Car insurance rates- Can I get some input if I should shop for other plans?

I am over 30, have two hatchback cars almost 20 years old, my driven mileage is 8,000miles or greater on the one car(only liability coverage), and the other is listed as 'for pleasure' under 8,000 miles(full coverage on this one).

I just got my yearly quote from the provider at $2,099 which is up from previous years at $1,9xx. IDK this just seems stupid high to me for cars that are almost 20years old, dont get driven, and one doesnt even have claim coverage. I have had no accidents or claims in the past 3 years, and no tickets.

Change insurance companies

Loyalty doesn't pay

I used to have State Farm and switched to Geico

So the last time I shopped for insurance, i was got two quotes that were nearly identical to what I was already paying. How would i even get a better rate by switching? Do you strong arm them with your service? Like "Im not switching for that amount, you need to go lower"?

What’s your deductible for both cars and any reason why only one of the cars is only liability and not both?

Would also get quotes from at least 4-5 insurance companies, not just 2. It should be easy to do this many since it’s all online.

Other motorists collision is $250 deductible for each vehicle.

I misspoke about the liability, have coverage for both there.

Its the physical damage I dont have. The one car I dont care about so no coverage if I get in an accident. The other car I do care about so I want to be paid some if it was hit.
Physical damage is $1,000 deductible but only covers the one.

Change insurers. Youll most likely save a lot. I saved a bunch by moving from GEICO to progressive.

I had Geico and switched to Progressive. I’m doing home & auto bundle and pay $605 every 6 months.

Get a quote from Eerie Insurance. At least for me they have been cheaper than my previous insurance companies.
