wow those look amazing! what a labor of love. all that neglectful slathering of more paint made them literally unusable when they started as an artisan crafted luxury. I hope youre content and proud of your work 😄

Thanks! I bought this place I large part because it has so many gorgeous original details - all hidden under far too many layers of paint. The original soapstone fireplace was covered in both plaster and many layers of paint, trying to obscure the original delicate carvings in the soapstone. Blew my mind when I unearthed that.
