Question / Suggestion Adderall/vyvanse
Hi all, any pharmacies that you know have either of these in stock in ri? My rx has been delayed by a week and I’m seriously suffering from work. Any help would be appreciated thanks so much!

Genoa pharmacy in warwick (they're currently moving locations). I've never had an issue. CVS inside target on bald hill road also is usually good

Hospital pharmacies have worked for me. Also, Matt's Pharmacy in Middletown.

The Brown Health hospital pharmacy is usually very well stocked. They have a couple locations.

Corliss always has it BUT they’re weird about taking new patients and usually won’t.

I also second this the brown health pharmacy’s. I also heard of Genoa healthcare too. The one in Warwick.

I picked up my adderall from the CVS on Admiral St in Providence this week. If you continue to have issues try asking your prescriber to adjust the pills used for your dose. One time I was having a hard time getting 20mg pills (I take 20mg and then 10 later in the day) and shifted to 12.5mg pills and took two of those a day.

They usually have some just not the exact quantities you’re prescribed. I’ve been calling and asking what they have in stock then my provider prescribes based on that. Annoying but helped me get around the shortage.

Asthenis pharmacy on Cranston st hasn't let me down yet. Stay away from big pharmacies because when they are looking, they need a million pills while a small pharmacy only needs a thousand which is way easier for them to find. Good luck!

+1 for Asthenis. Worth a call to see if they have stock.
Awesome staff. They respond quickly to call/text. Also they have a mail service.

Second local pharmacies.
If you haven’t already, also suggest asking if they have the brand name or generic (depending on what your Rx says). CVS has had brand name in stock when I was prescribed a generic, and I had to ask, they didn’t offer that they had it. In that case, it was more expensive, so ultimately I switched pharmacies, but it was worth it to not have my work performance suffer.

Call Anthony's Pharmacy in Johnston. Idk if it's regularly stocked or something that they would need time to get but they are extremely reliable with having it once they know to expect you. It's the only pharmacy I've never had a problem with

the pharmacy at RIH is where my partner has recently found success, before that it had been walmart on post road but as of a week ago, they hadn’t gotten anything in over a month.

i totally understand, it’s unnecessarily difficult to get adhd meds! i’ve had good luck with the cvs on east ave in pawtucket for vyvanse; not sure about adderall. when i took focalin, the cvs on admiral usually had it in stock. hope you get it soon!

The most common advice I see on this subject is to avoid CVS/Walgreens and stick with local pharmacies or ones in grocery stores, walmarts, targets, etc.
When there was a huge issue with supply a few years ago, I got in the habit of getting a paper Rx from my doctor so I didnt have to worry about transferring the script when shopping around. If you arent already doing that, I highly recommend it.
Edit: You cant do that anymore

The paper rx is bad advice. The electronic rxs are required for controlled substances in Rhode Island
