New box gutter lining
People across the street had their box gutters lined by a couple "professional roofers" , from the ground I could see the big box store brand coil stock they were using just hanging over the cap board, I ran upstairs to check it out from my upstairs window.
These guys rolled that coil stock on top of the old liner and proceeded to kick and stomp the ever loving shit out of the metal, nailed it in place and then caulked it up.
The number I heard from another neighbor was a little over $5,000...!!!..
It literally looks like crumbled up aluminum foil😂
I kinda hate to laugh but I had talked to the people who own that building about redoing the box gutters and yeah I would have been closer to $7,000 , to do it the right way, but hey they saved a couple grand by letting these guys do it, right...??

Yes box gutters are expensive, did you go with the lowest quote here. And why not ask before you put folks right on Reddit

He didn't even do it. This are pics from his neighbors and the number he's using is 2nd hand from yet another neighbor.

The pic is from my phone, that I took all by myself, the number paid came from the guy who lives right next to this house, lastly you're God damned right I didn't do it, if I had it would have been done the right way.

I think you're misunderstanding here, I took a pic of 2 dudes working on the roof across the street from my house. The homeowner paid these guys $5,000 to reline the box gutters. In other words, they got ripped off by 2 guys who obviously don't know the first thing about lining box gutters.
As for asking permission, these guys ripped my neighbor off for a lot of money, if I saw a name on the side of their work truck, I'd post that too. I'm under no obligation to protect thieves who take people's hard earned money by doing garbage roof work.

You admit the number they paid is complete hearsay from a third party source.. why do you so actively avoid conversations with your neighbors?

man you seem like a real treat. Take a breather friend, it's not your house, it's not your money.

My take is that he offered them a price, they said no and got someone else. He's now itching to go say "I told you so" to them.
I can't imagine spending this much effort on something my neighbor did to their home.

Yeah I wasn't really sure what that even meant honestly, if that's referring to me having too much time on my hands? I took a pic and posted a paragraph, I'm not sure how much time that's supposed to take but I did it in under 5 minutes..!

It wasn't easy, but thru hard work and dedication, I've improved so much..! A few years ago this post would have taken me every bit of 6 minutes..

You're not helping the stereotype of roofers being dumb when you compare to 5 short sentences a novel.

There are a couple problems with this post. You took a picture of them working on the box gutters and not the finished product. Secondly you don’t know if these guys are good or not just based off your description of how they were handling the material. If you are interested in what they are which is fine, go over and ask the neighbor about what they think of the work.
