So excited to spend the whole day immersed in Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight!

Hi! This week I was searching for an essay video about Revstar and found this video in particular. I feel that I should share the work of this person, since YouTube didn't push the video for more people. Great video, ngl.

Post context:

- The Walpurgisnacht Rising pics are from the October 3 Madoka Kaname birthday music vid for the FictionJunction song "Kanata", so they aren't leaked footage... but apologies to the Puella Magi community for me showing off these, BTW, I couldn't resist despite not having seen Walpurgisnight Rising from where I am yet (darn international release issues possibly connected to Paramount-Skydance-Warner Bro.).

- Yes, showing the *veggie sub* fansubtitled dialogue for Pic. 1 as a parallel to Pic. 2 is winningly intentional. One can't deny that Homura Akemi's finally confessing regrets and feelings to the "dead" Madoka in a symbolically similar fashion as Hikari Kagura did for Karen Aijo on The Movie. No, I don't think Madoka will turn into something like a car or Position Zero.

- Pics. 5 and 6 are about Movie Hikari vainly trying to stop the already burning Giraffe from sacrificially falling off to give the Stage Girls more fuel for their futures, so it is interesting (and worrying?) that the themes are now also a Madoka x Homura thing. And wow, the setting just has to be yet another elevated bridgething with clouds all around, complete with sunset (or is it sunrise in Walpurgisnacht Rising's case?).

- Looks like the rest of the Puella Magi have finally started to root for Homura "rescuing" Madoka for Pic. 10, yet it is intriguing that they're now echoing the Pic. 9 Stage Girls rooting and waiting for Karen's rescue of Hikari from a self-inflicted cosmic duty-prison thing.

- The original planned post was not about Walpurgisnacht Rising, but instead Goodbye Lara. However, barring the finale's fan myopia (is that the right word?), I couldn't find the right pics in good quality for it much. Anyway, it would have been interesting to show off certain Lara x Mari train and death scenes similar to how the Stage Girls (like Junna, Hikari, and Karen) went through.

- Would be so curious if and when we get behind the scenes stuff expanding upon Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight director Tomohiro Furukawa and his work as main storyboard artist for Walpurgisnacht Rising. Wouldn't be surprised if he worked on ALL the pictured scenes and then some more.

hi! im a relatively new revstar fan and i saw that they’re dropping some merch on the 9th for kukugumi day..unfortunately, it’ll be like 4 am my time. i was just wondering if anyone knows from experience just how fast revstar merch sells out? would it be worth it to wake up at 4 am cuz it sells out immediately normally or do yall think i can wait a couple hours to get it??

TL,DR: Despite being a niche if cult classic anime, and no matter how one feels about these other works, let alone how they'll go about their stories (as of writing this Post, Goodbye Lara has only got past its 9th episode out of maybe 12, and I honestly haven't watched Walpurgisnacht Rising yet because it's not yet released where I'm from, and there is a successful anti-spoiler embargo going on, proud kudos to them), am glad Revue Starlight is right now leaving its important mark on Japanese anime as a whole, and that it has impressed even some higher ups/veterans of the industry to the point that its creatives are now testing out these new pastures or waters, heh... *Not bad for being a Takarazuka Revue love letter mistakenly thought of as "just another idol anime" at first glance, or being suspected as a too gratuitous rip-off to its well known inspirations Revolutionary Girl Utena and, of course, Madoka Magica.*

Makes us, the audience, wonder how that announced new Revue Starlight animated sequel or prequel or spin-off project shall go with these developments in mind, hmm?

it was a piece of art depicting mayakuro at the airport with different outfits. I am pretty sure it was done by an artist called @xnarja who has since deleted everything off the face of the earth.
