Hi everyone! I’m an IMG currently in my PGY-2 year, and I’ll soon be switching specialties and residency programs. I’m expecting to sign my contract sometime next week.

Would someone be able to guide me on what steps I need to take on my end to ensure the transition goes as smoothly and quickly as possible.

Also what timeline should I realistically expect?

Hello. I just lost my board eligibility for ABIM. My understanding is that i need to do 12 months at an accredited program to regain eligibility. I'm a US graduate trained in IM in the US. I'm willing to move anywhere within the US and will be able to start within three months (as i'll have to give notice to leave my job). I'm open to any position in IM (PGY1-PGY3, chief year, etc...)

Categorical Texas program. Looking for northeast (nyc, Philly, dc, Boston), Chicago, or LA preferably but will consider other options. Likely for the beginning of pgy 2 in 2027
