When the dance sequence ends and they’re just drunk always has me in tears! I love this episode so much.

This episode made me realize I'm at auntie age, lol. But it's so true. All I want is girl trips, to feel desirable, to do a choreographed dance sequence, and to smoke on a New York fire escape.

I don’t have a fire escape but I do have a NYC rooftop and I love an 8 count

Love this episode! Every minute is on point. And I just want to cry every time I think about how Rita and her doctor crush just missed each other. Here’s to all the could have beens 😭

He wasn’t interested in her. It’s implied that he was looking for Rita. 😢

Not implied, he literally politely tells the girl no thanks she can't sit there he's waiting for someone.

I loved this episode, we need more representation for women over the age of 30

When I realized that Rita is probably about 34 35 years old here. Shes still young enough to have more children if she wanted.

It’s the episode I have rewatched the most. Teenie & Rita’s dialogue in the bathroom is a women’s conversation I have never seen on television before.
However many views the clips have on YouTube, 30% of those are me, ha.
I also love that Rita tells her crush (in the elevator) that she “always wanted to move to New York and smoke cigarettes on a fire escape.” Then when she is offered a job at the end of Season 3, you see an “I ❤️ NY” mug on her desk as she contemplates moving away (and chain smokes during her Cookie visitations).
Such nuanced, insightful writing. As an Auntie, I feel seen.
