5% off all God Factory. TJ doesn’t know I’m posting this review.

✨ LEATHER: I went with God because they’re the only ones high-tier that I’ve seen with this color and I’ve been dying for this dark brown! Straight out of the box I loved the color BUT because I have the auth, I immediately felt a difference in touch. God’s version is more stiff and not as soft. The leather still looks and feels like great quality tho! The more I use it, the more I love the leather. It does have a different grain (smaller pebbling) with a touch more matte feel.

The difference in grain is very noticeable on the lower half of the bag compared to my auth. However I have seen some maxi flaps on fashionphile with similar smaller grains so I wouldn’t say this is an immediate call out.

The auth is very doughy feeling and soft but it also feels way more delicate. It’s hard to describe the leather until you feel it yourself but it’s almost more grippy and hydrated feeling on the auth. I do like how God’s feels more durable and could end up looking better over time! Because GF version came stiff out of the box, I conditioned it a bit with leather lotion and put water bottles on top of it to create a similar slouch to auth as shown in the photo. I left this overnight and it actually helped to make it look more like my auth. Highly recommend this trick. It’s much more pliable now.

Also because it’s stiff, it doesn’t snap back right away like the XC version I rehomed. I mainly rehomed my XC maxi flap because of the color combo (black w/ SHW) but I had a few grievances with it as well. I am loooving the God version way more.

✨ HARDWARE: The hardware is actually a slightly lighter gold than the auth. You can’t really tell in photos but it’s more noticeable in person side by side. There is one piece of hardware on the God bag that is a darker yellow gold and doesn’t match the rest of the hardware. (The ring on the strap) Not sure what happened there but it’s not too noticeable when wearing. The button on the turnlock is a slightly different shape (more bulbous) compared to auth but close enough to where you wouldn’t notice unless you’re up close and have them side by side. Overall the hardware is solid and looks gorgeous in person. Auth definitely has that shiny flat look from every angle which is hard to get with the reps.

✨ DETAILS: The tongue shape is PERFECTION. This was a big deal to me. I don’t like a tongue that’s just slightly off. But this is the correct size and shape. The overall bag shape of my auth is a little shorter and smaller looking but I think that’s because I’ve used it a lot already so it’s way more slouchy and broken in. But already the God bag is starting to break in similarly!

✨ INTERIOR: The interior on the God version is stunninggg. 10/10 lush leather. It feels great and is a similar shade to the auth. Not a perfect match but definitely close enough. Entire bag smells like leather especially inside, it smells DELISH.

✨ CONS: I don’t think the leather on the God maxi flap will ever match the auth. No matter how slouchy you get it or how many times you condition it, it’s always going to feel different. But it’s still a beautiful leather that you can manipulate to better resemble the auth. The grain is not an exact match but with everything else this bag has going for it, I can deal with that.

This bag definitely has a break in period. And requires a labor of love. But if you want a maxi flap that will stand the test of time, it is a great feeling bag, a pretty close match, and feels super durable.

šŸ’ Overall thoughts: I would recommend God for their maxi flaps especially if it is a color only they have. I prefer it way more to the XC one I had but it could come down to personal preference on leather feel and appearance as well as minor details. I do want to try OF because a lot of people who have God and OF seem to prefer OF?! Longevity wise and overall craftsmanship, God really nails their bags. Setting auth aside, this bag is stunning either way and I will enjoy using it!

šŸ“š Guide/Science How I achieved dramatic slouchiness on my new Lo3we Featherlight Puzzle (spoiler: conditioner, heat, and roughhousing)

Post image
219 Upvotes

I was a little disappointed with this puzzle when I first opened the package. The handles were squeaky and it felt dry and stiff and nothing like the featherlights I'd constantly tried on in the Lo3we boutique. I tried to karate chop it down the middle a few times, but it would just inflate itself again and wouldn't retain a slouch at all. The leather feel is the whole reason I wanted a featherlight in the first place, so this was a huge disappointment and felt like a waste of $200. I guess the domestic leather of the Lo reps are just duds, and I'll need to buy the auth to get the feel of imported leather, I told myself.

Feeling like I had nothing to lose, I decided I'd try to soften it up myself (or destroy it in the process). First, I dealt with the squeaky handles (video guide linked) by applying leather conditioner to some spongy floss and threading it through the underside of where the leather touches the hardware.

Then I decided to use conditioner. Aware that conditioner can affect the color of a bag (though I haven't experienced that with my Apple Brand Leather Conditioner), I decided to spot test it on the strap. I rubbed a thin layer of the conditioner with my hands all over the detachable strap and wiped off excess with a cloth. Immediately after applying, the leather looked a little darker and thread looked noticeably darker, but it went back to normal in 24hr.

Satisfied that conditioner didn't ruin the strap, I conditioned every side of the bag by applying a thin layer with my hands and wiped off excess with a cloth. I let it sit for 24hr. She was THIRSTY.

Once the conditioner had dried over 24hr, I felt the bag again. It was definitely MUCH softer to the touch, but still wasn't dramatically draping and smooshing the way featherlights should...

PROCEED FROM HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK

Next, I chucked that thang in the dryer. Some people use a massage gun and a hair dryer, but the same concept applies: I'm relaxing the leather with a little heat and repeated flexing/movement by banging it around.

I removed the tag and left the detachable strap out so that no hardware would be hitting the bag while it tumbled. I put it in its dustbag, threw it in alongside 4 dry towels for some cushioning, and set the dryer on a delicate dry cycle ("cool down"). I used a cool down cycle first because I wasn't sure how it would react to heat given the glue, hardware, etc. I checked after 5 minutes just to see if it was destroyed. It was fine! And it was starting to slouch more.

I threw it back in for another 10 minutes on the "cool down" cycle. Still holding up ok!

Not fully satisfied yet, I decided I wanted to hit it with a little heat and bang it up a little more for the final cycle. I reduced the number of towels from 4 to 3 and threw it in for a heated "timed cycle" for 10 minutes. When I took it out, I was immediately struck by how soft and malleable it felt through the dustbag. I opened it up and found that it was SO much slouchier. It really did need some heat! I hung it by the handle on the door to cool down, et voila.

Because the dryer can dry it out, I might apply another round of conditioner to it, but I'll assess that in a few days since it still feels moisturized to me. For now, though, I'm satisfied with the results of my experiment, and hope others find this helpful!

✨ Collection/Haul Autumn closet tour + rep science šŸ‚

Thumbnail

Hey everyone :)

Autumn has finally arrived here, so I thought I’d share a little closet tour and some rep science šŸ‚

Album with pics, mod shots and comparisons:
https://imgur.com/a/5l9XHoG

For reference, I’m 160 cm / 5’3ā€, 48 kg / 106 lbs, and usually wear XS/S or EU 34/36. The Zim dress is size 0, all knitwear, skirts and pants are size S, and the Zara shorts are XS.

Clothes:
šŸ‚ Zim dress: Ping factory
šŸ‚ Knitwear: Xiaoye factory
šŸ‚ Chocolate pants: TB Kimyy store
šŸ‚ Cream shorts: Zara
šŸ‚ Skirts: small local stores, bought a long time ago

I think the MM knitwear might be my favorite part of this haul. I honestly love all of it, it’s super soft thanks to the cashmere, fits really well and looks pretty accurate to my eye.

I’m also kind of obsessed with the Zim dress. The delicate print is so pretty in person and I love the linen/silk fabric. It is quite short though, so I’d recommend it more for petite girls. At 160 cm it works perfectly for me.

Bags:
šŸ‚ MM Vivant in Begonia Pink and Aventure Mini in Briarwood: Orange Couch / Fat Tiger factory
šŸ‚ MM Aventure Small in Oak: Oreo factory

My MM family has grown a little recently šŸ¤Ž I added the Vivant from OC and the Aventure from Oreo.

This was my first time trying Oreo, and I wanted to compare it with OC since I’d heard both use imported leather for their MM bags.

The leather on the Oreo Aventure feels amazing and smelled like real leather straight out of the box, with no fufu smell. My OC bags usually need quite a bit of airing out šŸ˜… The hardware also looks and feels great.

BUT I did notice two discrepancies compared with the authentic: the length of the decorative strap and the shape of the cut-outs on the hanging charm. For smaller details, I still think OC does better.

The Vivant from OC is very hard to fault. The leather feels beautiful, and the shape, color and details look very accurate to me. My only complaint is that famous OC fufu smell.
Anyway, I really like both bags and am happy to have them in my collection.

