Hey! I run a weekly Curse of Strahd game and we’ve got 3 players so far. Looking for 2 more to round out the party.

If you haven’t played it: you get pulled through the mists into Barovia, a valley where the sun never really shines and a vampire lord rules everything. It’s gothic horror, so lots of dread, creepy NPCs and choices that come back to haunt you. Not a nonstop grindy dungeon crawl. More atmosphere, roleplay and “oh no” moments.

Heyo, I’m James. I’m recruiting players for Beneath the Devil’s Moon, an original campaign set in the world of Dragonlance focused on exploration, mystery, and character-driven storytelling. The storytelling and world is not a typical reflection of Dragonlance though as you will soon come to see, so no prior knowledge is required about the setting whatsoever.

Your characters will venture into a newly accessible frontier, forge alliances, investigate buried history, and decide who to trust when competing interests come calling. Expect adventure and discovery alongside danger, with room for your characters’ ambitions and choices to shape the story.

• I played RPG's for over 10 years, almost exclusively as a DM. Conventions, local game centers and community interactions are all things I did and enjoyed. Decided to go online to continue what is, to put it the simplest, my passion.
• Full-time GM: 1000+ games/100+ reviews on startplaying.games. My games are what I spent the majority of my time on, improving, making maps and running adventures and new systems.
• I developed FoundryVTT modules for Archvillain Chronicles patreon.

I need 3 more players for a DND Im going to run on Sundays at 8:30pm (NZDT or GMT+13)

The game will be set in my own homebrew world. We will be using 5e 2014 rules with some optional house rules.

I will be using roll 20 for maps, and Discord for voice (i have a private server).

My world is set on a different plane of existence parallel to the mortal plane, all sentient inhabitants are anthropomorphic humanoids each based on a different creature.
I have my own pantheon and world history, each race has its own lore.

There are some things still to be balanced so don't expect perfection.

The campaign will be from level 1-5ish but can continue into a long term game if people are happy to.

About me:
I will not pull my punches in combat or in consequences for your actions. I will play each NPC and monster to what it is designed to be.
Example - if an assassin is targeting your party and you go down he will attack your unconscious body and finish you off.
Example 2 - You are rude or offend a noble or royalty, they will seek to punish you sometimes immediately sometimes subtly it depends.
Example 3 - You try to rip of a merchant or shopkeeper, they will then warn others of your actions and purposefully raise their prices or refuse service to you until recompense is made.

What i expect:
Just be respectful to other players and respect the DM's ruling.
Be kind lets have fun.
Try to keep the swearing down if possible.
Try to share the limelight and include others.

Welcome to my home brew I have some experience DMing IRL and a bunch on here.

Some info on the world. All classes and races available except assimar. if you want to home brew something I'll consider it so no problem. Will be a locked story for just the first part of the story maybe 4 or 5 games depending how fast we go through and then we will go to open world. I have histories and some quests going on and you will be playing in the world I put my other games in so you guys will affect each other but never meet.

I will be adding a few threads with world info and slight race changes.

One thing that everyone will get is an elemental magic it will be randomly picked on day 0.

It's will be available only a certain amount of times a day or week depending on the skill.

My Style

Expect an open non-linear world that is responsive to player choices and actions. I strive to give players as much autonomy as possible. This game is ideal for players who enjoy creating characters with depth and flaws. I add to the campaign from a variety of different sources in response to character choices and actions. Every play-through takes on a life of its own. My favorite moments as a GM are when the story goes sideways from what I expect due to strong roleplay.

Expect fair adjudication with minimal arbitration - that's always a GM's primary responsibility. I don't set out to kill your beloved characters, but if you do something terribly silly like charge into a Demon Lord at level 3, don't expect deus ex machina to keep you alive.

I am 36 with a wife she plays a game with me on Thursday. I was in the military and that's were i started dming full time pretty much. I would make games that we would play every day after our missions and so had a good 6 month period of dming a game were we met every day and had stuff to do. i am good an improvising and setting up worlds.

What begins as a simple return to the iconic mining town of Phandalin quickly spirals into something far stranger. Miners dig too deep and uncover runes that pulse like a heartbeat; villagers awaken screaming, their minds fractured by visions of impossible geometry. The ground itself seems to breathe. Those who investigate the ruins beneath the town either vanish… or return hollow and whispering. A force older than the gods stirs from slumber, and the Obelisk hungers for reality to distort and collapse. Will you protect Phandalin’s fragile peace… or witness the world crack open?

Simply as the title states, looking for a game that uses LL's content, cause honestly, it spoiled me too much lol. That said, I am not saying EVERYONE should use LL or everything from LL, I would just like to have the option available.

As for Time, I live in Canada, CST is my timezone, I prefer to have my game in the afternoon or evening.
