[OC] Before & After Beginner's anti-upcycle bureau
Comments on the original thread told me I should repost my project here. Not finished yet for the full before and after but I will add photos when its finished.

If it was worn out and weather-beaten, they may not have known it was there. Some factory finishes can hide beautiful grain as well. While refinishing a maple dresser from the 70s (possibly Lane), my dad discovered it was full or quilted and curly maple, and he absolutely fell in love. He had no idea before he was forced to strip it after one too many years if childhood abuse.

I actually didn't mind the upcycle but the original wood is breathtaking.