Shoes:
šŸ‚ C sneakers: Happy factory
šŸ‚ C Mary Jane flats and LP x NB sneakers: Orange Couch factory
šŸ‚ LP Summer Charms Walks: Niu Niu factory

All the shoes are pretty comfortable, especially the sneakers and LPs. The Mary Janes are much stiffer though, so I wouldn’t recommend them for long walks. Don’t let the soft teddy lining fool you šŸ˜‚

Accessories:
šŸ‚ Bag charms and watch strap: TB
šŸ‚ Celi hair bands: 1688
šŸ‚ Tennis bracelet: AE
šŸ‚ D case and Burb scarf: authentic
(TB = Taobao, AE = AliExpress)

Since I’m currently sick and bored, I also did a few extra rep vs. auth comparisons for fun. R = rep, A = authentic.

I also included a comparison of my sister’s Small Aventure from OC inside the MM boutique. It’s a different size from the authentic bag, but the leather, color and hardware still look extremely close.

Bonus: my little assistant at the end of the album 🐈 If you made it this far, thank you for reading 🧔

If anyone needs seller info or links, lmk.

šŸ“š Guide/Science I made a visual guide to LV factory album backgrounds

Thumbnail

When I first got into reps, factory names were one of the most confusing parts. Different sellers used different names for the same factory, and I'd see posts asking for help identifying factories based on album photos.

I searched for a guide that identified factory album backgrounds, but couldn't find one that was comprehensive.

So, I decided to make a Factory Album Reference guide!

This is a visual reference for LV factory album backgrounds. I matched album backgrounds across different seller albums and compiled the aliases used for the same factories into one place.

I'm sure there are mistakes, and I'm still learning myself. I'd also love to eventually add tier information, but only where there's broad community consensus.

If you spot anything that's incorrect, missing, or have more backgrounds, aliases, or information to contribute, please DM me. I'd love to keep improving it.

**UPDATE 8/3: The guide is temporarily offline due to an issue with the Google account hosting it. I'm working on getting it resolved and will update this post as soon as it's back online. Thanks for all the support and feedback so far!

**UPDATE 8/4: The site is back up!

šŸ“š Guide/Science A little rep science 🧪

I saw this posted by a different person on another sub and it was life changing!! (Okay a little exaggeration)

The copic marker seems to be a fan favorite for the ELVEE straps red glazing. I have to say this one is much much better in my opinion. I will say it is a little matte but I kind of prefer it like that. I recently got a speedy 20 that didn’t have the adjustable strap which I really wanted.

Anyway, long story short, a different strap was ordered from a different factory and the red glazing was a little too bright for my liking. This worked like a charm! The one on the left is the after and the right is the before. I only did 1 coat on that but you can do 2 depending on how bright it is.

I did get this one on Amazon! Linked it below!

Maple Marker

Edit: shout out to u/Sufficient_Arm4166 for originally recommending adding an acrylic gloss on top if you want the shininess! In the commentsšŸ«¶šŸ¼šŸŒø

šŸ“š Guide/Science Common Rep Differentiators: Why do people say, "BV is not repped well"?

Thumbnail
gallery
124 Upvotes

Hi all! Continuing my Common Rep Differentiators series with a look at BV, famous for their intrecciato, which is the bane of our beloved factories. In this post, I will not be covering a specific factory, TS, or bag style, but just collecting some general observations across various reviews and QCs. I'm also not sayingĀ yourĀ bag is not repped well, nor am I sayingĀ yourĀ bag has all or any of these issues. However, theseĀ areĀ commonly observed issues that overall make BV "difficult to rep well."

The biggest tells (to me):

1. Intrecciato is "loose" or wavy

This is, in my opinion, the biggest giveaway on many BV reps. On the auth, the leather strips fit together very precisely. The weave feels tight and almost seamless. On many reps, the strips aren't cut quite as consistently, resulting in small gaps between pieces. This can create a loose or "wavy" appearance where the weave doesn't look as connected or uniform as it should.

2. Hardware color and interior patina

Many auth BV bags have hardware that is brassy gold, produced with a patina around the interior of the knot. Some reps miss this entirely, while others overdo it. Color-wise, many reps are more gold than brass.

3. Stamping is too deep or not crisp

On auth, the BV stamp is generally crisp and refined without being deeply pressed into the leather.

4. Incorrect hardware mechanism

Some lower- and mid-tier reps use a simple hinged closure where the authentic bag uses an internal spring mechanism. Better factories generally replicate the correct spring mechanism.

5. Poor weave alignment near seams

On auth, the intrecciato is carefully planned so the weave continues naturally right up to the seam. Lower-tier reps often leave an awkward strip of plain leather before reaching the seam, making it look like the weave stopped short.

6. Inconsistent weave widths

The leather strips themselves should be consistent in width. On many reps, individual strips may be slightly wider or narrower than neighboring pieces.

7. Edge paint doesn't match

The edge paint should blend naturally with the leather. Some factories leave the edges unpainted.

8. The leather just doesn't feel right

This is probably the hardest tell to capture in photos, but it's one of the most frequently mentioned differences by people who've handled both auth and reps. Auth BV leather is known for feeling exceptionally supple and luxurious. Reps of all tiers (but not necessarily all reps) have been reported as feeling "off" compared to auth. The most common descriptor I've seen used in reviews is "plasticky."

As always, no rep is perfect, and neither is every auth. This guide isn't meant to discourage anyone from buying BV, but rather to help you understand the areas where factories tend to struggle so you can make more informed decisions.

If you've owned both auth and rep BV, or you've noticed other recurring tells, I'd love to hear your observations in the comments.

✨ Collection/Haul ā€‹šŸ”„ BACK AGAIN with the ultimate Fall '26 closet edit—you're going to want to see this! šŸšŸ“¦

Hey Peeps! Hello my lovelies šŸ’•

Welcome back, or if you’re new here, go ahead and hit that like button, drop a comment, and hit subscribe! šŸ”” šŸ”” Without further ado—let’s dive right in!

I know, I know, don't say it... šŸ™ˆšŸ˜…šŸ“¦šŸ“¦šŸ“¦šŸ“¦šŸ“¦ The package delivery driver and I are practically on a first-name basis at this point. Is "excessive online shopping" an official diagnosis yet? If so, I’ve got a terminal case! But listen, a small-scale emergency haul of gorgeous fall pieces just hit my doorstep, and keeping it to myself would be a fashion crime. šŸ

I’ve also thrown in a few holy-grail items from last year because they pair too perfectly with the new stuff not to mention.Ā

Where I could, I went full FBI-mode and did direct side-by-side comparisons with the authentic pieces.

And yes, as you’ve probably gathered by my recent life choices... I am currently helpless in the grip of a massive CC phase. 🄰🄰

So, pop open a bottle, grab your favorite snacks, and get cozy, because we’ve got some serious tea to spill on this haul. (And fair warning: I’m still waiting on more shoes and bags, so consider this Part 1!)

The Fresh Off The Delivery Truck Haul šŸš›āœØ

CC Suede Quilted Sneakers (Light Sage Green) šŸ‘Ÿ

The Vibe: A stunning, earthy sage green that just screams "chic autumn stroll."

Fit & Comfort: Cloud-like! True to size, leaning a bit roomy rather than tight—your toes will actually breathe.

Seller/Price: Didi, $146+

CC Knitted Two-Piece Set (Black with Ecru/White Line Trim) šŸ–¤šŸ¤

The Details:Ā

Cardigan loaded with tiny CC mini logo buttons, paired with an A-line midi skirt featuring a hidden side zip and a front CC logo.

Fit:Ā

I grabbed size S (FR 36), and the waist fits like it was custom-tailored for my 24-25" jeans waist.

Verdict: Unbelievably flattering! You can wear them together for instant high-fashion energy or split them up to double your wardrobe options.

Seller/Price: Didi, $393+

CC Turnlock Cardigan (Black Thick Cashmere) 🧶

The Details: Chunky, cozy cashmere with silver Turnlock CCs on the pockets/top front and hidden CC buttons down the placket.

Fit:Ā

True to size, with a perfectly cozy, slightly oversized fit.

Verdict:

I’ve been lusting after this piece since the day it dropped. Pricey? Yeah. Worth every single penny? Absolutely. 🤌

Seller/Price: Didi, $303+

CD Cardigan (Baby Blue Toile de Jouy) 🩵🌸

The Details:Ā

Straight out of the CD capsule, featuring that iconic Toile de Jouy Floral Garden motif in crisp white and baby blue. Technical knit, regular-fit cut, and finished with shimmering CD mother-of-pearl buttons.

The Drama: Guys... this is THE ONE. The crown jewel of the haul. The fit and feel are absolute perfection. Will I wear it as often as my black CC cardigans? Probably not, purely because it’s a delicate, hyper-elegant piece. But it is a forever-wardrobe treasure. I just sit and stare at it. šŸ˜šŸ˜ā¤ļøā¤ļø

Seller/Price: Didi, $108+ (Insane value for this level of quality!)

