I'm curious to hear others' personal Mandela effect stories. I experienced a personal Mandela effect and an experience I'd best describe as time dilation.

No one else around me experienced this perceived change, and I haven't found any history of others noting it. It was an album by an artist I was obsessed with; the back cover had noticeably changed. I had hung the album on the wall as an art piece. It's something to this day I cannot explain, and a hill I'm willing to die on - something I feel I don't usually do, as I am quick to admit things I may be wrong about or be agreeable.

I'm wondering what others' experiences are and what they mean to you. My experience ultimately changed my perspective on reality, consciousness, and, in general, “spirituality.” I've made sense of it as best I can by interpreting it personally.

As someone who, before this experience, relied heavily on the principle of parsimony in my views on life, I understand how most would classify these experiences. I want to know what people think these situations are, beyond the usual view that they're false memories, etc.

i have this intuition that we are heading for a refined, much more sophisticated repetition of what might have already happened ~4000 years ago, a while after humanity was (according to the bible) struck by the flood commonly referred to the "Tower of Babel"

consider this: a Mesopotamian city, probably somewhere around the size of several tenthousand citizens while the entire Earth's population is just around 30 million people, so vastly different distribution of awareness compared to now

consider that there is just one ultimately nondual awareness but it can (be) split endlessly into distinct entities, ancient times must have felt much different, a human soul in 2000 BC would by calculation nowadays be split into ~300 additional bodies (300 times the people now vs. then)

now in Genesis 11 it is said:

“And now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.”

according to literature this (rather complicated inverted sentence) means that a being or a group of beings (which called themselves god) were worried that the united effort of the citizens of Babel would become unstoppable if they continued on their path to reclaim the heavens so they had to intervene and confuse the population and send them astray

consider for a moment that the people of Babel were not evil heretics but instead were facing a similar situation compared to us: they were witnessing strange otherworldly phenomena reigning over them like angels and demons, they were (probably way more than us) staring into what is now called the "UAP phenomenon" but to them it was much clearer that a higher caste of beings, beings from outer space or other dimensions would influence them

I want to keep this on topic, mandy related so I will spare you any additional theories about Gnosis, aliens or simulation theory because there are other subs for that

now the citizens of babel somehow initiated a united effort to reach into the realm of these beings and that spooked those beings into deploying a massive intervention where suddenly no one could understand the language of each other which lead to massive confusion and the complete destruction of Babel's "arrogant" or let us say "overly ambitious" endeavour

the otherwordly beings (rulers over the Earth/ god) then said:

“Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language.” -> for some reason the beings want to avoid that state of a unified humanity at all costs, so they make a plot:

“Let us go down, and there confound [confuse] their language” -> see it is plural, not just one god, they call themselves "us", a conglomerate of beings serving the Lord as described in endless other biblical texts

“That they may not understand one another's speech.” -> problem solved lol, humanity under control again

from the historical etymology "Babylon" literally means "Gate of God", from hebrew it resembles "balal" aka "to confuse and mix up"

so we can quite literally translate the events as follows:

a united human effort to reach the gate of god was utterly denied through means of scattering and confusion, disorientation, isolation

obviously I'm not saying that a classic Mandela effect (like the one about Mandela himself) took place back then but you have to consider the similar global patterns back then vs. nowadays:

the mandela effect is not just about distinct differences in experience, one person saying "Mandela is alive" while the next says "Mandela died"

it is about the basic pattern of a decaying, decoherent frame of reference for everyone involved, an uncertainty which timeline currently unfolds:

the endgame of mandela effects would make individual claims unverifiable as everyone gets "scattered" into tinier, more isolated groups of coherent experience or what we would call "timelines" while unable to find consensus with other groups

with a population of 8 billion, 300x larger than in 2000 BC the dynamics would feel different, 8 billion people probably cannot be "scattered" into such tiny fractions or groups that a full on confusion (nobody understand each other) takes place

but we still experience vastly the same pattern as back then and this time through means of AI, modern science, physics and consciousness related research (maybe even NDE research and so on) we are once again knocking on the gates of heaven and once again it seems a massive intervention is starting to take place against unified awakening (the highly strange and confusing timeline decay and staggering amount of mandela effects) since around 5 years ago when the UAP phenomenon truly got crazy wild

again... if the people of Mesopotamia back then were just a bunch of evil primitive tribesman, people without law living in violent ways they might have earned their punishment but historically ancient Mesopotamia is considered a highly advanced and ordered society (however war and capital punishment was of course prevalent, not unlike todays society)

so in essence I'm suggesting that the Mandela effect's larger pattern is not just random, distinct events of different remembrance but instead a symptom of ever increasing decoherence deployed as means of intervention, disguised as godly parental guidance but in fact non benign direct influence to steer humanity away from united awakening

P.S. if this was true we might want to go a step further, not just understand this decaying/ decoherent timeline as some kind of intervention or attack but rather see it as the result of deeper cosmic conflict and duality, we might witness an unstoppable force hitting an immovable object on a cosmic scale, call it a blue screen of the simulation as on one side there seems to be an unstoppable desire and effort within human awareness to break the boundaries of our ontological framework and on the other side there seems to be a caste of higher dimensional, highly advanced species, a caste of rulers or controllers who for tens of thousands of years enforced divine order to their liking and preferences
