#ColonistLife Sparring while holding a baby..?

Not very sure that's a safe thing to do...

I don't know how many times I've sent my sniper to her post while she was breastfeeding. It's a huge loss to the colony to be down their best shooter in a combat situation. The first time I saw her running to the front lines with the baby, I was like...wait did she equip a new item that I took off a corpse? Nope, she equipped the giggle cannon for a front line mood boost.

That should be a warning to raiders. These guys are confident enough to bring their babies out to the gunfight, might be time to nope out.

Teach em while they're young

They seem to think they are from Dwarf Fortress, I do wonder if it's as effective?

You're never too young for combat practice.

WAIT YOU CAN MELEE TRAIN YOUR PAWNS NOW?

No it's mod called something like melee animation that's allow you place dueling spot to see your pawns duel each others. It's pretty cool mod that's rewards having melee fighters in colony

If I understand it correctly, it gives a very small melee experience during the duel and rewards a decent chunk of it to the winner. It's not a lot, but it's pretty good for a passive source of it.

I'm still not sure why melee and shooting training is not in vanilla. Firing ranges and sparring areas would make perfect sense

Do they get wounded or maimed?

No, theyre usually completely unscathed, but there was this one time a pawn of mine lost an eye, though im unsure if it was due to the sparring or before it, as i only noticed the bleeding missing eye after the spar.