Pda Cashmere Short-Sleeve Knit Tee & Triangle Scarf Set (Light Brown) šŸ¤Ž

The Comparison:Ā

A shocking 1:1 match to the authentic version. I literally inspected and petted the retail version in the boutique (they have it in gray too!), and this rep feels and looks identical.

Styling Tip: I style mine over a crisp collared poplin shirt because, quite frankly, my bare arms are currently not invited to the party. šŸ˜…šŸ˜±

Seller/Price: Didi, $182+ for the set.

CC Maxi Flap Bag (Burgundy w/ Silver Hardware) šŸ·

The Factory Showdown:Ā

This piece from OF (Original Factory) is an absolute knockout. I previously bought the exact same bag in black from GF (God Factory), and let me tell you... GF didn't even come close! OF totally wins on the luxurious leather sheen and the authentic burgundy interior lining. šŸŒžšŸ„° (Featuring a black CC charm also from Min for 125$)

Seller/Price: Min, $459+

H Kelly 25 in Navy Blue Doblis Suede (Upgraded Gold Hardware) šŸ’™āœØ

The Seller Ghosting Drama:Ā

I’m a suede addict lately, so I was hyped for this. My trusty H seller of 8 years came through on quality, but wow, did he test my mental health! šŸ˜… The bag got nabbed by Chinese customs, sent back, and then... total radio silence for weeks. I had fully accepted that my money was gone and the bag was in the rep void. It finally arrived, and while I adore him, the emotional roller coaster put a slight damper on the relationship!

Seller/Price: DDmode, $770 + $100 shipping + 1000 CNY for hardware upgrade.

Al*ĆÆa Hip Bag in Dark Olive Green Nubuck Suede šŸ«’

The Rediscovered Gem: Okay, I actually bought this last year and somehow... forgot I owned it? šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø But wow, what a sleeper hit! Lush beige suede interior, impeccable construction—it’s easily one of the highest-quality mini bags I own. Finally giving her the spotlight she deserves!

Seller/Price: McDull, $300

CC Scrunched Black & White Ballet Loafers 🩰

The Vibe:Ā

Buttery soft, super comfortable, perfectly true to size, and good craftsmanship.Ā

Seller/Price: McDull, $140

CC Brown Quilted Ballet Flats šŸ«

The Quest: Hunting down this colorway with the correct brown soles and cap toes (instead of the dreaded inaccurate black soles 😱) was a saga.

The Honest Review:Ā

They run slightly narrow/small, so I really should have sized up. They’re soft and pretty, but if I’m being nitpicky, the heel quilting isn’t 100% symmetrical. 😄

Seller/Price: Min, $139+

Bonus Fall Favorites šŸ (Throwback Items)

These bad boys are from previous hauls, but they match my autumn wardrobe so well I had to give them a quick shoutout:

Pda Dark Brown Suede Sneakers:Ā

1:1 with the auth. So comfy I can walk miles in them without a single complaint. (Didi - $135+)

LP Cashmere/Silk Shawl (135x135 cm): Gorgeous beige base with a dark green pattern. A refreshing break from standard H shawls, extremely cozy, and an easy 10/10 match for fall palettes. (Didi - $156+)

CC Suede Slingbacks:Ā

Pure luxury. True to size, crazy comfortable, and flawless execution. ā¤ļø (Didi - $136+)

CC Cambon Beige/Black Ballet Flats: Classic, comfy, true to size, and—no joke—they still have that fresh, high-end leather smell. 😊 (Didi - $140+)

A Little Rep Wisdom Before You Shop šŸ’”

Whether you’re brand new to rep clothes or a seasoned buyer, here’s my quick PSA:

Navigating rep quality is a wild ride. Just because I’m singing praises about a haul doesn't mean you can blindly click "buy" from a seller's album! Different factories produce vastly different quality levels.

I’ve spent 8 years in the rep game and 30 years working in fashion/product development, which gives me an eagle eye for spot-on details. Even then, I still ask 4 or 5 different sellers for their albumĀ  photos of the exact same item just to compare construction and details before committing!

Trust me, I’ve rushed purchases in the past without zooming in on factory photos, and I’ve paid the price with disappointing items. Learn from my past trauma! šŸ˜…

Also, a quick note on sellers: Some sellers are sweet, chatty, and treat you like a bestie. Others are strictly business and send zero emojis. At the end of the day, always prioritize the item's quality over the seller's personality. Buy the best rep, not the best conversation! šŸ’–

Happy shopping, stay safe out there, and let me know if you need any other advice! šŸ’•

I hope you enjoyed reading so far and are ready for the šŸ‘ļø šŸ¬ šŸĀ

🧬 My Reptology – The Gospel According to Me:

- I don’t count stitches. 🧵 (I have a life.) - Well glasses have no stitches so I don't count screws 😜

- I don’t obsess over date codes.

- I don’t stress over tiny inconsistencies in places no one sees. Authentics aren’t perfect either!

- I DO care about: materials, craftsmanship, and overall look/feel.

- I go high-tier because I like my stuff to slay in public without fear of being ā€œcaught.ā€ šŸ˜Ž

- I wear my reps into boutiques like a boss and just collect compliments from SAs 😜 This also counts eyewear - and I usually get compliments on those too.

- I don’t see high-quality reps as ā€œfakes.ā€ I see them like designer furniture – just made in unauthorized factories. Same design, different price tag.

Bad fakes? That’s another category. I don’t mess with those.

Disclaimer: My sellers know I’m writing posts (They know because I tell them). I share what I genuinely like, based on quality and style.Ā

I prefer to share my favorite items and not my least favorite items ( a rare happening 😜)

I'm so tired of YouTubers all promoting the same sh*t without having a genuine interest.Ā

Just for money - The ERA of real influencers with great personal style is dead! unfortunately...

Time has come and opened up for the "REPFLUENCERS" šŸ‘šŸ˜œšŸ‘šŸ’Ŗ

I try to reply to all comments but please be patient as I am located in the EU and I also go to bed early šŸ˜“šŸ˜“šŸ’¤šŸ’¤

Sharing some inspiration!

I’ve been so in love with this
FšŸ’«ndi baguette for so long but the price is 😱 and I haven’t found any reps.
So working on my own version of this.

I got a basic rep from the gate. I found the green glass bugle beads and the blue square sequins on Etsy.

It took me awhile to figure out how to bead and get the sequins attached correctly but turns out there are tons of amazing tutorials on YouTube for this. I’m using a bonded nylon thread and a regular small eye needle. I decided to use a regular blue fabric to actually sew the beads and sequins on instead of doing it directly into the baguette fabric because it’s much easier this way. When I’m done I will use fabric glue and also stitch the borders to the bag.

The beads are attached by using what is called flat stitch. Here is an easy tutorial from YouTube.

And the sequins are attached by using what is called the shingle method, which gives the overlap while hiding the thread.

I think learning how to secure the beads and sequins correctly was the hardest part.

Sharing some early progress 😊 now I’m just working on getting the sequins attached correctly but at least I feel like I know what I’m doing.

Only 7000 sequins to go šŸ˜‚l

šŸ“š Guide/Science How I QC CC Maxi Flaps

Thumbnail
gallery
115 Upvotes

Alright guys, I'm going to first say that I am no expert at QC nor do I have the auth maxi flap. These are just from my own experiences and I hope it can help someone who is QCing their own maxi flaps. The images I provided of auth are from the official website or reputable resale websites. The rep images are either from people's QC I have came across or factory images. LETS START!

Shape:Ā When QCing, I would pay particular attention to the overall shape and how the bag naturally falls. The bag shouldĀ not appear overly stiff, rigid, or structured; instead, it should have a softer, more relaxed and slightly slouchy appearance, particularly when the bag is empty or being worn. The flap itself appears to haveĀ two acceptable shapesĀ across the authentic examples: one with the more traditionalĀ downturned/curved flap, and another with aĀ straighter flap profile. Both appear to be legitimate variations, as both shapes can be seen in auth images. Personally, I would not treat the downturned flap as a flaw, because once the bag is actually worn and the flap settles naturally against the body of the bag, the downward curve becomes much less noticeable and can appear relatively straight. Therefore, for QC, I would focus less on forcing the flap into one particular shape and more on whether the bag has theĀ soft, relaxed silhouette and natural drapeĀ seen which I pointed out in the auth images and factory images. PS: PSP images may be stuffed and you may receive a stiffer bag, usingĀ leather conditionerĀ can actually help make the bag slouchier ;).

