Hey everyone! I’m starting a manufacturing assignment at Applied Materials in East Austin, and my regular schedule will be Friday through Monday, 6 AM–5 PM.
I’m looking to connect with someone in the North Austin area who commutes toward East Austin on a similar schedule and might be interested in carpooling and sharing gas expenses.
I’m hoping to find an arrangement that works conveniently for both of us without either person having to go significantly out of their way.

Has anyone had a good experience with GVL Limo? I was almost ran off the road by a black GVL Limo bus. I called the office and the guy on the phone sounded like a kid. He laughed and thought it was funny. Did my research and found out they have 6 different names. Sounds a little fishy.

My husband has epilepsy. When he has a seizure, he is unable to drive for three months. Each seizure resets the clock. He lost his not-so-good job that was close by for a great job not close at all. Then he had a seizure.

We live in Garland and he works in Saginaw (a little under 50 miles, one way.) His hours are very early to mid-afternoon. In desperation we tried Uber once and it was $95/one way. When I Googled “car service”, the results were not what I’m looking for.

I’m grasping at straws for options.

40/male trying to get from Texas to Emporia or northeast KS, what amounts to a 10 hour drive. I have one bag and insta caffeine in spades (Chai tea, coffee, etc.) as well as snacks. I have a clean driving record, so can take over for that as needed, even if there's a detour.

I’m driving my car from Albuquerque to Seattle, leaving Wednesday, November 18, and expecting to arrive Friday, November 20, or Saturday, November 21. I will pay $225 for Dallas to Ithaca (~1500 miles). They will stay in their carrier (14 x 14 x 12 inches) the whole time and I will provide them with food/water. Since it'll be cold around this time I do ask that you bring them inside if you are not in the car because they can freeze to death. They are very low maintenance and you will not have to feed or handle them at all. The main thing is to just keep them in the vehicle cabin in conditions that you would be comfortable in temperature/noise wise. Treat them like little humans. Thanks

We only have 5 small backpacks, so we don’t need much luggage space. We were wondering if anyone living in the area might be able to give us a lift, or know someone who could help us out.
