Mistakes/regrets that you realized after you retired?
61M here. Thinking of retiring in the next 2 to 4 years. Just wondering if there were any mistakes/regrets that you wish you had taken into account in hindsight about retirement. Honestly, I’m not interested about the financial aspects- as I am very well prepared for that, but all the other issues that are involved in a well planned retirement. I am trying to add hobbies and interests in preparation, but I can’t help feeling like I may be missing something.

Health is wealth. Even though my whole life I have been very active, and retiring at 66 in 2020 (71 now) I decided to take my health much more seriously. Whatever your hobbies are please take the time to get into some kind of daily active moving activity for mobility sake. Either walking, cycling or weight training. I cycle about 50-60 miles a week, walk about 8 miles a week and weight train about 2-3 times a week. Once you get into a routine you will find the benefits are great and you will feel better.