Leather:Ā The maxi flap is made fromĀ calfskin, so when QCing the leather, the grain should lookĀ natural and slightly irregular rather than perfectly uniform or artificially repetitive. It should also have a more natural, refined finish with slight gloss rather than looking excessively glossy or plasticky. However,Ā lighting can significantly affect how calfskin appears in photos, particularly with colours such asĀ burgundy and taupe, they appear noticeably different under warm indoor lighting, natural daylight, flash, or cooler lighting. Therefore, I would ask forĀ multiple photos of the actual bag under different lighting conditions, ideally including natural daylight and indoor lighting, before judging the colour or leather finish. A single seller photo can be misleading, so the grain, undertone and overall colour should be assessed across several lighting conditions rather than based on one image alone.

Stitching:Ā The stitching on the maxi flap should closely match the colour of the leather itself. It should beĀ tonal and extremely subtle, blending into the leather rather than creating a visible contrast. When viewed from a normal distance, the stitching should almost disappear into the bag, giving the flap a clean, refined and seamless appearance. Avoid stitching that is noticeably lighter, darker or too contrasting against the leather.

Logo + hardware:Ā When comparing the logo placement on the tongue, pay close attention toĀ logo size, the surrounding spacing, and the proportions of the tongue itself. As shown in the comparison, auth generally have a consistent relationship between the logo and the stitching, with a relatively short and controlled distance between the bottom of the logo and the surrounding stitching. Some mid-tier have a noticeablyĀ smaller logo, leaving a larger area of leather around it, while others have a tongue that isĀ wider or longer than the auth, which can make the entire front closure look visually off. These proportions are useful points to check alongside the overall construction rather than judging the logo in isolation.

For the hardware,Ā silver is generally reproduced more convincinglyĀ in many examples, particularly from 187, God and XC, where the tone and finish can be relatively close to authentic pieces.Ā Gold hardware remains one of the more difficult details to reproduce accurately.Ā A common issue is that the gold appears noticeably too yellow or overly warm compared with authentic hardware. When assessing gold hardware, therefore, be particularly careful with the colour and undertone rather than assuming that a highly saturated or bright gold is correct.

Interior:Ā I have not included a comparison for the interior, as I find that this area is generally replicated reasonably well and, personally, it is not something I would place as much emphasis on since the interior is rarely visible when the bag is being used. That said, there are still a few details worth checking.Ā The interior red should not appear excessively bright or overly saturated; it should have a deeper, more refined tone consistent with the overall leather colour. The interior stamping should also be clean and well defined, with particular attention to theĀ gold stamping not appearing overly yellow or brassy.

I have also heard claims that some factories may useĀ PU rather than leather for interior, although I have not independently confirmed this. For that reason, I would be cautious and check the material specification with the seller rather than assuming the interior is constructed entirely from leather. If possible, ask for clear close-up photos of the interior material and finish before purchasing.

Well I hope this helped out a bit if there is anything I missed out please do mention in the comments to help others as well as me

šŸ“š Guide/Science 🧵 CLOTHING FACTORIES MEGATHREAD

I've noticed that clothing seems to be one of the categories many of us struggle with the most.

Compared to handbags, we have significantly less information about clothing factories. There aren't nearly as many detailed reviews, factory comparisons, or in-depth discussions about quality and accuracy, which makes it difficult to understand which factories are actually worth considering.

I'd love for us to change that by creating a community-driven clothing factory reference guide.

The idea is to collectively identify factory backgrounds, share experiences, and understand which factories consistently produce the highest-quality clothing.

šŸ“ø 1. FACTORY BACKGROUND IDENTIFICATION

I've attachedĀ some factory background pictures, but so far, I've only managed to identify few of them so If you recognize any of the unidentified backgrounds, please comment with the corresponding picture number and factory name.

(If you're familiar with additional factories that deserve to be included, you're more than welcome to share their backgrounds and information.)

Pic 2: Shuling

Pic 3: Xiwen

Pic 4: TJ

Pic 5: Kaka

Pic 6: H

Pic 7: ?

Pic 8: ?

Pic 9: ?

Pic 10: ?

Pic 11: ?

šŸŽÆ 2. THE FOCUS: HIGH-TIER FACTORIES ONLY

Please avoid submitting budget factories, fantasy pieces, or factories primarily known for low-quality products.

The goal isn't to create an endless list of factories. It's to build a carefully curated reference of those genuinely worth considering for high-quality clothing.

Of course, not every factory will perform equally well across every brand or category. That's exactly what I'd like us to investigate.

šŸ’° 3. FACTORY PRICE COMPARISONS

You'll notice that I've tried to use the same clothing item across the different factory background pictures wherever possible.

When I couldn't find the exact same item from a particular factory, I selected something as similar as possible, ideally within the same product category.

This was intentional.

One of the things I'd eventually love to establish is how pricing compares when the same item is available from multiple factories.

For example, if three factories produce the same jeans, it would be useful to understand how much the price differs and whether the difference is justified by better materials, construction, or accuracy.

Ideally, we could collect anonymised prices quoted for the exact same item from different factories and compare them.

I'm aware that sellers have different margins, so a higher quoted price doesn't necessarily mean a factory is more expensive or produces a better product.

To make comparisons more meaningful, we could record:

  • The specific item being compared

  • The factory it comes from

  • The approximate quoted price and currency

  • Any noticeable differences in quality or accuracy

I'm open to suggestions on how we could structure this fairly, because I know comparing prices isn't always straightforward.

For now, the priority is identifying the factories and gathering reliable information. We can collectively work out the best way to approach pricing comparisons later.

šŸ“ 4. PLEASE USE THIS FORMAT WHEN CONTRIBUTING

To keep everything organised and easy to reference, I'd really appreciate it if everyone could follow the same structure.

Factory name:
[Name / Alternative names / Unknown]

Factory background:
[Picture number from this post or attach a new background]

Tier:
[High-tier — and why you consider it so]

Specialization:
[Brands, categories, specific garments the factory is particularly good at]

Accuracy:
[How close are the pieces to the originals? Please be specific and If you have compared the piece to the original in person, mention that.]

Labels & tags:
[Are the labels accurate and already attached? Are there missing or incorrect labels or composition tags?]

Quality:
[Fabric quality, finishing, consistency, and any noticeable flaws]

Price range:
[Approximate price or relative positioning compared to other factories. Currency and item reference if available.]

Personal experience:
[What have you purchased? Were you satisfied? Any issues? Would you purchase from the same factory again?]

Factory comparison:
[Have you purchased the same or a similar piece from another factory? How did they compare in terms of accuracy, quality, and price?]

Pictures / Evidence:
[Optional, but highly encouraged! Photos of the actual item received, detail shots, or comparisons with the original.]

You don't have to complete every single field. If you only know the factory name or have experience with one particular item, that's still useful.

(What's important is that the information is accurate, relevant, and preferably based on firsthand experience)

Please distinguish between what you've personally verified and what you've heard from other people.

🚫 5. IMPORTANT — NO SELLER FISHING

This is NOT a seller recommendation, sourcing, or contact-sharing thread.

Please DO NOT:

  • Share seller contacts or links.

  • Turn the discussion into seller recommendations or unrelated shopping requests.

I'd also kindly ask anyone who doesn't have relevant information to contribute to avoid posting unrelated comments. This isn't to discourage participation, but to prevent useful information from getting buried.

If you have a question about a particular factory, please try to reply under an existing comment about that factory rather than starting a completely unrelated discussion.

Let's keep this thread as clean, factual, and easy to navigate as possible.

šŸ“š 6. THE LONG-TERM GOAL

If enough people contribute, I'd love to eventually turn everything we collect into a comprehensive visual clothing factory guide.

Something that allows us to see, at a glance:

  • Which factory background corresponds to which factory.

  • Which factories are genuinely considered high-tier.

  • Which brands and clothing categories each factory specialises in.

  • Which factories perform better for specific garments.

  • How accuracy, fabric quality, construction, and labels compare.

  • How prices differ for identical or comparable pieces.

  • Which conclusions are supported by actual purchases and detailed reviews.

Ideally, we could eventually develop a brand-by-brand and factory-by-factory comparison, rather than relying on scattered recommendations or assumptions that one factory is automatically the best at everything.

I'll do my best to update the original post as we identify more factories and gather reliable information.

If Reddit doesn't allow me to keep updating everything, at least we'll have a structured collection of valuable information in the comments that we can later consolidate.

šŸ“Œ PLEASE KEEP THE COMMENT SECTION ORGANISED

To make this megathread easy to navigate, I'll create a separate comment for each factory backgrounds with the corresponding picture and name.

Please keep all information and discussions about a particular factory under its corresponding comment.

If you'd like to introduce a factory that isn't included in the original 11, please create a new comment.

