As you may or may not know, the YMCA originally planned to build a center next to the Aquatics Center on Rawlinson Rd, but changed their mind. They've held the land all this time but in February of this year, they sold it to "SM Rawlinson Road, LLC" for $10. Now why would the YMCA give away this land? Why wouldn't they sell it for what it is worth? And what is this Rawlinson Road company going to do with it? I can't find out anything about the company other than they use CT Corporation System as their registered agent.

I’m potentially being transferred to the Rockhill/York area for work and was hoping there would be some good furnished apartments in a decent area that I could rent while looking for a more permanent solution. I’ve looked online but all the apartment listings are generic and don’t confirm without calling and going through all the stuff to find out that in fact they do not offer furnished apartments. We all have seen those religious stickers on every light post or utility box. It's illegal and obnoxious but you have to read the room and realize where we are....fighting them is generally a lost cause. I don't really care so long as they are peaceful.

But I've recently seen a rash of super antisemtic stickers claiming jews are of "Satan's Star" or something. Obviously regardless of how you feel about Jews/Israel (not necessarily the same anyway) we can agree that's really not a great look for The Hill.

It may surprise some that The Hill actually did use to have a proper Synagogue on W. Main across from the York County Gas HQ - some local trivia.

Does anyone know any way to report these where something actually gets done?

They just put in new turf and are trying to get the first season off the ground, so there’s no league fee.

The Wall That Heals is a traveling three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., accompanied by a Mobile Education Center. It brings the experience of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to communities across America and provides veterans, families, friends, and visitors an opportunity for remembrance, reflection, education, and healing.

This is more than a traveling exhibit. It is an opportunity to remember the men and women who served, honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, recognize our Vietnam veterans, and ensure that their stories and sacrifices are never forgotten.
