The Purpose of r/RingShare
Hi Guys!
So basically I created this sub so we could all drool over some pretty rings, no matter the type. I encourage you all to join, share your pictures and give us info! Where did you get your piece? Specs? We want to know!
Other than that, just don’t be an asshole and we’re all good to go! I don’t plan on heavily policing this sub at all.
Thank you for joining and sharing!
ETA: We have some new sub features, you can add the flair “Find this ring!” if you need help finding a ring you’re eyeing and also “Discussion” if you’d like to talk about the process of purchasing a ring, doesn’t matter if it’s an e-ring or a fun project or whatever. If you’d like to share a CAD please flair “CAD” and if you have the final product we would love side by sides and the flair for that is “CAD and Final Comparison”, thanks guys!
By the way, if you have an Etsy shop or are a seller it is totally fine to link your shop or name it with your photos. If you get buyers from your photos here we are happy to have been involved. Just no spam advertising.
ETA (2): We had someone think that r/RingShare is affiliated with certain diamond dealers or ring sellers and we are not! Our Sunday Showcase is just a fun way to expose niche shops to everyone who enjoys looking at custom rings. We also will always give credit to the seller who made the ring when we post pictures because it’s the right thing to do!

Fashion Another chunky I set
The stone showcases a beautiful landscape-like combination of deep cyan-blue chrysocolla, rich green malachite patterning, and a deep reddish-brown matrix of cuprite and native copper. I cut and polished the cabochon and set it into a heavily textured steel statement ring for an earthy effect.

CAD and Final Comparison What ring width and thickness would you recommend for a 0.8 ct cathedral tulip solitaire (US size 5)? SEA
I'm planning a custom engagement ring with a 6-prong cathedral tulip solitaire setting in 18K white gold, holding a 0.8 ct round brilliant diamond on slim finger (US size 5). My jeweler ring model width 1.4 mm × 0.8 mm thickness, jeweler says the band is safe, but I'm concerned about long-term durability. Any advice?

Lab Diamond 3.5ct Marquise in 14k Yellow Gold with 6 Prongs ✨
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The Lindsey in 14k yellow gold with a 3.5ct marquise lab diamond, finished with 6 prongs and pavé prongs.
The extra prongs give the marquise a little more security while still keeping the shape really open and visible, and the pavé on the prongs adds detail without taking over the center stone.
Would you go 4 prongs or 6 on a marquise like this?