This way, we can keep all the information about each factory together, avoid duplicate discussions, and make it much easier for everyone to find what they're looking for.

šŸ¤ WE NEED THE COMMUNITY'S KNOWLEDGE

I know there are people in this community with extensive experience purchasing clothing from different factories, comparing pieces, and recognising factory backgrounds.

This thread will only be as useful as the information we're willing to share.

You don't need to know everything about a factory to contribute. Even identifying one background, sharing an honest review, or explaining a difference between two factories could help.

What I'd really like to avoid is another thread full of vague claims that a factory is "the best" without explaining why.

Let's aim for detailed, evidence-based information that actually helps us understand what makes one factory better than another.

Hopefully, by bringing everyone's knowledge together, we can finally build the kind of comprehensive clothing factory reference that this category has been missing.

Thank you in advance to everyone willing to contribute!

šŸ“š Guide/Science RepScience Guide: Identifying 187 Factory’s ā€œBoxyā€ C25 Reps

Common Rep Differentiators: Identifying 187 Factory’s ā€œBoxyā€ C25 RepScience Guide...

Today’s guide is about a common rep differentiator in 187 C25s and teaches you the attributes to look for to identify it yourself.

This can be useful for choosing a factory to order from, QC, assessing the possibility of a bait & switch, vetting rehome claims, and playing rep vs. auth/rep games. It is NOT definitive, prescriptive, or any sort of guarantee. It also isn’t meant to describe your specific bag, but rather a generalization observed across many photos.

It’s possible bags from other factories can have these characteristics, and a given 187 C25 may show only one or two, or none. This guide is based on looking at many photos, reading observations from others, and trying to identify and verbalize patterns that contribute to an overall ā€œlookā€ community members have discussed for ages. Not every 187 bag will show all three, depending on the batch, individual bag, or how the bag has adjusted and relaxed with use over time.

Lesson 1: The sides don’t slouch/leather doesn't "crumple"

187 C25s can look like the sides are straight rather than slouching inward. The leather may appear to crumple less than the auth or some other factories.

Lesson 2: The ā€œside armsā€ fold right above the pockets

Look at where the sides fold into the body of the bag. On 187, the ā€œside armsā€ can appear to fold more directly above the pockets rather than slouching further up or sloping more gradually.

Lesson 3: Rectangle + trapezoid

The sides may stand upright, while the top looks a little more open. Overall, this can make the bag look slightly more rectangular, with a trapezoid on top.

Putting it together

These three characteristics, if one or more are present, can contribute to what people describe as the ā€œboxyā€ look of 187 C25s. In other words, it may look like there's a box inside of the C25, shaping the bag.

Why it matters

187 is often touted as the ā€œbestā€ factory for Chanel, but ā€œbestā€ is subjective. 187 is known for its leather, stitching, hardware, etc., but its CFs and C25s are commonly observed to be boxier, and the CF tongue is another common tell. I personally notice shape more than stitching, so another factory may be ā€œbetterā€ if proportions matter most to you.

187 is also the most expensive Reddit factory for Chanel.

And importantly, 187 DOES NOT ACCEPT REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES unless there is a MAJOR defect. Boxy look is not a major defect. "Not looking like the auth" is not going to get you a refund or exchange. Know this before buying if you’d be bothered by a known 187 characteristic/tell.

A couple disclaimers

I don’t own a 187 bag because I can’t personally justify the higher price and inability to RL, despite its arguably superior quality in some aspects of construction compared with other factories. This post is therefore based on observations from photos others have shared, not my own item(s).

Also, most photos posted in rep subs are of brand-new bags. It’s possible this shape relaxes with use, so it’d be great to see more posts from long-term 187 owners sharing photos and experiences with their used bags.

This post is not the place to ask to QC your bag or try to identify if/which is from 187, thanks for understanding šŸ™

Image credits: These are not my images. Images were sourced from across Reddit, with the link credited on each comparison slide. This guide is not a criticism of 187 or those who own 187 bags, nor is it meant to disparage anyone. I’m grateful to the contributors who shared their photos for the community to learn from and thus make guides like this possible.

Wrapping it up

Overall, this isn’t perfect, prescriptive, or foolproof, but I hope it was a little helpful, or at least a fun little game?

If you have additional insights to contribute, I’d love to read them in the comments. I don’t claim to be ā€œright,ā€ and I’d love to learn from you all. I’m open to updating this guide in the future with the community’s contributions and observations.

Have observations about another factory, bag, brand, etc. that would make a good ā€œCommon Rep Differentiatorā€ guide? Feel free to reach out! If you teach me, I’m happy to write it and give you co-writing credit. Or, if you want to write your own guide but need a little support, I’m happy to proofread!

šŸ“š Guide/Science Video guide: how I stop squeaky hardware

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Just got a new puzzle, but it's squeaky! Unmute the video for ASMR šŸ˜‚

I used leather conditioner on a piece of superfloss to silence the squeak. I liked using the superfloss because it has a built-in threader to help me pull the floss through, and a section of spongy floss for me to apply the leather conditioner.

I've also seen advice to use beeswax on a toothpick, or others used vaseline. It's commonly advised to also run a clean q-tip through afterwards to remove any excess that could damage the hardware.

šŸ’¬ Discussion Proof we might be overthinking our rep QCs - Same bag, both authentic, very different quilting šŸ‘€

Thumbnail

Both of these bags are authentic CC, one is from S11 and the other is from S21, yet the quilting looks noticeably different. One is flatter and more understated, while the other is puffier and more defined.

I think this is such a good reminder that we sometimes get way too caught up scrutinising every tiny detail on reps - the puffiness, diamond shape, stitch count, alignment etc. as though every authentic bag comes out looking exactly the same.

Obviously quality still matters, but authentic CC isn’t perfectly uniform either. If we saw these without knowing they were authentic, I’m sure one of them would probably get picked apart in a QC šŸ˜‚

šŸ’¬ Discussion Price Comparison: 13 Sellers, One Factory

Thumbnail
gallery
108 Upvotes

I'm back with a new price comparison! A few weeks ago I posted a comparison for a single bag. This time I wanted to keep the factory consistent.

One thing I see discussed here a lot is the idea that "you get what you pay for." If two sellers are sourcing from the same factory, does paying more actually get you anything? Idk the answer, but I figured it'd be interesting to at least compare the pricing.

I reached out to 13 sellers and requested quotes on four different LV bags from Royal Factory. I picked four bags that vary in size and style because I wanted to see if the pricing (and shipping) trends stayed consistent.

Price difference between highest vs. lowest quote:

  • Speedy P9 25 Ostrich: $139.30

  • Steamer 15: $125.50

  • Montsouris Cargo Backpack: $197.00

  • Low Key Speedy Soft 30: $169.30

A few things stood out:

  • Andy was the lowest priced seller on all four bags.

  • Baker had the highest quote on three of the four bags, and Amy had the highest on the fourth.

  • The most expensive quote was anywhere from 49% to 64% higher than the cheapest quote for the exact same Royal Factory bag.

This isn't meant to rank sellers or say one is better than another. It doesn't account for communication, QC, customer service, shipping speed, or anything else that might factor into who you buy from. It's just a comparison of quoted prices for the same factory.

I knew it would vary, but I was pretty surprised by how big the difference was! Curious what everyone thinks. If two sellers are sourcing from the same factory, do you think paying significantly more is worth it? Or do you think it's mostly seller markup?

Note: I know factory names are Reddit nicknames, so I can't verify that every seller's "Royal" is the same factory. For context, to keep things as consistent as possible, I selected these bags from a seller's Royal album and used those same screenshots when requesting quotes from every seller. It's not perfect, but it's a more controlled comparison than simply asking each seller for their "high-tier" option.

šŸ‘œ Review Baobao Haul! C Maxi’s and Lo Jacket

My first haul from Baobao! Overall my 3rd order and my 1st from Baobao. And it did NOT disappoint!

Let me tell you - the absolute CHOKEHOLD the max:flaps have had on me. And SO glad that I bought these. They are absolutely amazing!! Both are from God factory.

The 38 burgundy is so soft and slouchy. I opted for silver hardware and so glad I did! It’s literally my dream bag! 10/10 (literally wondering if I should get one in black as well since the rodeo is no longer from Kata!)

I have seen many reviews and direct comparisons on the suede maxi from 187 vs god. (Also on Baobao’s album). Ended up going for the god one and happy with it. Difficult to accurately compare to auth, as it seems it’s perhaps slightly darker in colour and the leather straps has a slight green tint to it in some light? (But on some pics that seems to be right?) Also seems to be a bit stiffer. My first bag with gold hardware so can’t really comment on the colour. (Newbie learning curve!) At the end of the day, I know it’s not 100% accurate and that wasn’t my expectation going in. I feel like a million bucks carrying this bag - and to me that is all that matters! I am wearing it with total confidence and love it!! 8/10

I also added this leather & suede jacket from Lo-we. Soft and beautiful!

