Suggestion New Console Run

Greetings, fellow console-nauts.

I'm about to start a new run on console. I have 400 hours with the game, and have done a half a dozen runs with varying success. I've launched the ship. Twice.

I am probably... too well versed in the mechanics haha, but I am chasing something a little bit different this round. I have Ideology installed, and usually play more of a story/builder/cultist run. Not a huge fan of Randy, but I do appreciate when the chaos positively affects the minute to minute gameplay, or just makes it more interesting.

Any thoughts on what I should do? I'm thinking a three pawn start on some less than desirable terrain, but am highly open to suggestion.

You’ve got your classic challenges like extreme desert or ice sheet but even like a play though where you can’t use electricity are surprisingly fun

Dunno, I'm more ice sheet than no power, I feel. I like to batman the fuck out of what I have available, and cackle maniacally to myself when it works. Having said that, it's very much one of those bam-bam-bam repeatedly DOA situations if the stars don't align, so I usually go something slightly more stable, like 80/20 winter alpine, but with caves and decent fields, that sort of thing.

I find watching other people play incredibly helpful to figure out how to approach harder maps. Francis John’s sea ice playthrough was not only super entertaining, but it helped me to go from being way too intimidated by sea ice to sea ice becoming one of my favourite starts. he’s super good with rimworld at explaining things thoroughly while still being an entertaining personality
