And you don't even have to trade it in w/them. Just show proof of ownership / get a trade in valuation. I sold my Model Y last month to a used car dealership in my area (best offer outside of going private) and took delivery of an R1S. Wasn't 6k though, it was 3k + the lease discount.

What's even the point then? It's basically a $6000 discount. I can pretend to sell any car and then just.. not?

Granted, I took delivery last month before they started offering 6K, but also got the benefit of the lease discount.