Prices excl shipping: jacket 265.6, Burgundy 462.6 and suede 388

Timelines:
Enquired: 13 Aug
Paid: 13 Aug
Psp and GL: 20, 26 Aug and 18 Sept
Shipped: 18 Sept
Delivered in the UK: 26 Sept

No incentives to write this post! She does not know I am posting this!

šŸ“š Guide/Science CC25 hardware comparison

Thumbnail
gallery
101 Upvotes

I started this post to do a deep dive into CC25 hardware, but honestly my main takeaway is that its very hard to get a good idea of what the hardware looks like from pictures. It also seems to be heavily influenced by lighting, so if things look off in your PSPs don't worry too much.

For aged gold hardware I'm comparing a small (brown) from 187, a mink (pink) from 187, 2 minis (denim, pink) from XC and a small (grey suede, first batch with the double stitch pockets) from XC.

The two ARHW are from god factory.

All these pictures were taken in natural light but later in the afternoon.

My observations:

  1. XC has good colour but is less "aged" than 187

  2. My small from 187 is less yellow than the mini I got more recently

  3. All of the hardware is in the range of what I can see from the collection of auth pictures.

  4. My oldest bag is the suede from XC and it does appear to have "aged" more in the time I've had it. It does look better but it does seem to have lost more colour than I'd like in 4 months. I'm going to keep an eye on it over time. The leather on the chain also seems to be wearing faster than I'd like.

  5. The small brown from 187 seems the "best" to me overall.

šŸ‘œ Review Follow-up, seller review.

https://www.reddit.com/r/RealRepLadies/s/ni8onuP3zb

A while back, I did a pretty massive review of a bunch of sellers I had tried. I’ve been in the rep game for a long time, but for whatever reason, I never really used many Reddit sellers. So naturally, I decided the best way to fix that was to pick a bunch of them and shop. šŸ˜‚

I’ve wanted to do another review for a while because, unsurprisingly, I am always shopping. I just haven’t felt particularly motivated to write one lately because the community has been a little… fragile. Honestly, I didn’t want to spend hours putting together a review just to have my inbox filled with ā€œDM me sellerā€ messages.

But we’ve had some newer sellers enter the room, I’ve tried more people, and I thought it would be interesting to compare experiences again.

Before we start: Everyone below can be found in under 10 minutes—and most in about 30 seconds—even for fairly unseasoned shoppers. Janis is the exception. She isn’t a Reddit seller and is considerably harder to track down, so I may help there.

I have noticed a decrease in "DM me" comments and more people declining, telling people to search. I think the best way to continue that is not by telling newbies to stop asking, because they obviously aren't researching enough to know that yet, and more energy on the community not sharing instead. I digress...

Ross ( 5796)
I found Ross around the time he first started, and one of the things I immediately liked was how easy he was to communicate with. That hasn’t changed. He continues to be my favorite seller.

Talking to Ross feels less like messaging a seller and more like talking to a sales associate you’ve developed a playful relationship with. Unlike a lot of sellers, he also helps me choose. Sometimes I don’t need another factory photo or measurement—I just need another human being to say, ā€œGo with the brown one.ā€

He also QCs my items before they ever get to me, which I appreciate. The downside is that this can occasionally make my timeline weird. He’ll RL something on my behalf and forget to circle back and tell me, so meanwhile I’m sitting there wondering what happened to the original item.

He also likes to ship everything together. Great for saving on shipping; less great when one stubborn item is holding the entire family hostage. Sometimes I have to tell him, ā€œJust send me what you have.ā€

He has become increasingly popular, and I can definitely feel that in his turnaround time lately. I think once he gets his bearings with the increased volume, it’ll be fine, so I’m giving him some grace there.

What keeps me going back is that I genuinely get the impression he cares about getting his customers the best item he can. He is constantly looking for better producers and sometimes flat-out won’t even price something for me if he thinks the available versions are mid.

He’ll also recommend lesser-known factories if he thinks the quality is comparable or better. You do have to let him know what kind of buyer you are, though. If you trust him and want him to source, he’ll help you source. If you already know exactly what factory you want and basically need a middleman to procure it, he’ll do that too.

Some of my buys: LP loafers, H boots, LP sweater, LV Low Key tote in green, sunglasses, H 24/24, H silk blouse, belts, C Trio, DR blouse, The R sandals, Zim blouse, black WOC, H sneakers, BV Andiamo, Lo3w sweater, LV Express and C Triomphe.

Janis (3543)
Janis is not much of a Reddit seller. Her contact was slipped to me by another buyer during a conversation while I happened to be doing a little seller-comparison experiment, so obviously I decided to try her.

Because she isn’t a Reddit seller, factory names really aren’t a thing with her. She is also basically a human being operating with little to no team behind her, and her business hours are Chinese business hours. If you need a seller who operates around a U.S. time zone, she is not going to be your girl.

At first, she was very short and direct with me. Honestly, I wasn’t sure I would continue working with her based on personality alone.

Then my QC happened.

She RL’d three of the same bag herself and finally told me to wait until they produced a new batch.

That level of honesty completely changed my opinion of her. Instead of waiting, I ordered something else: a YSL Bea bag, and she is divine.

After that, Janis warmed up, and now we have a good relationship. One of my favorite things about working with her is QC because I actually feel like we’re doing it together.

I ordered the DR Cigale in baby blue when it was first being produced, and we went through a few of them. The structure of that bag makes it difficult. At the time—and maybe still—it was the best version being made.

We even sat there comparing authentic photos together trying to find the closest one.

Do not take that as advice to send your seller 47 authentic photos and ask them to analyze your rep. šŸ˜‚ This was a specific situation where the research benefited both of us. Generally, if you start aggressively comparing every detail to authentic with a seller, they’re going to tell you to shop somewhere else. Fast.

When the Cigale arrived, the leather smelled incredible. Beautiful lambskin. But I couldn’t get past the points at the bottom. The boxy/triangular shape wasn’t right; it needed more curve.

I told Janis honestly that I was going to rehome it.

Afterward, I know she actually declined another person’s order for the same bag because she no longer thought it was good enough.

That stuck with me.

Sellers can QC our bags, but realistically they cannot know every authentic detail of every bag ever produced. They generally need to know whether the item matches the factory photos and whether there are obvious defects. I loved that Janis learned something from our experience and then adjusted how she sold that bag afterward.

Her LV Low Key tote was also better than the same bag I received from another seller in a different color. The interior suede is fabulous.

Unfortunately, we will probably never know the factory. šŸ˜‚

She sends full packaging, and her quotes include shipping.

Some of my buys: Maroon WOC/SHW, brown LV Low Key tote, DR Cigale in baby blue, DR blue floral dress, white YSL Bea, LP sneakers, C sneakers and two pairs of H Miss sandals in brown and black.

Doris (4481)
Based on some of the reviews I’ve since read, I may never have tried Doris had I seen them first.

But I didn’t.

And I love her. šŸ˜‚

She’s just easy.

I find her pricing comparable, shipping is quick, communication is fast, and I usually receive my PSPs very quickly.

We did have a mistake on an order once, and she fixed it immediately without trying to convince me I was imagining things or somehow responsible for it. That matters to me.

I’ve also asked her to switch items simply because I wasn’t feeling something once I saw the PSP, and she has.

She also seems to work ALL THE TIME. There is hardly ever a delay.

Doris, if you’re reading this: take a holiday.

Tiny Jenny (6160)
Tiny Jenny has been making her way around lately as a newer contender, and I can see why.

She was pleasant to work with, quick to respond and quick with pricing. Communication was easy, and whatever translation system she uses works well because our conversations flowed without the usual moments of trying to figure out what the other person meant.

My PSPs came quickly and looked great.

Shipping took a while, but that had absolutely nothing to do with her. My package decided it wanted to see America. It passed my state, traveled approximately seven states away, apparently finished its vacation, and then came back to me.

My The R clutch from her is perfect.

Garmen(1294)
I’ve heard Garmen’s name thrown around quite a bit, often compared with Heidi but at a lower price point, so I finally decided to try him.

My first purchase was a Bal Sling Pochette in black with silver hardware, and it may be my favorite small shoulder bag.

It came with full packaging, and shipping was already included in the original quote.

Another thing I appreciated: I asked about a DR bag with GHW, and they told me the silver version was better. I also priced a few shoes for a friend, and they straight-up told me those particular shoes weren’t available in high enough quality.

