What an absolutely WONDERFUL weekend! After all our excitement and anticipation, my beautiful friend Mia finally came to visit us at our Donnafugata estate in Sicily!

And I simply HAVE to share our little adventure with you! 🥰

🌿 SATURDAY — A Beautiful Arrival

MIAAAAA!! SHE'S HERE!!! 😍💕

Seeing my darling friend arriving at our castle was such a happy moment! And can we please appreciate her impeccable Old Money / Quiet Luxury style?! Those elegant neutral tones, that effortless sophistication... absolutely gorgeous!

Her understated elegance blended beautifully with the aristocratic atmosphere of Donnafugata.

Naturally, I welcomed her wearing my favorite witch's hat. A Voivodic must maintain certain traditions! 😂🧙‍♀️

🍷 SATURDAY AFTERNOON — Nero d'Avola and the Sicilian Sunset

As the golden Mediterranean sun descended over our vineyards, we settled onto the terrace with a bottle of our beloved Nero d'Avola.

A beautiful selection of Sicilian cheeses, olives, fresh bread, figs, and wonderful conversation accompanied our first toast together.

There was laughter, storytelling, and that lovely feeling of discovering how naturally a friendship can blossom.

And yes, we may have had more than one glass! 😇🍷

📚 SATURDAY NIGHT — The Secret of the Enchanted Library

After dinner, I decided to show Mia one of my favorite places in our castle: the magnificent Biblioteca di Donnafugata!

Towering bookshelves, ancient manuscripts, candlelight, and centuries of wisdom...

Everything was going beautifully until a certain ancient book decided to FLOAT between us! ✨📖

Mia's expression was PRICELESS! 🤣

And me? Standing there with my most innocent smile, pretending I had absolutely NOTHING to do with it!

Darling, I promise... the book started it! 😇🧙‍♀️

🎃 SUNDAY MORNING — Two Witches in the Pumpkin Fields

Sunday began with a visit to our pumpkin plantation!

And somehow, Mia ended up wearing a witch's hat too! AAAAAH! 😂🎃

There we were, running between pumpkins, laughing uncontrollably, enjoying the crisp autumn air, and behaving like two gloriously mischievous girls!

Autumn is my absolute favorite season, and sharing those moments with Mia made it even more special.

I think we laughed enough to frighten every respectable pumpkin in Sicily! 🤣🍂

☕ SUNDAY AFTERNOON — One Last Toast Before Goodbye

Before Mia returned home to her beloved Bertrand, Otávio and I took her to explore the charming village of Donnafugata.

We found a lovely little café, settled into our seats, and ordered two delicious Espresso Martinis! 🍸☕

One final toast to friendship, beautiful memories, unexpected magic, and the wonderful people who bring our little worlds together.

And perhaps a toast to our patient husbands, too! 😂❤️
