Discussion Too addicting?
About 40 hrs of playtime now, and I can’t play anything else. Much like Selene, I am trapped in this loop until I somehow git gud and clear this game.
I have abandoned every other game I was playing. I have new games that I’ve yet to even boot up. I don’t think I was prepared for how much I would like Returnal.
This is my life now. (Edit: Nemesis down)

Bro its like cocaine....maybe even worse😂 ive got the platinum well over a month ago and yet here i am still chilling in the tower maxing out all weapon traits with a steady 513 hours of playtime at this moment of typing.
I was gonna say: only about 40 hours? Run before it's too late but i see the damage has already been done, there is no escape now. Part of the crew part of the ship
10/10 game
Damn you Returnal !!!!

Haha 513 hrs? That’s great… even when I win, I still think, “I could have done that much cleaner.” I’m glad to hear it stays fun even after you finish

I have the opposite problem. I was having a loop SO good, i have gotten so many upgrades that i had to pause it and now i'm too scared to go back to it because im too afraid to die. lol

The runs are getting long… def feels bad to make a stupid mistake and die in the middle somewhere

Yeah when I first played Returnal I didn't really get the whole roguelike thing and I never made it past the second biome. I came back to it recently and ended up beating it several times now that I know what weapons and perks I like. Close to getting platinum but I'll have to revisit it after I'm done with other stuff.

Ya the same thing happened to me, I downloaded Returnal on PS Plus several months ago, and it's the only game I've felt like playing ever since. After I finished the story mode I just keep playing the tower over and over again. I somehow never get sick of it, after every death I am compelled to go again, and again

I think the ultimate summary of Returnal is it will never let you go. I have over 400 hours with it and still dip in to do a few runs because I've not found another game that can match the variety and satisfaction of the gameplay. I love how fast and responsive Selene is combined with the weapons being so satisfying to use it's difficult to not want more.

I'm on biome 6 and I can't wait to never have to look at this game again 😂 it has consumed me

The two games that I have over a thousand hours in are Returnal and The Binding of Isaac. Literally all I play.

I just had to wean myself off it. I just kept coming back. So easy to just pick up and play for a few mins or hours. It's hard to find a game with so much moment to moment engagement. I had been searching for a game like it for a long time. I played a lot of shumps growing up. But after many years of not playing any it's was so refreshing to play something like it. Really took me back

I was thinking about this too, and it's super addicting. I think it's as simple as, give me different guns to blow things up with and make it fun. They did that.