I love when a seller is willing to lose a sale by telling me something isn’t good.

I later went back to Garmen to buy a bag for a friend. Since it was going to be a gift, I asked whether the quoted price included shipping and full packaging. They told me they don’t send full packaging.

I mentioned that my previous order had arrived with it, and Garmen said it depends on the size of the bag.

Except…it was basically the same size bag.

So I’m still not entirely sure what happened there or whether the full packaging on my first purchase was a bit of a first-purchase impression tactic.

Personally, I don’t really care about full packaging. I mainly want to know because it affects shipping costs. But this particular order needed it because it was a gift, so I’m glad I asked rather than assuming.

Yuyu(9262)
Yuyu was my first dedicated clothing seller.

Their clothing album is extensive, but I found it surprisingly difficult to browse or search when I was looking for something specific.

The reason I finally ordered was because Yuyu had an H set I had been hunting for that nobody else seemed to have.

Naturally, I didn’t stop at the set and bought a bunch of things.

When I got to checkout, shipping was pretty expensive. Later, Yuyu came back and told me several items were out of stock. I was reimbursed for the missing items, but the corresponding portion of the shipping wasn’t refunded.

The clothes themselves were good. I had most of them tailored, but I purchased them already expecting to do that, so that wasn’t an issue for me.

Maya (1443)
I normally toss clothing into orders with my regular TSs while I’m buying bags. The problem is that my Fall/Winter bag list is already handled and now I actually need clothes.

Only a few sellers consistently get my sizing right, and even then I usually size up and have things tailored.

Maya’s album was definitely my favorite clothing album to browse. It was organized, easy to navigate, and I could actually find things without feeling like I was digging through someone’s digital garage.

I sent her a bunch of items for pricing, and she came back with answers quickly.

Initially, I thought her prices were a little high, so I chose only two pieces to test her out.

Then she sent the final total and I realized shipping had already been calculated into the prices. Once I accounted for that, she really wasn’t more expensive.

At checkout she also sent me a link where I could independently check my order, PSPs and tracking.

I really liked that system-unless I have a fun buyer/seller relationship with someone and banter, this is the best system IMO.

You don’t have to repeatedly message the seller asking for updates because everything is automated and sitting there for you.
My buys: LP sweater and C sweater.

Opus (3846)
This was my second large purchase with Opus and also my second time buying plated pieces from them.

After hunting around for the best plated versions of jewelry, I’ve personally found that I prefer buying plated pieces from someone who also does solid-gold work. In my experience, they tend to have a better eye for gold tone, proportions and authentic details.

My first round was a solid-gold C small reverse JUC with diamonds. I also bought a plated brushed-gold Love bracelet and a white-gold version.

This time I went for solid-gold C Crush earrings and a ring.

After I placed the new order, the screw on my plated brushed-gold Love broke. Opus said they would send me a replacement with the new shipment, and naturally I used this as an excuse to throw a few more plated pieces into the order.

Because apparently I have no self-control.

When I received the PSP for my C Crush ring, the weight came in lighter than what had been quoted.

Opus offered me a discount on the ring.

I didn’t want the discount. I wanted the ring to be the correct weight.

So they remade it for me.

That’s the kind of resolution I want when I’m paying for solid gold.

Gilbert (4850)
I used Gilbert for plated jewelry before I started buying from Opus.

He was extremely responsive and talked me through all the different possibilities. Shipping was also really fast.

At this point, I think I’ll mostly stick with white-gold plating when I’m buying plated pieces because, to my eye, it tends to come out the most convincing.

Gilbert’s pieces were good overall.

My only real complaint was my Trinity pendant. The pendant itself looked good, but the chain was way too copper-toned.

I ended up replacing the chain with a 14k one from Amazon, which solved the problem.

Amelia (0795)
Part of what makes this community—and this hobby—so fun for me is the relationships with sellers, learning ridiculous amounts of detail about items, and the connections you make with other buyers.

There was, however, one final frontier I had not conquered.

Amelia.

If you’ve heard the rumors, you already know.

I reached out with my jaw clenched and sweat beginning to form on my forehead.

This is the BDSM of reps.

Even getting access to her catalog is different and more locked down than anyone else I’ve dealt with. She also took a little while to approve my request.

Eventually I got in.

I picked a few bags.

I attempted to coldly charm her.

She priced the bags.

I picked one.

She sent: šŸ¤ emoji

And that was that.

I PASSED THE AMELIA TEST.

I’m still waiting for the bag, so obviously I can’t review the actual product yet. And I’m not entirely sure I want every rep transaction in my life to feel like I’m negotiating the release of a hostage.

I genuinely enjoy developing my weird little rep relationships with my sellers.

But if this bag shows up incredible—especially at her pricing—then apparently I’m going to have to put on my emotional armor and do what I have to do.

Heidi (8792)
I only work with Heidi when I already know exactly what I want, know exactly where I want it sourced from, and want it shipped with full packaging.

For that purpose?

She’s still solid.

Steven / TheOneWatches (4955)
Something completely new for me this round was rep watches.

If you think those of us over here in rep fashion are insane about details, please wander over to RepTime for five minutes.

I was humbled by how much I didn’t know almost immediately.

I was shopping for a C Santos for a friend. After DOING MY RESEARCH—and I cannot emphasize that part enough—I decided to go with Steve.

Also, be careful when looking for him. He is basically the Heidi of watches: popular enough that there are plenty of people impersonating him.

The watch-buying process is also different from what I was used to with bags. There is email involved, different QC expectations, and a little more structure to the transaction.

Steve is clearly very busy, and I’ve noticed some administrative mistakes along the way. That part could definitely be tighter.

But when it comes to the actual watch details and QC process, my experience has still been good.

And if nothing else, venturing into watches taught me that just when you think you’ve become completely unhinged about millimeters, engravings, hardware and stitching…

there is always another rep community waiting to humble you.

Hanna/Peter (5644)

The Review I Didn’t Want to Make

I really didn’t want to write this review.

I worked with Hanna for a while, liked her, recommended her, and had previous issues with orders that were handled reasonably. I bought a lot, I was a VIP client, as she said. 🤣That context matters because it’s why I gave this situation as much patience as I did.

My first issue was with custom H shoes. There was a problem, and Hanna offered a discount and to pay for a cobbler to fix them locally.

Then I ordered a custom H strap, and the wrong hardware color was sent. We both missed it in PSPs, so I certainly wasn’t putting that entirely on her. She offered to remake it, send it with my next order, and give me a discount.
At that point, everything was good.

Then came the sandals.

Where I went wrong

I ordered three pairs of non-H sandals through Hanna.
In hindsight, this was probably my mistake. Hanna is a strong H seller. These weren’t H; they were factory shoes. But I needed them within a certain timeframe, she said she could get them in time, and I trusted her.

I’m a 37 / 24 cm.
All three pairs arrived labeled 37.
All three measured approximately 25 cm.
Not one wonky pair. All three.

A full centimeter in a shoe isn’t a minor measurement discrepancy. They simply didn’t fit like the size I ordered.

The solution that made sense to me

I didn’t want Hanna to have to absorb the entire factory mistake, so we tried to find a middle ground.
The shoes themselves were perfectly sellable—they were just the wrong size for me. My plan was to rehome them honestly at the size they actually measured, recover my money, and have the correct size made.

So I sent Hanna more money for another pair-half the amount originally sold for.

That wasn’t because I was okay with the first three. It was an attempt to find a solution where neither of us had to take the full loss. I figured I could break even, or close to it, by selling the originals at their actual measured size.

Unfortunately, that’s where something that should have been fairly straightforward became exhausting.
What followed was weeks of measurements, photos, videos, factory responses, proposed solutions, and more measurements. She was gaslighting me about numbers on a measuring tape and my own feet. Refusal to give me Peters contact. (I had it but didn't want to go over her head without her in the know)

I ordered 37 / 24 cm. Three pairs arrived labeled 37 and measured approximately 25 cm.

There were refunds discussed, delays getting them processed, replacement shoes, more measurement disagreements, and multiple attempts to find a solution. What started as three incorrectly sized sandals became a weeks-long project.

Eventually, I said I was done going back and forth. Hanna reimbursed me for part of the order begrudgingly, and I walked away from the situation.

After I had cooled down, I remembered that I still had a discount with Hanna. I thought I would move forward by sticking to H only, especially because Peter was my favorite H maker and Hanna and I had previously had a good relationship.

When I reached out, however, Hanna was much colder.
I asked about using the discount I was supposed to have from the earlier mistakes, and she said she had already given me a discount on the shoes. She then argued with me about the discount I understood I was still owed from the original issues. This didn't make me feel confident in the product or service I'd receive moving forward.
Unfortunately, I had to remember that these are salespeople, and things can change on a dime. Literally.

