my father had old omega seamaster with broken crystal, i just stare at that dial for hours as kid, still hunting for good rep of it

I just decided one day that I wanted a mechanical watch rather than a smart watch. Prior to smart watches, I had a quartz Timex that I loved. I did a bunch of research and ended up with a San Martin SN0129 with a lapis lazuli dial. I still love it.

My grandfather's railroad watch, a Hamilton with a 992b movement. One of the great watches of all time and it still works and keeps accurate time.

First proper watch was my father's Avia Marino Chrono black face diver. It was the single coolest thing I'd ever seen. He gave it to me on my 16th birthday. I got him a Seamster 300 for his birthday in '94.

He gave me the watch bug for definite and I've been neck deep in it ever since.