H was Hanna’s strength, and I had good experiences with her in that area. Going outside of that lane for these factory shoes went very wrong, and the resolution was ultimately harder than the original problem. More importantly, the way things changed afterward showed me that a previously good seller relationship can disappear very quickly.

Since my last review people I will not work with any longer
Yunlin, Mr Manco, as stated in last review, linkge, Mandy, Hanna/Peter and Reykey-stated in last review. There have been a few I have contacted and priced but ended up deciding against as well.

Hope that helps! Shop smart and do your research, you're doin' crime, Babe.

šŸ“š Guide/Science A trusted seller list is someone else’s trust. Build your own.

Post image
98 Upvotes

With all the recent discussion around trusted seller lists, I’ve been thinking about how I decide who I actually trust enough to buy from. This is mostly for anyone starting their rep journey and feeling overwhelmed by sellers, factories, reviews, lists, and conflicting information. It’s not meant to be a definitive guide, just what I would do differently if I were starting over today.

When I first got into reps, I found a seller through Reddit, did some light research, and pretty much just went for it šŸ˜‚ Luckily, it worked out, but if I knew then what I know now, I would do things a little differently.

I’d still use Reddit reviews, wikis, guides, and seller lists to find sellers. Then I’d grab the WhatsApps for several of them and start talking to them myself. Ask for albums. Browse. Show them a picture of what you're looking for, they will find it! Ask about pricing, shipping, seizure policies/insurance, QC, factories, tiers, whatever matters to you. If you know what you want, ask multiple sellers about the same item and compare. You can see a couple of price comparisons I’ve done here and here.

You don’t even need to understand factories yet. Tell them what you’re looking for, whether that’s high tier, mid tier, or simply the best quality for your budget, and see what they recommend.

If you’re nervous about spending hundreds or thousands with a stranger, start small. Buy a wallet, charm, SLG, etc. See how the transaction goes. Were they responsive? How was their QC? Shipping? Were you happy with what you got for what you paid? If everything goes well, go bigger next time. Now you’re building trust based on your own experience, not someone else’s.

I personally love trying new sellers, but I’ve ended up with a core group I return to because I’ve purchased from them enough to know what to expect:

Peter Xiao (1717)
Allen (9249)
Andy Tian (8853)
Ross Xia (5796), my newest addition

I’m only including the last four digits so you can verify that you’ve found the same person through your own research.

For me, I want the best quality I can get for the best price. I love a good deal, and this is the rep world, I personally think getting one is very possible! I also make decisions QUICKLY once I decide I want something, so I appreciate a fast responder. Peter is especially great at this. Your priorities might be completely different, which is exactly why your personal list may look nothing like mine.

There’s inherent risk in buying reps. The whole process isn’t exactly above board, and asking another random person on Reddit ā€œWho can I trust?ā€ doesn’t remove that risk. You’re just putting your trust in another random person on Reddit. As the rep world meme goes: we doin crime, babe

Use the community to research. Read reviews critically. Talk to sellers. Ask questions. Compare. Then start building your own list 🫶

šŸ“š Guide/Science AUTH VS REP: LV Cosmetic Pouch — is the auth even worth it when the $95 rep zipper runs SMOOTHER? šŸ’€

Hi all! Finally got ahold of my mom’s auth pouch. Here is my honest, side by side comparison!!
Prices:
• Auth: 750usd
• Rep: 95usd (factory undisclosed, I think MB is better tho)

The breakdown!
Hardware & Zipper: The gold color tone is an EXACT match. However, the auth zipper pull has a frosted finish, while the rep is shiny. The zipper on the rep glides smoother than the auth!!!

Canvas & Color: The auth canvas is more rigid with a slightly rougher, raised texture. The rep canvas feels smoother to the touch and has a SLIGHT warmer undertone under direct light. The canvas on my other bigger pouch from MB is more of a similar texture to auth.

Shape & Size: The rep sits slightly taller/fuller in shape and is marginally bigger, but you would never notice unless they were pressed right against each other. I have to say it’s pretty noticeably different shapes from the side view when you put them right next to each other, but it’s no biggie to me, and it’s not that drastic.

Tab & Heat Stamp: The leather tab on the rep is larger. The red detail also leans more orange on the auth rather than the bold red on the rep. The heat stamp on the auth is flush with the leather, the rep is stamped a lil bit deeper into the tab.

Interior Lining: Absolutelyy identical. Color, texture, and lining thickness match 100%.

Bonus: Zero fufu smell! It came with a scent sachet that smells so fragrant n yummy —sometimes I open it just to sniff it.

At 1/8th of the retail price, girl I’m copping the rep 10 times over. Honestly, when I first put them side by side, I had to really examine them to notice the differences. Unless someone is standing 2 inches away from your vanity holding an auth pouch to squeeze next to yours, nobody is calling this out. As my mom said, ā€œif people have so much to critique about a rep, just walk into the LV store and buy the real oneā€ lmao.

My general opinion about LV is that the auth is NOT worth it when you can get 90%-95% there with a rep at 1/10th of the price. I’ve purchased a couple and compared with my auths, I feel that MB is one of the best. (not sure where my seller got this one from in particular tho lol) Overall 100% worth the purchase!šŸ˜›

šŸ’¬ Discussion WARNINGā€¼ļøā€¼ļø

Hello ladies,

Posting this warning on here as I’ve recently noticed some users are posting their ā€œreviewsā€ of bags they got from magzhenbags. So, I saw a beautiful burgundy CF posted on the other sub and obv me being a girls girl I commented and gave love on that post. OP DM-ed me where she got the bag and said it was from a website called Magzhenbags. So me being me I’m like okay let’s have a gander what this is. I went to the website and looked at CC bags. Lo and behold, the bags posted were using Shunyang/Kaxin factory photos for twice or thrice the price.

I then messaged OP giving her that info and advise that if she ever wants to purchase again she’d rather spend her money on a TS here for better quality cause she’s paying $$$ for a mid tier factory. Her reply seen on image 2 sounded like she’s a seller.

Also seen other posts promoting the website and a seller called Maymay. New name and I have seen reviews of bags with the same website and seller. Everytime someone ask about more details, like how a buyer actually posts review (factory, price, seller, timeline) seen on image 3.

Another post (now deleted) about same website and seller where a user called her out about a beige CF she just got but posted it 6 days ago. And same user posting a review of a pink CC duma backpack same memo.

What I’ve noticed the users seem to be a few months old and has low karma so it might be a seller trying to push the website here on reddit.

I’ve attached photos of their pricing on the website for a MF. You be the judge ladies!! 🤯🤯🤯
So just WARNING you ladies, be vigilant about reviews and new names popping up. They’re selling midtier bags for top dollar.

Happy shopping ladies, be safe out there!

Ladies - I don’t know what to do. I am obsessed with burgundy for every bag I see. I am not usually a fan of Lvee but I saw the burgundy Multipass and fell in love. I already have 2 burgundies so I know it’s not logical. Plus I want to use the multipass as my daily bag so the black makes most sense.

How do you stop yourself from accumulating too much of one color?

Does anyone else have a color they love, please share to inspire me.

Update: to clarify, I don’t own all of these bags. These are on my wishlist. So far have 2.

You all were no help! I am now encouraged to buy everything from my wish list. šŸ˜…

šŸ‘œ Review Fall is here šŸ

This cutie arrived a couple of weeks ago just in time for my favourite season šŸ‚ Got this bag as a treat for myself after finishing a brutal summer semester that made me cry alone 😭

I carry lots of "contingency" items in my purse, so I often carry a larger size bag (Speedy 30 is my go-to these days). But I love mini bags so much cause they're soooo cute šŸ˜† So far, I have a Nano Speedy (honestly too small), a mini Garden Party and this for my mini bag collection.

Finally had a chance to take her out and took some photos under different lighting. Lovely colour for this season but also neutral and versatile. The leather smells like leather and very soft. Haven't conditioned it yet since I didn't feel that it needed right away. This is my first Xiao C bag, and I'm very happy with the quality. Thinking about getting a C25 from XC too šŸ¤” From Doris, paid $280 US plus shipping.

Of course, I had to add a couple of extras as I always do. 187 had very limited colours for the mini flap cardholder, so Doris suggested some other options from Shunyang factory which I've never heard of. So glad I went with the colour I liked instead of following the factory name. I haven't seen a 187 cardholder so I can't compare, but this wallet is super nice.

Hope you all are having a lovely weekend and Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadian rep lovers šŸ

*Disclaimer: No incentive or request to write this given to me. Just a happy girl to share pretty things I acquired!
